AMAC Honors Congressional Champions at 2025 American PATRIOT Awards on Capitol Hill

AMAC returned to Capitol Hill this week for the 2025 AMAC American PATRIOT Awards. This tradition initiated by AMAC’s late founder Dan Weber honors lawmakers who advance the principles and priorities of our membership. This year’s ceremony celebrated the House and Senate leaders who helped pass President Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, landmark legislation delivering meaningful relief to America’s seniors.

The event highlighted the unique partnership between AMAC Action’s advocacy team in Washington and AMAC members throughout the country. From the moment the One Big Beautiful Bill was introduced, AMAC members were “all in,” generating an extraordinary 40,000 contacts to Congress urging passage. Their engagement – combined with AMAC Action’s on-the-ground work – played a critical role in building the momentum behind the bill’s success.

Thirty-two members of Congress personally received the American PATRIOT Award from AMAC CEO Rebecca Weber during the ceremony. Honorees included leading advocates such as Senator Rick Scott, Senator Steve Daines, Senator Marsha Blackburn, Senator Joni Ernst, Rep. Greg Steube, Rep. Vern Buchanan, Rep. Carol Miller, Rep. Rudy Yakym, Rep. Jay Obernolte, Rep. Randy Feenstra, Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, Rep. Jim Jordan, Rep. Mike Carey, Rep. David Kustoff, and Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, among others.

In presenting the awards, AMAC CEO Rebecca Weber emphasized both the historic nature of the One Big Beautiful Bill and the deep gratitude of AMAC’s 2.1 million members. “These lawmakers stood with America’s seniors when it mattered most, and their leadership was essential in delivering real, lasting relief,” Weber said. “The One Big Beautiful Bill is proof that good policy is still possible when elected officials put people first. AMAC is proud to honor each of these champions for their commitment to the values our members fight for every day.”

The AMAC American PATRIOT Awards continue to serve as a meaningful reminder that strong partnerships between citizens and their elected representatives can shape the future of our country. AMAC will continue to hold these ceremonies to recognize Congressional allies who champion policies that reflect AMAC’s mission—supporting seniors, strengthening families, and defending American values.

With the calendar soon flipping to 2026, AMAC remains committed to advocating for policies that benefit older Americans and hold Washington accountable. This week’s event reaffirmed the truth that when AMAC members stand together, their voice echoes through Capitol Hill and the halls of power.
