The White House and Department of Education have partnered with educational platform PragerU to create a “Founders Museum” that brings American history to life like never before. At both the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington, D.C., and online, viewers can get first-hand accounts from major founding-era figures thanks to revolutionary AI technology.
The White House and PragerU announced the new exhibit on Tuesday at an unveiling ceremony as part of the administration’s efforts to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the nation’s founding next year. The in-person exhibit is titled “Road to Liberty: The Men, Women, and Moments That Forged the United States” and showcases historical figures and events significant to the nation’s founding.
Education Secretary Linda McMahon, Second Lady Usha Vance, and PragerU CEO Marissa Streit attended the unveiling of the exhibit. The second lady described the exhibit as a “tribute to courage” and explained that America must honor the past to shape a better future.
“Today, let us not just open an exhibit, but also new chapter of reflection, gratitude, and shared purpose, and then to continue to honor the past by shaping a more just and noble country,” she said.
The online component of the exhibit can be accessed on the White House’s website as well as PragerU’s platform. The web exhibit includes categories for the signers of the Declaration of Independence, ladies of the American Revolution, and major events of the American Revolution.
Each category consists of videos where historical figures such as Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and Martha Washington discuss their own significance to the nation’s past. The library of videos is growing, with more biographies planned for patriots like Samuel Adams, Abigail Adams, and Phillis Wheatley.
PragerU notably brought the historical figures to life in these videos using AI to create strikingly lifelike depictions.
The in-person exhibit features portraits of America’s founders through the halls of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building with QR codes for each portrait. These QR codes take visitors to the videos of the online exhibit to create an interactive experience.
Streit praised the work that the Trump administration has accomplished to celebrate America’s legacy and appreciated the administration’s work with the exhibit.
“How lucky we are to have an administration with vision, love of country, and a culture of excellence—especially as America prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday,” she said, according to Breitbart. “I have no doubt this milestone will be a moment of pride for every American, and we at PragerU are honored to contribute in any way we can.”
McMahon also delivered remarks at the exhibit’s unveiling ceremony. She thanked everyone who has worked to ensure students receive a “patriotic education.”
“Those in attendance today who have dedicated their lives to patriotic education know that there is a golden thread running through the history of Western Civilization we must teach our students to recognize and to follow,” McMahon said. “No matter how complicated the labyrinth of modern politics becomes, that thread will lead us through.”
