The nation’s top Medicaid official said he is upgrading the government’s technology to stop illegal immigrants from receiving Medicaid.
“We now can do it a very straightforward way for the 44 states that don’t have state-based Medicaid plans for us to be able to audit it,” Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz said in response to a question from the Daily Signal.
“The people that we’re paying for, our citizens or not, in the state-based plans, like I mentioned in California, there’s a few other states, Colorado, Washington, Illinois, they have their own plan, so we have to now audit their plans,” he said.
Oz said in November that “more than one billion of federal taxpayer dollars were being spent on funding Medicaid for illegal immigrants” by five states and the District of Columbia.
Medicaid directors have asked the administration to rebuild the tech infrastructure of Medicaid to make auditing the program easier, Oz said. He said he is taking the first steps toward fixing how data flows in order to save taxpayer dollars and prevent people from taking advantage of the program.
“If you want to use technology to help Americans connect better with the health care system, you have to update them,” Oz said.
The former TV star said he is partnering with every major tech company to upgrade the health care system.
“The president has been supportive of this, so we’re upgrading the system, and my hope is that we can use the tech transformation tools of this government to bring people to work with us from the private sector, and every major tech company is a partner of ours.”

Unfortunately, Medicaid and Social Security benefits have been going to illegal aliens for years. This fraudulent corruption grew slowly over the course of many years, but now has become blatantly obvious.
Along with free Medicaid, the illegals have also been receiving housing and educational benefits. This is terribly wrong as there are many Americans in need of these benefits that cannot get them due to the fraudulent payments to illegals.
There are illegals receiving housing benefits while we have veterans living on the streets. Illegals are filling ERs across the nation, while many Americans cannot receive the medical aid they need.
Also unfortunate is that third world citizens bring their morals and mindset with them. Most do NOT want to integrate into American culture and thus become a drag on the economy. While not all third world citizens hold this view, far too many do and this will remain a problem until the majority of them are returned to their country of origin.
Illegals should receive ZERO from the taxpayers. If they can’t support themselves AND their families, go back home! Also, let Steyer, Soros, and the other Marxists pay for them since they want them in the country!
It’s about time. If Congress wants illegal aliens to get Medicaid, they need to change the existing laws. Until that happens, the Executive Branch needs to enforce the laws we have.

One is distressed for people who need medical care and cannot afford it. But there are so many American citizens who are facing this that we absolutely cannot afford to be paying for anyone who is coming in illegally, and is taking advantage of the system, even to the point where enormous fraud is being committed.
Of course this is needed. Legal immigrants can’t receive Medicaid or SNAP for 5 years after arriving in this country. Why should those who broke the law to come here get Medicaid or any government assistance. If you need assistance you should go back to your own country. Legal immigrants have a sponsor to fall back on. These illegals live off the taxpayers to live here. Colorado is the worst state to fund all these illegals’s lives, we need to put this on the ballot to stop this immediately. These lawless people are no immigrants, they breech the border and just walked in. They came at the invitation of Autopen Biden and we taxpayers are providing for them at the cost of our own govt assistance we might need. Children are dying because all the money goes to those people who crossed the border illegally. I have no empathy for them. Their own govt and our govt were behind bringing them here. Those in jails and mental institution. They were not destitute, the Coyotes earned thousands of dollars to bring them to the border. NGO’s helped to feed and shelter them on the way. Dr Oz has the right policy and I hope the states like Colorado get their comeuppance one of these days, so that the citizens can get the medical treatment they need. There is too much fraud in these welfare programs even with the computers. No oversight was ever put into these programs. That is why we are now 37 trillion dollars in debt and still growing. President Trump and his cabinet can only do so much. The senate and the House don’t care. The democrats don’t care. We the people have to petition the governors of these dem states to put this on the ballot. Time is now. They have been in power long enough.
You can only win the battle if you make it impossible to let the state systems, California and Minnesota immediately come to mind, from simply take federal dollars and then redistributing them through their fraudulent state systems.
If only the $$ would go to legal American citizens on Medicaid who really need it, like the disabled. Also, some caregivers are paid to provide care to Medicaid recipients, but both the Medicaid patients and the caregivers have been told that Medicaid can never pay them more. The amount they can receive has been limited for years. So those individuals really struggle to survive. Something could be done about that if the illegals were not getting all that money and if there wasn’t other massive fraud in the system. Thank God for President Trump and his team, and how they are exposing and changing things. God bless them!

I sure wish Dr. Oz had answered the second question of the young lady at the beginning of this video, concerning the current defunding of Planned Parenthood which will expire on July 4, 2026 unless something is done. This is a very serious issue.
Here in Idaho, they don’t even tell us there is an election coming. Now with all this secrecy not only are they getting in people, powerful people, controllers, treasures, they want but ALSO passing legislation, LAWS, that we don’t want!! There was EVEN an advertisement on TV that they PASSED a law that said business here HAD TO HIRE ILLEGAL PEOPLE. Now when they hire these ALIENS they hire them at extremely cheap wages, so HOW DO THEY MAKE A LIVING ON $3.00 P/HR???? We the TAX Payers are TASKED with SUBSIDESING their wages: ie housing, phones, medical, food, clothing ETC. I see them congregating at the local grocery stores & in the back isles of Walmart. My doctors office confided in me that it was REALLY UPSETTING that they just come in & present the card & get it free. I can’t even get health care at a fair rate!!!!!

I have been writing the senators, Mike Crapo & James Risch for a while & all I get is a Generic letter saying “Thank You for the opportunity to respond to your questions”!! Why isn’t the Congress doing its job? There is no reason any person on American soil illegally should receive any financial assistance at all. Any dollars doled by government officials and employees to people with no legal standing amounts to theft and the individuals involved should be arrested and prosecuted as thieves.

It really pisses me off that my money has been paying for medical care for illegal aliens. Along with all the fraud we are finding out about and all the waste, no wonder our national debt is so high. We’ve been getting taken advantage of by the whole damn world. Get these illegals out of our country, and deny medical care to anyone who can’t prove they are a citizen. Boot them out of emergency rooms where they go for anything, because hospitals have to treat them, and stop the hospitals closing down like the only one in my town did, they went broke due to all the illegals getting treatment and not paying. I worked and paid taxes all my life, now retired, and my property taxes are going to educate no-english speaking illegal kids, teachers have to be at least bilingual now, costing more, books and written materials have to be in english and spanish. Declare English as the official language of the USA, stop printing anything in spanish or any other language, unless it is done at private expense. And do not let non-english speaking kids into our public schools. Republicans are just as guilty as democraps too, they have been looking the other way for decades because they wanted cheap labor.
We have a system in place to verify the SS # of anyone getting a job, but not one state requires employers to use it, E-Verify. We are just now requiring commercial drivers of big rigs to read English. We have to fix this crap now. Thank You Dr. Oz.
So all I could find out about which states were doing this – there are 6 CA, CO, IL and WA. It doesn’t list (GROK) which others. If we don’t stop this all over the country, we will never get them all out!
