WASHINGTON, DC, Aug 8 -- Beware the violent abortion supporters and the civil war they are waging against their pro-life brethren. The conflict has escalated steadily since before the Supreme Court ruled to overturn the 50-year-old Roe vs. Wade decision. At first it was a war of words.
"I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price," as Senator Chuck Schumer declared in March of 2020. He quickly retracted the language he used in warning the two Supreme Court Justices of the consequences of overturning Roe vs. Wade. Sure enough, a little more than two years later, in May of 2022, it was leaked that the Court was prepared to overturn the 50-year-old abortion decision and violence ensued-- violence that has pitted Americans against Americans ever since. Shortly thereafter a self-appointed armed hitman was arrested near Justice Kavanaugh’s Maryland home and admitted that he was out to kill him.
And then on May 18, Axios News reported that the Department of Homeland Security had issued “a memo warning that threats targeting Supreme Court Justices, lawmakers and other public officials, as well as clergy and health care providers — ‘are likely to persist and may increase leading up to and following the issuing of the Court’s official ruling’."
And persist they have. Take the group known as Jane’s Revenge that has the unofficial motto “If abortions aren’t safe then you aren’t either.” The name of this gang of thugs is a reference to the Jane Collective, a dissident organization that aided and abetted women seeking abortions prior to Roe vs. Wade. It is engaged in violent warfare against the pro-life movement on a large scale.
In a dispatch issued in June, the clandestine organization states: “You have seen that we are real, and that we are not merely pushing empty words. As we said: we are not one group but many. You have seen us in Madison WI, Ft. Collins CO, Reisertown MA, Olympia WA, Des Moines IA, Lynwood WA, Washington DC, Ashville NC, Buffalo NY, Hollywood FL, Vancouver WA, Frederick MA, Denton TX, Gresham OR, Eugene OR, Portland OR, among others, and we work in countless locations invisibly. You’ve read the communiqués from the various cells, you’ve seen the proliferating messages in graffiti and elsewhere, and you know that we are serious.”
The authorities have been remiss in targeting Jane’s Revenge and its supporters, including its violent followers who have engaged in mayhem against numerous pro-life individuals and institutions. Senator Marco Rubio posted a letter he sent to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland on the his website. It reflected his disappointment that Garland has not taken action to deal with the Revenge group’s criminal activities. He wrote: “Despite the damage that has already been done and even though these groups have kept their promise to raise the violent stakes, the DOJ has not been faithful to its promise of ensuring the public’s safety against these violent, radical activists. To date, there has not been a single charge brought against any individual or group despite the countless pro-life centers in America that have been firebombed and vandalized in recent months.”
If this is your first time reading about Jane’s Revenge, perhaps it is because the mainstream media -- for whatever reason -- has not revealed the given name of the anarchist organization. Fox News reports that “News networks ABC, CBS, NBC and MSNBC have provided scant coverage of violence and vandalism directed at pro-life groups and expressly avoided mentioning on air the name of the far-left group taking credit for them ... According to a Grabien Media search, mentioned ‘Jane's Revenge’ by name on any broadcast.” This despite the fact the group “has taken responsibility for or been linked to more than a dozen intimidating acts targeting organizations opposed to abortion since the majority Supreme Court opinion leaked in early May that Roe vs. Wade would be overturned.”
