With each passing day, more details emerge about how truly radical Biden’s $5 trillion dollar spending plan is. However, while the legislation is chock full of far-left policies and should be a golden opportunity for Republicans to underscore the dangerous new direction of the Democratic Party, Congressional Republicans by and large have been lethargic in mobilizing against the Biden plan.

Initially, it looked as if Senate Republicans would use the looming debt ceiling to extract some concessions or perhaps even sink the bill altogether. But then came the news late last week that Senate Republican leadership had instead reached a deal with Democrats to extend the debt limit until December 3, in effect handing over the only real bargaining chip the Republicans had at their disposal.

So as the Congressional GOP continues to dither in forming an effective response, former President Donald Trump filled the void and delivered a brutal takedown of the bill during his rally Saturday night at the Iowa state fairgrounds just outside Des Moines. In a few short minutes, Trump provided the most comprehensive critique to date of just how sinister the Democrat bill is.

Speaking before a raucous crowd, Trump got right to the point: “It’s a socialist transformation bill, it’s an Open Borders bill, it’s an American Energy destruction bill, it’s an illegal race-based discrimination bill, it’s a corrupt elections bill, it’s a bankrupt Medicare bill, it’s a bankrupt Social Security bill, and it is a naked power grab by the likes of Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, AOC, and Ilhan Omar,” he said.

The former president then went into detail about some of the more radical provisions in the bill, many of which have been sparsely reported on in the media. His criticisms were both specific and incisive, exposing how the bill amounts to little more than a power grab for Democrats. “This bill is a sinister combination of job-killing tax hikes and woke fascism that will destroy our nation,” Trump said.

As Trump explained, the bill would tax businesses at 26.5% –higher than in communist China – and raise the capital gains and qualified dividends tax from 23.8 percent to 31.8 percent. Since China has no capital gains tax, this would effectively make the integrated tax rate on businesses twice as high in the U.S. as in China.

Trump’s reproach of the tax provisions in the bill also come on the heels of an analysis from the nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation which found that the bill would raise taxes on families at all income levels, running counter to a key Biden campaign promise to not raise taxes on anyone earning less than $400,000.

Moreover, as Trump explained, the bill would not only take more money out of Americans’ pockets through taxes, but would also lead to higher gas prices and job-killing energy regulations. The bill would “demolish the U.S. energy industry,” Trump said, “starting with a $630 billion dollar down-payment on the socialist Green New Deal.” As if that weren’t bad enough, as Trump also explained, the economic policies in the bill would likely lead to a worsening of the ongoing inflation crisis and could thrust the U.S. into the dreaded realm of stagflation.

Trump also spoke at length about the immigration policies in the bill and the provisions in the legislation that would abolish the Hyde Amendment and fund abortions, subsidize the liberal media, impose Critical Race Theory on government employees, and empower the IRS to harass Democrats’ political enemies, among other items on the progressive wish list.

Beyond the specific legislative proposals in the bill, Trump called out the special carve-outs for liberal lawmakers and supporters scattered throughout the legislation. Some of the most egregious examples include $200 million for a golf course in Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s district, special tax breaks for unionized workers and companies not available to nonunion workers, and a $50,000-per-year tax credit for liberal journalists, just to name a few.

In closing, Trump warned that “the Radical Democrats will lower the final price tag to try to fool the public, but the bottom line will always be a socialist transformation of America.”

If Republicans are going to effectively oppose Biden’s spending plan, turn public opinion against the bill, and ramp up pressure on Democrats to vote against it, they are going to have to convey to the public what is actually in the legislation, and explain why it would be bad for the country. While their efforts thus far leave much to be desired, President Trump perhaps showed the way forward, laying out a road map for opposing the bill that just may help sink it – and possibly provide a clear path to victory in next year’s midterm elections.

So far, however, Republican groups and politicians have been woefully inadequate at conveying that message to the American people. According to recent reporting from Axios, liberal groups have outspent conservative ones by more than 50% – $36.8 million to $19.1 million – in ads supporting Biden’s spending plan. That spending is providing a measure of political cover for vulnerable Democrats ahead of next year’s midterm elections.

President Biden has also hit the road – a rare sight for the hermitlike President – to sell his plan to potential skeptics. Last Tuesday, for example, he visited Democratic Rep. Elissa Slotkin’s red-leaning district in Michigan, calling his spending bill an issue of “competitiveness versus complacency.”

That slogan characterizes the fight over Biden’s spending plan remarkably well for Republicans too. So far, most have chosen complacency. But with President Trump to lead the way, a man always defined by his willingness to take on any fight and never give in, there may be hope yet for Republicans to kill Biden’s agenda before it can even get off the ground.

Pretty soon they will have all the illegals in place across the country to continue with the chaos that they started with Antifa and blm. Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that you protect us from this evil administration. I pray that these people would find it in their hearts to seek you and accept you as their savior so they too will have everlasting life with you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

It’s really sad seeing the damage to our Republic that’s been done in such a short time with the current so called “administration”. It’s functioning more like a regime in a third world country. But when you use their voting systems, that’s what you get. We the people are supposed to be in charge of how our country is run, not the opposite. Conservatives need to wake up and soon before we have no country.

Just too many RHINOS that always deceive our party (there all SWAMP CREATURES) now we are paying ridiculously high prices for basically everything and forget about fuel and energy costs) how could this regime in charge collapse our energy production here and allow Russia and others to ramp up there oil production? Now slides Biden wants to get oil from them after he put thousands of hard working Americans out of work and shut down our oil production here in the USA . This is a disaster and all of us better be involved with stopping these Marxist traders of our country and constitution . It’s so obvious what this administration is doing with any and everything it’s all about government oversight of the elites over the deplorable American people.

This is going to bankrupt this country and it needs to stop. Trump is right the Democrats are relentless, so we need to keep up pressure on the elected officials to do the right thing for the nation.

Republicans, not all, don’t have the spine of an oyster. They’re too afraid of what the media will say about them. One of the worst is Senate Majority leader McConnell since he has the power to stop any bill from coming before that body. How he remains in that position let alone get reelected to the senate is beyond me. He along with the other 9 that went along with it and I’m embarrassed to admit that one of them was from my state.

My personal opinion is that modern Republicans have donned a Progressive personna leaning way more left than they should. I believe it’s solely because they think they NEED to in order to get votes in the next election. I’ve seen it countless times, Republicans siding with the Democrats for fear that they end up on the “wrong side of things.” It really solidifies my belief that only a handful of politicians believe in representing their base. But I do pause now… I used to wonder, “how is it possible that these lefty progressives that continually destroy their communities and States keep getting elected?” But after the events of the 2020 General Election and the following GA Special Senate Elections (as well as elections around the world), I really know now. They aren’t re-elected… They simply cheat. I don’t care if you’re Democrat, Republican, Independent, or other, you simply cannot stand for that! If you want true democracy, it starts and ends with true and fair elections… Period!

It is time for all Republicans in Washington to get up off their butts and fight against these bills. No compromises because certain DemocRats up there are devious and lyers. It is time for many of the Democrats to not support these bills because only about eight or nine of them will have all the power and the only way to keep thei political jobs is to vote for what ever these eight or nine elite wants. I really don’t see why anyone would want to put up with the dictatorship of Pelosi or Schumer. Notice I didn’t mention Biden because he is just a puppet with no real power. Democrats voting against these deceptive bills would probably put Pelosi and Schumer out of their arrogant positions and help save the USA and they would not have to learm Chinese. I have just fallen in love with a new word….”dither”….oh it’s not new to me, just new in the application.
The dictionary says: dither…a state of flustered excitement or fear….to act irresolutely…to vacillate.
Exactly the right terms to apply to our republican elected leaders who just never seem to show a back bone, kohonas or any other sign of strength of character. I’m going to start using “dither” in all my correspondence to my “elected” representatives….from city hall to the halls of Congress. Ditherers…that’s it…..ditherers….I love this word. Much better than swaffle, waffle, flake, bozo.smuck or putz.

D) The same folks who own the democratic party.
E) We don’t care because federal elections don’t matter anymore.

MOST Republicans ARE JUST LIKE EVERY DEMOCRAT, they are ONLY INTERESTED in STAYING IN OFFICE! . . . NOT for the salary they make, but for ALL THE BRIBES they receive FROM LOBBYISTS! . . . Most DON’T CARE about the average American Citizen other than getting their vote keeping them in office. This can be solved very quickly and easily, it’s called: TERM LIMITS! . . . TERM LIMITS! . . . TERM LIMITS!

President Trump is spot-on.
The established GOP elected officials are AWOL, save an extreme minority of voices. That, sadly, is not unusual in the least. The established GOP officials only know how to yield; to dither (unproductively); and to capitulate, usually without a whimper (save those in the extreme minority). Exactly why I refuse to call myself a “Republican”.

EXCEPT for a very FEW Republicans they will at the last minute let you down. EVERY FRIGGEN TIME, FOR MANY YEARS. President Trump saved the party during his Presidency. The MAJORITY are a bunch of WOOSIES and POLITICAL ANAMILS. Worried about THEMSELVES, NIT THE COUNTRY OR THE AMERICAN CITIZENS. I am quiting the Republicans. Going back to being an Intelligent INDEPENDENT ( leaning Conservative ) THINKING VOTER.

According to media, Fed debt went up $7.8 Trillion during Trump 4-year term & that the Repblicans voted three times to increase the debt ceiling. Why did debt increase? And This Biden bill of 3.5-5 T needs to be torn apart & get rid of all of the pork projects. Why increase debt by paying with more debt.

The article states “Initially, it looked as if Senate Republicans would use the looming debt ceiling to extract some concessions or perhaps even sink the bill altogether. But then came the news late last week that Senate Republican leadership had instead reached a deal with Democrats to extend the debt limit until December 3, in effect handing over the only real bargaining chip the Republicans had at their disposal.”

This is precisely what is wrong with the RINO wing of the Republican party in Congress. In both chambers of Congress by the way. Once again, Mitch McConnell has managed to toss away any leverage the Republicans in Congress might have had in hopes of actually killing the Democrat’s reconciliation bill in exchange for virtually NOTHING. Don’t buy the spin fellow Congressional RINOs and some on FOX tried to put out last week, that this was some amazing strategy by McConnell. It was NOT. It was a pure cave to the Democrats.

By the way, this is NOT a one time event. McConnell has done this sort of thing repeatedly over his tenure as head of the Senate Republicans. McConnell’s plea that he won’t help the Democrats out again rings completely hollow. Come December, when Congress is racing, as usual, to go on holiday recess and the public isn’t paying any attention, the RINO wing of the party will once again bail out the Democrats yet again.

The Democrats wanted Republican fingerprints on any extension of the debt ceiling, so they wouldn’t have to justify to the American people the cost of the reconciliation bill that is designed to transform the United States into a socialist country. Now they don’t have to and they will play around with the bill’s funding timetables to make it appear the bill will cost less, so Manchin will vote for it before year’s end. So all McConnell did was give the Democrats more time to fiddle with the numbers in the reconciliation bill in order to get Joe Manchin to agree to vote for it.

I have to agree with the article that to date, the Republican Congressional response so far as been lukewarm at best. In many cases nearly non-existent. Just an endless parade of Republicans on FOX, Newsmax and a few other networks repeating the same half a dozen general talking points over and over again, with no real command of the consequences of the each item in the bill. Basically their appearances to date on TV and radio have been glorified two or three minute campaign ads for the mid terms. Which I fear is all most Congressional RINOs think this is all about.

I also agree that President Trump has been consistently correct in his assessment of what the Democrats are doing and what they will do to get their way. He has also correctly outlined what that will do to the United States. By the way, Trump was also completely accurate in 2020 as to what the Biden administration would do, if they “won” the election as well. He continues to be largely one of the few people on the Republican side that is willing to tell the American people the truth about what is going on in Washington and how it will impact them going forward.

Why does it take ( 1 ) man, no longer in office to speak the truth here? Where the hell are the non-RINO’s within the Republican Party fighting against this socialists’ madness? Enough is enough already, do they NOT see what is about to happen?
We are witnessing first hand now what the vast majority of the Republican Party have become or perhaps have been all along, a bunch of cowardly ” sheep ” going along to get along so as NOT to lose capitol stock as politicians that call themselves lawmakers, in a word, PITIFUL…
This bulls**t bill being hoisted upon us will be the final ” nail in the coffin ” where this nation is concerned.. Look around folks, businesses are failing all around us now, people are staying home out of fear, the fed’s are now supporting them, all part of the plan & it’s working. The economy is teetering on the edge at this moment, East & West coast ports are DOA, as in closed up. Materials are just sitting off shore, creating shortages across all sectors of the US economy. Food is up 11% & rising, gasoline costs are going up in rapid fashion, heating oils & LPG are through the roof right now with winter coming on our heals…The Evergrande debacle in China is but the tip of the iceberg in this globalized world. Major corporations around the globe are now barely keeping their heads above water, the collapse of these global entities is imminent. The US economy is breaking down as I type this, our southern borders are WIDE OPEN, America is under attack & these Socialist Democrats are trying to add 5.5 trillion dollars of spending & actually think the American people will pay for it trough increased taxes?
Where the hell are these patriotic Republican lawmakers in Congress that should be fighting this tooth & nail before it is too late?
Is Donald J. Trump the only adult in the room with a set of B***S large enough to STOP this train wreck from completely consuming us all?
The entire SWAMP of DC needs to be FLUSHED down the toilet immediately.
That tyrannical gov’t our Founding Fathers warned us about is UPON all of us in this nation…
