After the defeat of Kamala Harris in November 2024, the Democrats recently decided to run an autopsy, a discovery, so to speak, of why they lost that election. These autopsies are not uncommon for the losing political party, but they only tend to work if you’re honest and you try to analyze every considerable factor or criterion without censorship or without fear.
In the case of the Democrats, though, there are certain elements of that campaign that were obviously wrong and contributed to their defeat.
So, we would expect the following: Why was Joe Biden nominated in the first place? He seemed to—after the South Carolina primary of 2020—be suddenly coronated. He had lost New Hampshire; he had lost Iowa.
And then the party bosses came in and said, “Pete Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders? These people are too radical. We’ll get old Joe Biden from Scranton, even though he’s not alert.”
And then, when he was president, they kind of created a cabal that hid his dementia. And then, when he was no longer useful and could not serve as a waxen effigy for a radical agenda under his name or his autopen, then they dumped him.
And yet, at that point, they should have had an open convention. But they didn’t. They anointed Kamala Harris, who had been a candidate in 2020—a dismal candidate—and had not won one delegate. Her campaign, truncated though it was, was a dismal failure. I mean, she went through a billion dollars.
She really didn’t have a message. She avoided the press. When she did try to speak extemporaneously, it was a word salad. And she was just an unimpressive candidate.
More importantly, though, they didn’t have issues and policies that reflected their core values, but would also appeal to the middle class.
Bill Clinton was a liberal, but he ran in ’92 and ’96 on a hundred new police officers; abortion should be legal, safe, but rare; school uniforms; juveniles who commit violent crimes should be punished accordingly; there should be a secure border; illegal immigration is wrong. And then he made a populist appeal to the middle class.
The Democrats are not going there. They don’t want to talk about the middle class because their policies—open borders, the Green New Deal, critical race theory, critical legal theory, defund the police—all that has to be rejected because they’re anathema to the middle class. They won’t do it.
Look what happened in 2008 when John McCain lost to Barack Obama. He didn’t do very well at all. He was a moderate Republican.
About 10,000 Republicans were unimpressed and stayed home, or 10,000—10 million independents, or whatever we want to call them.
But the point is, there were millions of voters who would’ve voted for a Republican candidate had he just appealed to the middle class. Instead, there wasn’t much difference—if you look at their respective campaigns—between John McCain and Barack Obama.
And when John McCain lost, there was a Republican autopsy. And what did they find? Well, they picked Michael Steele for Republican National Committee chairman because he was black and he was a McCainite. But he wasn’t the medicine for the cause of John McCain’s defeat.
Remember what they also did? They started idolizing Barack Obama. David Frum, a Republican strategist, had a very infamous essay where he compared Barack Obama to what he said was a new head of the Republican Party, Rush Limbaugh. And he said, Rush is white, he’s fat, he’s had multiple marriages. He’s not a good example.
That wasn’t the point. The point was that Rush Limbaugh had some ideas—not all of them—that could be incorporated into a new Republican message. Close the border. Protect American citizens. Try to create a new policy that favors the middle class on matters of trade and tariffs. Avoid optional wars in the Middle East—on the ground, at least—that rely on the middle class that you have neglected during globalization to fight for you. Try to be fiscally responsible.
All those were core Republican values, and yet when you looked at that Republican autopsy of 2009, it was essentially: Try to out-identity politics the other side, or let in people from south of the border illegally. It was not a corrective.
Bottom line is, until the Democrats look in the mirror and say, “We have a message that nobody wants in the middle class. It’s antithetical to the middle class on crime, on immigration, on energy, on foreign policy, on the economy,” they’ll never change.
They’re like addicts. They can’t live with DEI, with the Green New Deal, with this utopian globalization, and they can’t live without it.

Bill Clinton was a pragmatist, not ideologist, Democrats of his time are no more. What we have now are immature, uncapable, unable and clueless non adults, plus some leftover relics whose mental capacity is questionable All are prone to tantrums and will promote , excuse and use violence to get their way. They can only attract those who think someone else is responsible for them and the mess they’ve created.. No good.
Dear inconsolable democrats: Don’t give up there is hope if you open your hearts.
Have your perception’s been lifted: Or fallen and emptied?
Over time, everything breaks down. This principle seems even more relevant today, as we witness further decay in societal values and moral foundations.
The reality of progressive evil is it often comes cloaked in the guise of tolerance, and yet always destroys at the speed of rust.
It’s a slow rot, an infecting agent that spreads from one decaying organism to infect another healthy.
Furthermore, societal trends have taken darker turns.
Consider the growing number seeking euthanasia, not because they are terminally ill, but because they feel overwhelmed by the pressures and anxieties of modern life.
This reflects a profound sense of hopelessness and a disturbing devaluation of human life.
Was this God’s design? I don’t think so.
Downcast and troubled liberals, come and rest today in the broad field of promise.
For there are an abundance of precious promises, which can exactly calm your needs.
“Come unto me all you that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
What soft and assuring words!
Hardened hearts can be changed tender and the Master knows it, and therefore He speaks gently to you seeking peace and hope.
Why would you not care to know Him, and simply not listen to Him even now?
If not now for you, surely for your beloved household who deserves to know the truth of THE GOOD NEWS?
So, friend, if you’re struggling today to find peace and joy in this fallen world, consider this:
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.”
The idea that the devolution of the demonicrat party is something new is an illusion. The party was founded on evil, the battle to maintain Black slavery, and then to prohibit Black and female American voting. Its entire history is a blemish on the American soul. What is new, is the stupidity. I fear this wonderful trend will be short-lived. Whatever Satan is, it’s not stupid!
Of course they’re addicted to losing, they are a party of losers and victims whatever they do is not their fault they will find somebody else to blame for it
Last week, the country music station I listen to had some excellent news regarding the California governor’s race. Harris announced she in NOT running! A friend was “disappointed”. She wanted to see Harris go down in flames again. Me? Why waste our time?
The title of the article should read, “Democrats are addicted to losing AND cheating.”
I am in my 70’s, and was born Democrat, raised Democrat and voted Democrat. ‘Til about 25 years ago. I don’t know how many times I have heard old-time Democrats (like Ronald Reagan) say they never left the Party, but the Party left them. True dat. The Party I was affiliated with is no more. It is gone/vanished/vamoosed/left the building/give up/wore out. Somewhere along the line they decided to NOT represent what I was raised to believe, and as such, I will NEVER vote DUMBASSOCRAT forevermore.
I would really like right leaning folks to stop trying to help Democrats see their problems and suggest ways to improve. I say the Dems should keep doing what they are doing and maybe go further left. Run Kamala for Pres and Talid or AOC for VP. That would be a great ticket.
The democrats did not stand a chance in 2020 election when they did not address the Southern border problem & kept claiming it was under control. Trump thinks that 21 million illegals came into USA during Biden term & that Venezuela emptied their prisons and mental asylums into USA. What was the plan on open border ?
It’s not just the middle class (which I was till Obamacare cost me my job of twenty plus years) but the lower class (where I am now near the end of my life) that also wholeheartedly hates what the Democrats laughingly call their “values”!
DemonRats cannot support anything in regard to common sense that 90% of the population supports. Donny has all that covered. If they changed any position it would be the same as what Donny is doing and therefore, they would be supporting the conservative viewpoints!!!!
Actually, I would love to see her run for president again. It would allow Vance or Rubio to easily win for the sane citizens!
I will say one thing about Bill Clinton & that his last four years had a balanced budget and did not increase the debt. Then the next Republican administration put in tax cuts for the rich & the debt has increased every year since. Clinton increased the top rate to 39% and created 23 million jobs during his term!
