During a press briefing on Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt highlighted AMAC members who shared their feedback on how President Donald Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts Act, also known as the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” helped them keep more of their hard-earned money this tax season.

“AMAC, which represents millions of Americans, heard directly from more than 1,000 of their members already about how the Trump tax cuts are easing cost-of-living concerns and providing real breathing room in their budgets,” Leavitt said. “When President Trump signed these massive middle-class tax cuts into law last summer, these everyday Americans are exactly who he aimed to help.”

She then read several direct quotes from AMAC members who thanked President Trump for ushering through the tax cuts, which included the effective elimination of taxes on Social Security income for about 90 percent of recipients:

Dean and Wendy from Wisconsin said, “Instead of paying out $3,700 last year, we got $2,500 back in refunds. That’s huge.”

Steve from California said, “The new senior citizen deduction is a tremendous relief and has given us peace of mind—and the freedom to truly enjoy the retirement years we worked so hard for.”

Eric from Nevada said, “As a senior, no tax on Social Security helps tremendously. The no tax on tips helps my daughter-in-law as a waitress. The no tax on overtime helps my son, who works constantly. So our family savings from the One Big Beautiful Bill could total even more than the $5,000 range. We LOVE the Trump tax cuts!”

As AMAC Newsline previously reported, AMAC sent out a call-to-action for real-life stories detailing the impact of the Working Families Tax Cuts. Within just a few hours, more than 1,000 AMAC members responded, with 88 percent taking the time to leave written comments describing their experiences. Respondents reported average tax savings of $2,832, with feedback coming from all 50 states. More than half – 53.1 percent – said they saved more than $1,000, and 29.6 percent reported savings exceeding $2,500.

While most of the debate surrounding the OBBB dealt in abstract budget projections and reported costs, these responses from AMAC members represented real stories of relief and real dollars flowing back into the pockets of real Americans.

I have not prepared my 2025 Income Taxes as yet, but I DID get a refund for 2024, I DO see prices falling for food, fuel, utilities and various other consumer goods. President Trump’s Economic Policies ARE working! Undoing four years of “Bidenomics” takes time, so the American People need to be patient. Life is NOT a TV show or a movie where problems are solved in an hour or two!

My wife and I got back all I paid in, but I only got my taxes prepared yesterday ! I would call that an “actual “ cost of living increase—instead of the 26 dollars per month I started receiving in January !
