The Honorable Carmen F. Amato Jr.

New Jersey Senate

District 9

800 Atlantic City Boulevard, Suites 2 & 3

Bayville, NJ 08721

Dear Senator Amato,

On behalf of AMAC Action, the advocacy affiliate of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), with over 2 million members nationwide, including over 34,000 in New Jersey, I write in support of S. 4775, legislation that seeks to repeal New Jersey's enactment concerning access to and provision of reproductive health care services.

AMAC believes the right to life is not only granted by God but recognized in our Declaration of Independence as an unalienable right. We fight to protect the most vulnerable and defend the sanctity of life from conception to natural death. Supporting and preserving precious human life is a fundamental moral responsibility. Consistent with these principles, AMAC also believes taxpayer dollars should never be used to fund the practice of abortion.

S. 4775 represents an important opportunity for New Jersey lawmakers to reconsider policies that have expanded abortion access and weakened protections for unborn children. State laws should uphold the dignity of human life, respect the rights of conscience, and ensure that public policy reflects the responsibility to protect society's most vulnerable.

Thank you, Senator Amato, for introducing this important legislation and for your commitment to defending the sanctity of life. AMAC Action appreciates your leadership and efforts to uphold the fundamental principle that every human life has inherent value and deserves protection. We look forward to supporting S. 4775 as it moves through the legislative process.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Bengtson

Vice President

AMAC Action
