The Honorable David Kustoff
8th Congressional District of Tennessee
560 Cannon House Office Building
Washington, DC 20515

Dear Congressman Kustoff,

On behalf of AMAC Action, the advocacy affiliate of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), with over 2 million members nationwide, I write to express our strong support for the Improving Social Security’s Service to Victims of Identity Theft Act. As an organization deeply committed to safeguarding the financial and personal well-being of America’s seniors, we commend your leadership in addressing this growing problem.

The misuse of Social Security numbers continues to rise, and its impact is especially severe for older Americans who depend on their Social Security benefits for daily living and long-term financial security. Too often, victims of identity theft are left to navigate a complex and unresponsive bureaucracy, compounding the distress caused by the crime itself.

This legislation offers a common-sense, compassionate solution by establishing a single point of contact within the Social Security Administration (SSA) for victims of identity theft. By doing so, your bill will significantly improve accountability, enhance efficiency, and provide much-needed personalized support to those affected.

We believe the Improving Social Security’s Service to Victims of Identity Theft Act will help to restore trust in public institutions and ensure that our seniors receive the dignity and care they deserve. Thank you for your continued commitment to America’s seniors.

Sincerely,

Andrew J. Mangione Jr.
Senior Vice President
AMAC Action
