This legislation is about standing up for our daughters and granddaughters by refusing to allow radical policies to rob them of their futures.

The Honorable Andy Barr
6th Congressional District of Kentucky
2430 Rayburn House Office Building
Washington, DC 20515

Dear Congressman Barr,

On behalf of AMAC Action, the advocacy affiliate of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), with over 2 million members nationwide, I write to express our full support for your recently introduced legislation, H.R. 4363, the Defend Girls Athletics Act.

As advocates for fairness, decency, and the protection of our nation’s youth, we are alarmed by the increasing trend of biological males being allowed to compete in female sports at both the K–12 and collegiate levels. This is not only a gross injustice to female athletes, but also a dangerous abandonment of science, common sense, and the hard-won protections of Title IX.

For generations, American girls and women have fought for the right to compete on a level playing field. Allowing biological males to infiltrate female sports undermines decades of progress and poses serious risks to the safety and well-being of female athletes.

As grandparents, parents, and mentors, we have witnessed firsthand the positive impact of youth sports in shaping character, discipline, and resilience. These opportunities must not be compromised by ideologically driven policies that ignore biological reality and threaten the integrity of women’s sports.

We applaud President Trump’s Executive Order defending girls' athletics and commend your leadership towards codifying its provisions into law. Conditioning federal education funding on compliance is both fair and necessary to ensure accountability. Taxpayer dollars must not support institutions that disregard the basic distinctions between male and female athletes.

This legislation is about standing up for our daughters and granddaughters by refusing to allow radical policies to rob them of their futures. We urge every member of Congress, regardless of party affiliation, to stand with America’s girls and women by supporting the Defend Girls Athletics Act.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment to preserving fairness and protecting our nation’s young women.

Sincerely,

Andrew J. Mangione Jr.
