This week’s AMAC Weekly Poll lit up the comment boards as thousands of members weighed in on whether Elon Musk’s rumored third political party could shake up American politics for the better, or would just make a mess of things.
A clear majority — roughly 77 percent — said they aren’t buying it. Many worry a third party would only split the conservative vote and hand more power to the left. As one member put it plainly: “We don’t need another spoiler. We need to fix what we already have and stop the nonsense.”
Others weren’t quite ready to completely dismiss a new political option. About nine percent said they’d reserve judgment until they saw an actual platform. “Show me the plan. If it’s about freedom and sanity, I’m listening,” another member commented.
A smaller but spirited group, around seven percent, said they liked the idea of Musk shaking up the status quo. One member quipped: “We need someone to kick the swamp in the teeth. Why not Musk?”
Another six percent admitted they’re still on the fence, saying they need more information before making up their minds.
Many members brought former President Donald Trump into the conversation, signaling just how central he remains in their thinking. For some, Trump is still the fighter they trust, and they were wary of anyone who might peel away support from him. “Trump already showed us how to stand up to the establishment,” one member said. Another added: “If this party helps Trump or carries his values forward, maybe. If it hurts him, forget it.”
Still others voiced frustration with the usual choices on the ballot – particularly as Trump is now term-limited and the America First movement needs a new class of leaders to arise. They want someone fresh who still stands for Trump’s America First principles but isn’t just another politician. “We’re sick of holding our noses at the ballot box,” wrote one. “Give us a REAL choice — with backbone.”
One thing came through loud and clear: AMAC members are deeply committed to defending freedom, fiscal sanity, and constitutional values — and they’re not shy about demanding that their leaders deliver. More than 35,000 respondents took part in the poll, a testament to how engaged AMAC members are on this issue.

Elon Musk should put his money behind the group working to get a Convention of States as outlined in the 5th Amendment of our Constitution. Then we could get constitutional amendments requiring term limits, fiscal responsibility and limits on the size of federal government. Permanent change.
Musk is an unstable genius who fell to pieces the first time he didn’t get his way. Compare his histrionics to how our president endures and overcomes. Musk is not suited to the ups and downs of politics. This third party idea is a childish hissy fit that doesn’t deserve serious consideration.
HIs purpose is obviously to divide and dilute the GOP electorate enough to assure the
overwhelming victories of Democrat office-worshipers and return to power, not becasue the combined group is a more effective manager of national affairs, but as a stick in the eye to Trump and his administration. The richest man in the world has childish behaviors
and can afford to exercise them.
I lost a lot of respect for Musk after his adolescent temper tantrums when his ‘cookies’ were rationed, and his bloviating disagreement with the OBBB that helped almost every American, just not him so much.
A Third party is NOTHING more than a DIVIDER and usually allows the Commie Left to regain their historical destructive power on America and her people.
Elon, you need to mend the fences you shattered or go back to building rockets, robots and R&D cures for diseases.
I like Elon Musk, but the way he is going back and forth on his political affiliations, I don’t fully trust him. Sorry, but it is what it is. Supported President Trump, but when he didn’t like something, he backed out. Didn’t take long either. I just don;t think he knows what he wants. Grow up man!!! Not everything will be according to you. Get over yourself
Currently, J.D. Vance is the SURE WINNER for President in 2028. The man is a GREAT VP, IS YOUNG AND VIBRANT and has a firm grasp of things domestic and around the world. Every day he gains more and more knowledge and wisdom. He is calm, cool, and collected, is extremely well versed, confident, and intelligent. And most importantly, he supports Trump (for all the right reasons). And he would create a modified continuation version of MAGA, perhaps calling it LKAG (Let’s KEEP America Great). He will also have a LONG list of EXCELLENT VP choices to select from.
But NO means, NO THIRD PARTY. A Third Party is ALWAYS a divider, almost always allowing the Left-wing Socialist Commies to regain their America-destroying power. NO THANK YOU. Vance and Party 2028.
Ross Perot was a great candidate. But because of the decided vote we got stuck with criminal Clinton’s. The dems, communists, Sharia law, and one world order anarchist’s will love it.
Initially, in the poll, I thought it might be a good idea to have a third-party. But now that I have thought about it, I believe it would split the conservative vote. I think Elon Musk would be a very good leader, strong, and conservative. I just wish he and Trump would make up and he would fall into the Republican party. It is going to be very difficult to replace our great leader, Donald J Trump.
I’m fed up with all these dishonest millionaires and billionaires, there isn’t one honest one between them. They’re all in it for themselves, and to hell with the rest of us. I think a third party would be a huge mistake.
Mr. Musk’s loyalty is to be questioned. It doesn’t seem to ride with America. But, I do think it rides with his own rear end first. America had better make him show both hands at all times.
if you are too young to remember google Ross Perot
When one of my sisters had a tantrum, my mother threw water on her. She quieted immediately.
How to calm a billionaire?
If, big if, it could be done, it would be a way to get rid of all the “old guard” and rhinos and pass a term limits bill.
Teddy Roosevelt, George Wallace and Ross Perot all lost and changed the outcome of an election that should have been easily won giving it to a minority candidate.
He’s a great inventor, a damn good businessman but too much of a fruitcake to survive in politics.
Why has Elon Musk turned to the dark side, who knows? He fought to keep sanity to America and now he is going to be part of the 2030 Great Reset. Maybe George Soros, Bill Gates and others promised to support Elon’s visions to send people to Mars and to augment humans with Cyberton brain implants to compete with AI or become part of AI, the ONE WORLD GOVERNEMENT system of Rev 13.
But, yes, a third party would divide constituents enough to help the Faith – Family – Freedom, the true patriots of a Free Nation, to lose future elections and allow the demolition of the United States, that we thought Elon wanted a FREE AMERICA, where his ideas could shine and not be controlled.
People who think will remain loyal. Whigs became the republicans, so moderate democrats could become that new party.
I would prefer that he try and work from within the party by forming a MAGA/DOGE wing that workings to unseat rinos in the primaries and get out the vote in elections.
In my country of origin (Venezuela), there are a myriad of political parties, but two that kept power until Chavez’s arrival. When it was necessary to vote against him, these other parties divided votes, and then it was impossible to vote him out. The first thing he changed was the number of Supreme Court Justices, adding magistrates who were politically aligned with him. Doesn’t this sound familiar to you? And from there, any other branch of government became a branch of his political party (PSUV), converting Venezuela into a narco-state and the people into hostages of the regime. To defeat the left and all its death culture, it’s imperative to have a cohesive opposition.
This has the potential to do damage to MAGA Republicans as H Ross Perot did to the Republicans in 1992 & ’96 elections.
if Elon wants to run for election he should join an existing party. I would suggest doing like President Trump did and join the Republican party . the only other good option would be the Libertarian party
we do not need another one.
The way congress cannot work together now, do we think three parties could make things better? I think NOT.
Elon Musk is not a natural born citizen of the United Stated. So, he cannot become the President of the USA. He has only been a US citizen since 2002. Who would this third party pick for a Presidential run?
The purpose of the third party move by Musk must be seen through the lens of why – especially in the light of the transparent “break up” between Trump and Musk. First, publicly break up for no apparent reason. Next, form a third party. The result? Dems who can’t bring themselves to vote for Trump vote Musk, AND NOT DEM. Very obvious but not recognized. As the polls have shown, MAGA is unmoved and will not be diluted. The same cannot be said of the Dems.
