I read this book just prior to visiting Blue Licks Battlefield State Park in Kentucky. Winstead does a fantastic job bringing these historic characters to life. As I wandered the trails at Blue Licks, I imagined some of the scenes from Winstead’s book. The book is vivid in its descriptions without being crude or coarse. I have been recommending this book to friends on social media. I am so happy that AMAC has chosen to feature this hidden gem and highly recommend you find yourself a copy today.
