Following a strong grassroots push from AMAC members, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed Senate Bill 293 into law this week, marking a significant victory for election integrity in a vital swing state.

SB 293 establishes clear, uniform standards for absentee voting by requiring that all absentee ballots be received by Election Day. The law also requires the Ohio Secretary of State to verify registered voters’ citizenship on a monthly basis. Together, these provisions reinforce the principle that Election Day should be treated as Election Day – not election week or month – while ensuring Ohio’s voter rolls remain accurate and up to date.

More than 1,000 Ohio AMAC members contacted the Governor directly, urging him to sign SB 293, underscoring the commitment of AMAC members to protecting fair, transparent, and trustworthy elections. That member-driven advocacy proved decisive, helping secure a commonsense reform that strengthens confidence in how Ohio elections are conducted.

SB 293’s reforms represent a significant confidence builder for Ohio voters. Clear rules applied evenly reduce confusion, limit post-election disputes, and help ensure that every lawful vote is treated equally. By setting expectations in advance, the law promotes integrity and accountability without restricting access, giving voters certainty about how and when their ballots must be cast.

“Governor DeWine’s signature on SB 293 codifies a return to common sense election laws for all Ohioans,” said Ohio Election Integrity Network Board Member Laurie Groves. “Big thanks go out to the elected officials listening and acting on their voters’ concerns. We were also gratified to receive an assist from the Ohio members of AMAC – the Association of Mature American Citizens. They made over 1,000 contacts directly with the Governor as concerned voters, urging him to sign the bill.”

AMAC Action Senior Vice President Andy Mangione praised both DeWine’s leadership and AMAC’s engaged membership. “This victory is a textbook example of how informed, motivated citizens can make a real difference,” Mangione said. “Ohio AMAC members stood up for election integrity, made their voices heard, and helped deliver a law that restores clarity, consistency, and confidence in the electoral process.”

AMAC Action will continue working with members and lawmakers nationwide to advance reforms that promote transparency, accountability, and trust in America’s elections.

I really think we should go back to in person voting, with very, very few exceptions. They would be: for the military, and those that are infirm. Things were a lot simpler when these were the only exceptions.

Now we need other states to do the same thing that accept and continue counting ballots after the Election Day is over.

Arizona badly needs something like this put into place. The whole country is sick of waiting till Christmas for Arizona to finish counting its votes. But alas our Democratic Governor Katie Hopkins is the third worst Governor in the country (no one can be worse then Newscum and Tampon Tim), so it’s going to be tough sledding to get it done. But we’ll keep chopping at the door!!!

No doubt some whack-job Obama era judge will declare this all un-constitutional. Hide and watch.

“The law also requires the Ohio Secretary of State to verify registered voters’ citizenship on a monthly basis.” This needs further clarification. If, as a voter, I have been verified to be a citizen once, why would they need to re-check my status next month too? Or do they mean check every new registration within a month to confirm citizenship? Wouldn’t it be better to confirm before approving the registration at the beginning? Or do many people in Ohio lose their citizenship?

But setting a date for mail-in to be returned by, good idea. Unless you have suspect P.O. workers holding some ballots back . . .

Election Integrity is an absolute must, especially in Democrat run States, because these States are without a doubt the most corrupt States in American! Time and time again Democrat States are the ones who have been caught red handed breaking the Laws in the most agregious fashion. Under President Trump, he could get Election Intengrity put back in the Sysytem so true voices can be represented across the USA!
