Experts to guide Americans through the Social Security retirement application process.

The AMAC Foundation will host a free educational webinar“Filing for Social Security? Here’s How to Get Started,” on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 12:00 PM ET. The online event is designed to help Americans better understand the process of applying for Social Security retirement benefits and prepare for important filing decisions.

For many nearing retirement, deciding when and how to file for Social Security can feel overwhelming. This webinar will walk attendees through the application process step-by-step, including what documents and information are needed when filing either online or in person with the Social Security Administration.

During the session, participants will learn:

  • How to begin the Social Security retirement application process
  • What information and documentation are required
  • Differences between filing online and filing in person
  • Common mistakes applicants should avoid
  • Tips for making the filing process smoother and less stressful

The webinar is part of the AMAC Foundation’s ongoing commitment to providing trusted guidance and educational resources to America’s seniors and retirees.
