Trump’s Israel Deal Another Massive Victory for the Peace President

This week, President Donald J. Trump yet again proved his critics wrong and made the impossible happen again. Israel and Hamas have agreed to a sweeping ceasefire and prisoner exchange that will see all remaining hostages returned home and begin the first steps toward ending a brutal two-year war. It’s a monumental breakthrough — one that cements Trump’s legacy as the most effective peace negotiator in modern history.

The deal, announced Wednesday night, represents the first phase of Trump’s 20-point peace plan unveiled in late September. Under its terms, Hamas will release all living hostages within days, while Israel will withdraw its forces from most of Gaza “to an agreed upon line.”

In exchange, Israel will release some 2,000 Palestinian prisoners, including 250 convicted of murder, as part of a broader effort to rebuild trust and reset relations between the two sides. Five border crossings — including Rafah, between Gaza and Egypt — will reopen immediately, allowing hundreds of trucks filled with food, medicine, and reconstruction materials to pour into the devastated territory.

For Israelis, the announcement brought scenes of unfiltered joy. Families of the hostages gathered in Tel Aviv waving American flags, popping champagne, and chanting “Nobel Prize to Trump!” Residents of Gaza likewise took to the streets, celebrating what many hope will mark the end of two years of bloodshed and destruction.

“This is the day we have been waiting for,” said one man in Deir al-Balah. Even Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — not known for handing out compliments lightly — hailed the agreement as “a critical turning point,” crediting “our great friend and ally President Trump” for making it possible.

The mechanics of the deal are pure Trump: bold, unconventional, and unapologetically driven by results. After a week of relentless pressure on both sides, Trump bulldozed through the diplomatic stalemate that had existed since the war began on October 7, 2023. His plan calls for Hamas to eventually disarm in exchange for amnesty and the chance to remain in Gaza or relocate elsewhere.

In the long term, the U.S. will lead an international reconstruction effort, with Arab and Muslim nations providing security inside Gaza and Israel maintaining a defensive perimeter along its border. It’s the same pragmatic formula that guided Trump’s earlier successes – focus on strength first, and peace will follow.

In Jerusalem, families who have waited two long years for word from their loved ones woke up in disbelief. “We cried all morning,” said one woman. “It’s been two years that we are in horror.” In Gaza, where entire neighborhoods have been flattened, there was cautious optimism mixed with grief. “We have lost so much,” said Mohammad Al-Farra. “Despite our happiness, we cannot help but think of what is to come.”

Trump’s comments to hostage families captured the directness that has long defined his approach to foreign policy. “The hostages will come back,” he told them. “They are all coming back on Monday.” True to form, he didn’t hedge or equivocate — he promised results and delivered them.

While the ceasefire still faces procedural hurdles, including approval by Israel’s Security Cabinet and parliament, momentum is squarely on Trump’s side – and the side of peace. The Israeli president, Isaac Herzog, has already endorsed the deal, saying it has his “full support.” And with both Israeli and Hamas officials confirming that the first exchanges could begin within 72 hours of formal approval, the Middle East may finally be on the verge of quiet after years of chaos.

For the Trump administration, this agreement is not an isolated success but part of a much larger pattern. Since returning to office, Trump has revived his first-term doctrine of “peace through strength,” leveraging America’s global influence to end violent conflicts rather than start new ones. In just the past year, his team has brokered or facilitated peace agreements between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Cambodia and Thailand, Israel and Iran, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, India and Pakistan, Egypt and Ethiopia, and Serbia and Kosovo. Each of these deals reflects a return to old-fashioned dealmaking — the kind that prioritizes results over rhetoric and reality over ideology.

Critics, as always, will look for reasons to downplay this accomplishment. They’ll question whether Hamas will truly disarm, or whether Gaza can ever be governed peacefully. They’ll ask whether it’s fair to credit Trump for a deal that required cooperation from so many actors.

But the fact remains that none of this would have happened without him. For years, world leaders talked about peace; Trump delivered it. He has proven once again that decisive leadership, not the failed foreign policy establishment or endless diplomatic niceties, is what moves history forward.

At a time when the world is starved for good news, Trump’s peace deal offers something extraordinary — not just hope, but results. In the streets of Tel Aviv and Gaza alike, the hopeful spirit told the story better than any pundit could.

And for a president who has built his career on doing what everyone else said couldn’t be done, this may be one of his most remarkable achievement yet.

Trump is doing a great job but the one thing that might not be good about this deal or any deal is trusting Hamas, Iran or any of those people. I don’t think that trust or trustworthy is in their nature.

Although this all sounds great, the last part of the article states all the chilling facts. Islam does not have to honor any agreements with “Infidels”. Islamic factions have always rebuilt their losses then strike again when the situation is in their favor. This will be only a temporary solution until terrorist groups attack again either in Israel or the USA. Warfare is not over yet.

This is a great accomplishment for DJT. But these Hamas animals will NOT just turn into weak kittens! They will continue to kill, whether by terrorist attacks, rocket attacks, or some sort of invasion. Chasing the rats out of the house doesn’t guarantee that you are safe from them!

Trump’s efforts are admirable. If the Arab/Muslim countries help keep peace, there may be some success….BUT…Hamas comes under the Muslim Brotherhood umbrella. Their goal is world domination for their intolerant, hate filled, fear based, so called religion, not peace. I suspect they’re just biding their time until they have a major attack ready to go on the U.S. or Israel, or both.

In Christ, we know that the very nature of man is depraved and will never completely stop it’s thirst for power, dominance and control until the transforming power of the Holy Spirit has done His work in individuals. But until then, we should take this as a win and labor to keep both parties faithful to the agreement. Save the negative energy!!

It all looks great, but is it going to last? How many agreements were there in the past only to be broken by followers of Islam. That is the problem, two completely opposite rules of conduct, what can be built on false promises and deceit, not much and not permanently An individual Moslem is perfectly fine, good neighbor, good friend, but Islam as such is poisonous and no one would dare to suggest it needs to be purified. Until that happens not much will change.

Don’t get your hopes up too high. There won’t be permanent peace in that area until the Prince of Peace returns and forces people to live peaceably. At best this will be another pause in the hostilities. You can’t make peace with someone who wishes to kill you.

President Trump is a peacemaker they tried to kill and still are trying to kill.
Every country in the world has praised this first stage of the peace process. Except in America. The democrats are quiet as a mouse. Have not heard one democrat leader say a good word about it. The first words I heard from a democrat, when this news was announced, said, well Trump is always early with predictions that don’t pan out. Really? Well this wasn’t one of them. Aren’t we not getting tired with the democrats and their destruction of the country at every turn, every day? They are not even happy about the hostages coming home. Including the bodies of those that died. Trump can’t negotiate, Trump is not qualified to handle such diplomacy. Yet here we are. Another peace accord started anf results. The rest of the peace deal will happen as well. Let us celebrate the release of the hostages along with their families. And thank President Trump for getting this started and succeeding. May peace and love be with the families that have suffered so much the past 2 years.

This “agreement” will prove to be a huge mistake for Israel, for two reasons. First, how can you make a deal with people who have clearly stated over and over again that the only goal they have is to kill you? Second, what sense does it make to sign an agreement with people who have a long history of NEVER keeping to an agreement?
Israel is going to pay dearly for this huge error.

Hopefully, once the hostages are released, Israel will do what they should have done in the first place. Gaza and the areas under the control of the Palestinian Authority needs to be cleansed.

We should NOT PUT ONE DAMNED PENNY INTO REBUILDING GAZA! WHY? Because they hate us! They want to destroy us! Let the Muslim nations pay for it all! WE HAVE NO DOG IN THAT FIGHT! RELEASING 2000 plus of murdering terrorists is insane. They will rejoin the effort that they left when imprisoned. They are radical and hate ALL INFIDELS, US! We will rebuild back to where they were before and it starts over again in this vicious circle since Islam was created over 1400 years ago. IF YOU KEEP DOING WHAT YOU’RE DOING YOU’LL KEP GETTING WHAT YOU’RE GETTING! Islam will not stop! We must stop Islam!

I hope that Hamas and Hezbollah won’t soon renew missile attacks upon Israel. Hopefully, Iran is smarting so badly from Trump’s June bombing that it will keep a low profile, for awhile, and not fire up Hamas and Hezbollah to renew attacks upon Israel. I am not happy about the fact that the Hamas murderers will go free. They should have been executed for what they did two years ago.

Great news, no doubt! But can we trust the main principals involved? Been killing each other for millennia, remember. Our own “low-info” Gen-Z and younger Millenials have no idea what to think, because no one has told them, yet.

President Trumps heart is in the right place, but history always rears its ugly head, and Hamas is still a Terrorist Organization posing as a government with another Terrorist supporting government Iran still supporting Hamas so how long will this last. Islam want’s Israels land and the Jews erased from existence and this has been their mindset forever. There are 2types of Muslims. There are the Christian Muslims and the Muslims of Islam that are hateful terrorist. Hamas has always been a terrorist organization that started every war with Israel and every time they started getting their assess kicked they agreed to a peace deal only to start the war all over again. The Muslims of Islam have murdered Christian Muslims in Africa and the Middle East and attacked Christians here in the U.S. (9-11) and have terror cells in the United States today and are threatening terrorist attacks across the country and that’s on top of their hate for the Jews and Israel. So please excuse me for being pessimistic over this peace deal because peace is not in the minds or hearts of any of the Islamic Muslim Terrorist. Especially Hamas or Iran.

This effort has been a total waste of time. The President’s time would be better spent solving our radical Left problems. Muslims NEVER SPEAK THE TRUTH AND IT IS PART OF THEIR MUSLIM PARTY VOWS TO ALWAYS LIE TO NON-MUSLIMS. What they say and appear to agree to means NOTHING. The US should have stayed out of the war the Palestinians started 2 years ago. The ONLY end will be when one side wipes the other off the face of the earth.

The Nobel Peace Prize is worthless. They hand them out to every evil creep that gets their attention. They gave one to obama. That tells it all.

I pray that this works for Israel, but trading 2000 over to Hamas for the remaining 20 or so hostages does not seem like a good deal for the future. And this article says that Hamas can remain in Gaza which is a real bad deal for Israel. It is way too early to tell & we need to wait a week & watch what happens.

There will be no lasting peace. This is a stall in a long line of hate-filled attacks. And Trump needs to remember that Carter got a Nobel prize for getting two people killed. That agreement, like this one, was a farce.

Can you please explain what this is supposed to mean?

“We have lost so much,” said Mohammad Al-Farra. “Despite our happiness, we cannot help but think of what is to come.”

it sounds to me that they expect worse outcomes even though they are currently happy? I don’t get it and I hope you can explain and put this into context for me. Thank you.

I would hardly see warmonger Trump as a great peacemaker. Besides the American taxpayer, who is going to pay to replace all the structures destroyed by Israel and bodies permanently damaged by Israel? Most likely, Trump’s deal was done at the command of Israel so that it and its puppet, the US, can focus on Iran.

I wonder what will happen if Hamas violates the agreement? Hamas should not be allowed to exist in Gaza. They are terrorists with one goal: to wipe Israel off the map. Yet the deceived people still claim Israel has attempted to commit genocide.

The attack by Hamas on October 7 did not happen in isolation; it was rooted in decades of Israeli occupation, systemic violence, and the dehumanization of Palestinians. Israel’s continued blockade, settlement expansion, military raids, and disregard for Palestinian rights have created conditions in which such explosive violence becomes inevitable. While targeting civilians is never justified, ignoring the role of Israel’s ongoing oppression in fueling this conflict is both dishonest and dangerous.

Because of Israel’s genocide of the Palestinians, Israel and Donald Trump have lost huge support among Americans, especially young male Republicans. With their supporters abandoning them in large numbers, they both suddenly see the light and are pushing for peace.

So after a couple years and after tens of thousands of women and children are dead from our munitions gifted to the insane murderers in Israel, Trump gets his mad dog Bibi to pretend to go along with a cease fire. The few hostages the Israelis havent blown to bits will be handed over in exchange for hundreds of Palestinians imprisoned because…..well I guess because the Israeli jail guards needed fresh meat to sodomize. Before the final released Palestinian is back at the pile of rubble that was once his home I will bet anything Israel picks out yet another Gaza hospital or school to bomb ending this “big beautiful peace agreement”. Ahhh…..our ‘Peace President”.
