Ever since my time in the White House it has bothered me.
I know politics is a filthy business. As my late father always used to say: “Politics: disgusting but oh so fascinating.” True enough. But politics in the age of Trump is something else.
I was ready for personal attacks against me as Deputy Assistant to the President. Especially since I was early on given the mandate to publicly justify and explain the President’s national-security travel ban. My dismantling of the legacy media narrative that our policy was somehow “racist,” as opposed to predicated on an Obama-era threat assessment concerning which nations were incapable of guaranteeing to us that terrorists weren’t traveling to the US from their territories, was clearly the “trigger” for a smear campaign that shocked even me.
Coming after a high-ranking White House official was, of course, expected. I was clearly a proxy for the man the establishment really hated. Just look at what they did to my Boss and his family and are still doing today. But when “journalists” started to calumny my wife and my high school aged son – calling him a “traitor” in one headline smear piece – even I was shocked. Who are these people, and why do they think a man’s family can be targeted over a difference in politics??
I know I have a certain reputation in the public sphere as a rather serious person. The British press labelled me President Trump’s pit-bull, and when the hosts of The Five were asked what tattoo they would get if they ever did, my former FOX News colleague Jesse Watters picked a portrait of me, since I am “the scariest man on television.” That’s a maybe. However, I am not made of stone, and I still cannot fully internalize the levels of hatred demonstrated by the Democrat Party, the media, and the Washington Establishment. But I have a theory.
I have said for some years now that the dividing line in America is no longer a party political one. In fact, the labels of Republicans and Democrat, or even the broader taxonomy of Conservative versus Liberal, are utterly defunct. There is only one meaningful dividing line that separates one American from another, and it is predicated on love and hate.
Today our nation is split along the answer to one question: “Do you love America, or hate America?” Do you believe this is the greatest and freest nation ever created by man, a “shining city on a hill,” founded on unalienable rights derived from our being made “in the image of our Creator?” Or do you believe, as does the radicalized Democrat Party, that we are an intrinsically bigoted country riven through with neocolonial attitudes and run as a patriarchy where women and minorities are “oppressed?”
For the truth is, we are living in the most perverse of times, with an “elite” that truly hates the nation and the people over which they have power. Why else would our government open our borders, be fine with the more than 100,000 lives annually taken by fentanyl and other drugs trafficked across the border? Or the murder of innocent 22-year old nursing students by illegals released by Democrat prosecutors? How else can you justify giving billions to our sworn enemies and deliberately infecting our armed forces with the sexually perverse and abnormal? In fact: what else would an administration do differently over the last three years if its avowed goal were to destroy America? Think about it.
And then it hit me, thanks in large part to the fascinating interview I just did with the courageous California pastor Jack Hibbs. Why do they so hate President Trump, and why will they use any accusation and any tools against him, his family, and anyone who works for him? The elite hate President Trump so very much because he loves America. Is there anyone alive today who has sacrificed as much as this one man? Simply because he wants America to be “Great Again,” he is facing 700+ years in prison, has been fined half a billion dollars, and banned from doing business in the city he has brought billions of dollars to.
The good news? Hatred only gets you so far. Sooner or later the bile eats you up inside.
We will – eventually – win because our fuel is love. Love of nation, love of family, love of country, but in order to start clawing back our Republic, we need President Trump back in the White House.
Because he actually loves America.

I could not agree more with the article. I tried to tell members of my family and friends, and work associates that if they voted for the marxist democrat party that they would be living in a totally different America before long. I just didn’t realize myself how right I was. It is unimaginable that the amount of damage they have caused by their insane policies has continued to happen and their blame laid squarely on the shoulders of the Republicans who had the country in the best place it had been in years. We cannot stand another 5 years of this. Criminals at the controls of our government. Disgusting and sickening to those of us who love this country. Weaponized DOJ and radical left representatives. The liars abound in office and media. The end is near.
It’s just incomprehensible that some people still stand behind Biden. After you see our country going in the toilet as soon as he takes office and he still has a following. There’s no comparison between Biden and Trump. President Trump has been the best president since Ronald Reagan, maybe even better for our country. I think God is confusing the whole world because everyone seems blinded to what is going on.
Totally agree with this article. Love the saying “fueled by love.” We are in a spiritual battle and we need to PRAY, PRAY, PRAY, and VOTE! God hears our prayers and He will move in accordance to His Word. I would love to see every scheme, every lie, every corruption, and every attempt to steal yet another election would come to naught….and President Trump would be elected to give America time to “reset.” The right way. God have mercy on us all. Our God reigns!
President Trump’s unabashed love for this country, its citizens, its work ethic, and it struggle to become “a more perfect union” makes liberals look bad. They come across as whining imbeciles who want to take as much from the government as they can. And, of course, in the end, that hurts all of us as we fork over increasingly larger amounts of our income. Lose your income = lose your freedoms.
In this world, there are givers and there are takers. Which category do you think socialist democrats fall into? Many don’t even realize those funds come from us; they think the government can just print money and hand it out to the beggars. Well, in this administration, that’s not too far from the truth.

Why else would they fly 320,000 illegals into this country? … 10 years ago … that would have been political suicide not to mention grounds for arrest. Good article Mr. Gorka. Many years ago an American radio broadcaster named Paul Harvey broadcast a piece on one of his daily broadcasts titled “If I Were The Devil”. In it he speculates what the devil would do if he wanted to destroy America. It is still available on the internet and I encourage the readers to look it up and give it a listen. I was listening the day he originally broadcast the piece.

I agree with you 100% Mr Gorka. The hatred that has come from the left for the past 16 years. Yes it started with O. Intensified when Trump won in 2016 and really escalated on Jan 6 when the dems plotted to get rid of Trump that day. They orchestrated everything that day. I wish someone would investigate that one day. Then investigate deep state and O. Just as intensely as they have Trump. Satan is at work in the White House and in the DNC. That is why they hate the idea of Trump back in the White House. Because he is president of all the people, believes in religion, believes in helping the citizens of this country first. A strong military not a drag Queen fighting force. A country where strangers can exchange ideas without being put in a box for his or her believe or opinion. I saw all this coming in the 2020 election and I kept hoping I was wrong. It is even worse than I had imagined. Let us hope that the American people think about this rationally and vote for keeping our America a Republic like our founding fathers intended. Great article. When he first got into politics President trump said that did not have to go into politics because he was rich. But he saw what was happening to our country and he did it to save it. He is a true American!!!

Dr Gorka, You have, as they say “hit the nail on the head”. I use to wonder how so many otherwise smart people could vote democratic when everything they are doing is destroying our once great country. It occurred to me a few years back that most of them just HATE AMERICA! I don’t know if I will ever understand why they do, but they despise the USA. I just wish, if this such a terrible country that they would all leave here and go to somewhere and start there own “perfect world,” which in short order they would also destroy.
Though legally a waste of a vote, I voted for Ross Perot when he first ran, as a third party candidate .. seeing the possibility may exist where a wealthy business man (for whom the laws of America had shown some favor) might be the better leader of this country. Donald Trump was this and more … and my vote wouldn’t be a wasted one, not a third party vote. His public gaffes (comments that probably would have been best not said aloud, or repeated) … showed, he was like the rest of us … flawed humans.
He was even adored by the elite … until he decided to run for President, and since then he has been repeatedly attacked. I compare him with Superman … and ‘politicians’ and the elite, keeping throwing emeralds at him, thinking it is kryptonite … and emeralds make him stronger.
His real strength is that he is real … one of us, who just so happens to be wealthy. Unlike politicians, lawyers and other crooks who merely want to line their pockets … they are about them. Donald is about us. He is not perfect … evidenced by caving to the bump stock, and getting criminal Fauci involved in the covid farce … but who on this planet is perfect?

Here’s proof: Article III Section 3 Paragraph 1 of the Constitution states: anyone who gives comfort and aid the the enemy is guilty of treason. There are only two simple questions to answer: 1. Do you wish to live under a tyrannical, statist ideology in which you serve only the state as a subject of that tyranny? 2. I switched to Republican specifically to cast my vote for Trump. I supported him then. I will do it again.

President Trump proved that President Obama was lying to all of us about “Globalization” having caused us economic harm. As you all may recall, once President Trump ended some of those Obama policies, the cause of the previous damage was obvious. That infuriated the Democrats, and motivated them to target President Trump like no other…. legally, illegally… it didn’t matter to them.

Growing up I had a friend of German decent. They were good people that immigrated to America in the early 1900s. They had not bought into Hitler’s views. I couldn’t understand how the people of Germany to buy into the mass killing of jews. Now I understand the power of propaganda. Most of the career politicians in my opinion live as though they will live forever on this earth.Many of them are well passed normal retirement age. Term limits are a must to get new perspective rather than someone being locked into a position of power for a lifetime. I’m not suggesting that older is not wiser or anything to do with age in general. They just need to spend less time in a position that they become complacent with one another and do things just to benefit themselves and not the people of this great country.
Until the fentanyl and the murders committed by the Illegal Border Crossings hits home to a Democrat in DC or a Democrat Governor or Mayor, there will be no outcry. But a criminal takes the life of a child of a family or a Police Officer and the Democrats say the criminal should be released from custody because he was misunderstood or had a bad childhood. Trump was hated the minute he announced his run for the White House and the biggest reason was that he was not a “Good Old Boy Democrat” and that made them blinded by rage against him. Great article, summed quite well explaining the danger America faces. My father served as the clerk treasurer, from 1944-68 in the town where I grew up, he saw it become political and he didn’t run again. He was one of five men who tried to keep the town moving forward, and outsiders came in!

Like all those that already commented I too agree with the article. The only thing I have a conflict with is the statement do you love or hate this country. Thanks to the politics of the past 3 plus years I don’t really like or have any faith in this country. joe and all the demokrats in this country have really destroyed it. I am also scared that the demokrats will pull the same thing they did on 2020 and Mr Trump will not get to be our president again. I may not like this country but I will defend her with my life. The one thing I took away from this article is he loves Trump and knows President Trump loves America. I base my opinion on if you love or hate President Trump. If you agree with his policies, than you are pro-America, if not, Hell is getting a room ready for you.

Very well said , also these politicians ,especially the career politicians ,are getting greased by all these special interest groups,Trump calls them out and that hurts their pocketbook . Most could never make it in the corporate world, that’s why they went into politics .There should be a rule that you have to make it in the private sector for at least 10 years, prove yourself as a success before entering politics . It’s so hard to get an incumvent out . The money is so good ,and easy , that is why most try to get elected . IMO

Thank you, Dr. Gorka,for ending on a positive note. There is, indeed, a lot of animosity within the political class. But in the real world, not so much. I know many liberals with whom I would disagree on issues, but we don’t talk about them. They are otherwise caring, responsible people.

I just saw an interview with a female psychiatrist who was fired from Yale after she and other psychiatrists publicly stated that Pres. Trump is a “ danger to our nation.” She is now saying that it is worse because Pres. Trump has created a mental illness in all these MAGA people who support him. Wow! Where does this all end? She sat there, calmly, stating that WE are not mentally well. If anything has made me ‘ not mentally well’ it is the constant, daily chaos, lies, craziness coming from Biden and his cabal. The Lefty Commies are the ones who do not live in reality with sound thinking.
I have always believed that the ugly side hates Trump because he knows them, he know who they are, he knows what their goals are and mostly, he knows their past, he knows what corrupt adventures they are and/or have been engaged in. They fear being exposed by him because he has the “goods on them” That is why they hate him. Mr. Gorka – were you really shocked when the dems came after your family, including your son? If so, you do not understand the nature of the enemy. Dems have no ethical standard or moral core. Anything is acceptable to dems, including, and not limited to, the murder of children. All the “mass shootings” in the US are committed by democrats. Euthanasia is acceptable to democrats. Life has no meaning to them, as long as they gain control over the populace.
You are correct in the assessment of the two political parties. The real division in the this country is between the political class and the citizenry. To the political class, the citizenry is cannon fodder to be used for their experimentation in power and control. All are deemed expendable. Which is why their greatest fear is and armed citizenry, and their first goal is to keep the citizenry divided. If they unite, the power and control of the political class will end quickly.
I’m old enough to remember President Eisenhower. He was a wise and honest man, the likes of which we seldom see. No one since has come close, except maybe Reagan. Of course they made mistakes, everyone does, but they governed from a position of caring, not malice.
