AMAC Exclusive – By David P. Deavel

election

The red wave that many of us (this writer included) anticipated with glee arrived with all the force of a leaky squirt pistol. As I write, it looks as though the Democrats might keep their thin majority in the Senate while the Republicans are likely to get a thin majority in the House. Disappointing? Certainly. Infuriating? Absolutely. Cause for despair? Not in the least. It is, however a cause for some serious thinking and rethinking about how we go about the political task of getting this country back on track.

Indeed, the postmortem blame game has begun on our side of the aisle. And there is plenty to go around. Did Donald Trump’s unconventional candidates have something to do with it in certain races? Most likely, though the attempt to pin this all on him seems a bit too convenient for the GOP establishment. After all, establishment GOP candidates such as Joe O’Dea in Colorado did no better (and in some cases worse) than the MAGA figures. And apart from some of the House GOP offering the outline of a positive agenda, the establishment offered little in the way of a forward-looking program. “Republicans just said, ‘Well, the other side sucks, and Biden sucks,’” Missouri Senator Josh Hawley observed. “Well, no doubt! But it’s pretty hard to convince folks, particularly independent-minded ones who don’t tend to trust the process much, to vote for you, if you don’t have something affirmative to say and offer.”

Too often the positive agenda had less to do with the American people and more to do with making sure what Hawley calls “Washington Republicanism” stayed that way. Even if he didn’t like the Trumpier candidates, Mitch McConnell’s messing about with the elections in Alaska while pulling funding from a close Senate race in Arizona is emblematic of the problems of the Republican leadership class. Too many of them seem unable to see that however they judge Trump, much of what he stands for is the way of the present and future for their party. With McConnell, it meant contributing to the losses. There’s a reason why a number of Senators and Representatives have pressed the brakes on the election of leaders for the next Congress.

These hard conversations have to happen. So too the conversations about what Republicans are going to do about making sure elections are run fairly and squarely. Surely one big reason Florida actually saw a red wave last week had to do with the fact that after the hanging chad fiasco of 2000, there has been a steady improvement in the voting process all the way into this year. The Sunshine State counted their votes in hours. Arizona, where machines broke down only in red enclaves in Maricopa County, is now predicted to announce final results simultaneously with the Last Judgment. Meanwhile, blue outposts in red states such as Harris County (Houston), Texas, experienced the same dodgy chaos on voting day. Noteworthy is that the places with the most election day chaos had been sent federal “election monitors,” while Florida rejected them.

We also have to talk about early and mail-in voting. While I wish we had one election day in which people had to vote in person absent very specific circumstances, that’s not where we are. As Salena Zito argues concerning the new way of voting early and by mail, “Republicans need to step up and get their voters to do the same — otherwise, they will find themselves on the end of big elections going forward.”

There is really no need to despair. These are important things to figure out, but if we get going now, many of them can be fixed or at least improved by the time the next big election comes around in 2024. And though we didn’t win big, we were not shellacked. As noted, it’s likely that Republicans will have the House. That will put the brakes on the insanity that can be passed on to Joe Biden to sign between his ice cream cones and naps.

And though the final results were not what we would have hoped, Republicans likely had 5-6 million more votes total than did Democrats in House races. As Joel Kotkin argues, their “mild victory” this time likely “means that the Democrats will be slower to address their weaknesses, and may be forced to accept the unpopular Joe Biden as their leader in 2024.” Given Joe Biden’s response to a press conference question this week about what he will do differently over the next two years given the majority of Americans saying we’re on the wrong track—“Nothing, because they’re just finding out what we’re doing”—Kotkin looks to be correct.

Some conservatives have lamented that it doesn’t really matter because so much of our population seems to be ideologically committed to craziness. “So much,” Stephen Kruiser wrote at PJ Media on the morning after election day, “for the Red Wave, freedom, and hopes that the United States of America would continue to exist past next Arbor Day…We’re done here, kids.” To be fair, Kruiser closed his column by saying Americans still have a “fighting chance,” but I have many friends who don’t end their comments with such hope. They simply assert that our march to the left is inexorable. That the Republic is over. That the laptop class will forever hide their eyes from the consequences that their votes cause. That the Millennials and Gen-Z voters who came out in such large numbers for the Democrats this time are locked into their leftism and, in Kruiser’s words, are “socialist lemmings” who will make sure we make it over the cliff’s edge. That our base will never grow. That we are doomed.

Let’s concede that things aren’t guaranteed to work out just because we’re Americans. But Americans should also not concede that they are guaranteed to fail either.

While many parents and denizens of the blue states in extreme dysfunction have discovered what Joe Biden and the Democrats were doing by feeling its effects, there is nevertheless a portion of the laptop class that has managed to avoid the most serious problems caused by Biden’s policies and thus thinks them no big deal. But two more years of the same will blow through that insulation and expose the fact that the grip of left-wing ideology on their hearts and minds is a lot less tight when the social prestige for being “progressive” ceases to outweigh the misery caused by their regressive policies.

The same goes for the younger generations. As a Gen Xer, I have long thought my own age group was permanently lost in a haze of grunge rock and leftist politics, but now Gen X is as conservative as the 65-plus category. There is a great deal of work to do to see that more Millennials and Gen Z attain sanity and rediscover the foundational goods of religion, marriage, patriotism, and work. But we cannot write them off either. We might discover that, as quickly as Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan is being scrapped, so quickly will that supermajority of under-thirty Democratic voters shrink.

And as for the base that will never grow, the exit polls on voting showed that although Democrats retained majorities for many of their traditional blocs, Republicans gained about 4% more black voters, 10% more Hispanic voters, and 17% more Asian voters (“significant ground”) since 2018. Republicans have made progress this time on these and other groups, if not as much as was hoped. That demographic shifts mean a permanent Democratic majority looks more and more dubious. Especially given the fact that efforts to get many of these groups only got going in earnest in the last couple of election cycles.

Republicans can be disappointed in our results. What they cannot do is give up as lost what is definitely not lost. There are no permanently lost causes in politics because there are no causes that are permanently won. While we may have presumed too much this time, we must not despair. Instead, let us get back to work, acting soberly, diligently, and with hope.

It doesn’t matter how we get out the votes as much as who counts them. If counting takes more than 24 hours, Democrats win. ????

Democrats cheated plain and simple. We just have to figure out how. Extra boxes of votes as the vote counting goes on and on.

This was in NO way Trump’s fault! Look at all the candidates he endorsed, only a small percentage lost their races. The fault (not including the propaganda press) falls squarely on the establishment RINO Republicans. They didn’t put money where they should have to win the key races. We MUST eliminate them and their country club mentality if we want to Make America Great Again and stop the Communist agenda. And without stating the obvious, why are we still counting ballers? In all my life we knew the winner’s of races the night of election DAY, not days/weeks later!!!

Here’s my take on the little red trickle. Before I begin, let me say that I voted for Donald Trump twice and supported his policies, and still do. But since the mid-term elections, I’ve changed my mind on whether I would support his candidacy in 2024. Many readers here will vehemently disagree, but this is that difficult conversation all Republicans must have.

Consider:

Whether or not Trump was a factor in getting R’s elected to office, it goes without saying that they could have won their races without his influence. People in this country tend to vote along party lines and rarely jump the fence. The independents decide the outcome and are the voters we should be courting. Winning over disgruntled D’s is always good, but it starts with offering them a better, more stable, future than biden can.

As hysterical as the “Squad” is, the 4 witches were re-elected, and 4 new Squad members will help them stir the cauldron. No one wants what’s brewing there. A proper conservative narrative and conscientious media (now, there’s an oxymoron for you) would put a stop to their nonsense. But they have been running around Washington unchallenged. It will take lawsuits against the media and a strongly orchestrated and frequently repeated R platform to properly inform the voters. We need rational sustainability, not quick fixes that cost the taxpayers more money. For example, new climate change legislation in the works will cost every man, woman, and child in this country over $1,200 each.

Biden has been the worst president this country has ever had, and yet, many dems were re-elected or elected to office. Granted, lots of races had hair-thin margins, and those Republicans will probably run again in the future. Some will win. Nevertheless, the pallid Commitment to America didn’t convince enough voters, or anyone. McCarthy and McConnell should not continue in leadership positions. They didn’t help. Ask your congressmen to support someone else, such as the Freedom Caucus and proven conservatives.

Ron DeSantis has emerged as the winner in Florda by an overwhelming margin. Other offices turned red, and the state is now decidedly red and no longer purple. It’s no wonder: DeSantis did a great job governing his state and managed to count the votes much faster than states that didn’t suffer the devastation from 2 recent hurricanes. He got the bridge to Sanibel Island rebuilt within weeks and not years. He knows how to run a large state like Florida.

40-something DeSantis won almost half of the under-30 votes and about 40% of the Hispanic vote. R’s traditionally don’t garner those kinds of numbers–at least, not in recent contests. That tells me that, if he ran for the presidential nomination in 2024, he could win that and the general election, perhaps handily, if he’ll be running against biden. I doubt if he would badmouth his opponents but would voice the facts instead. For Trump to call him “DeSanctimonious” is appallingly immature.

But Trump didn’t stop there. He’s already attacking other possible competitors for the next presidential election cycle when he could easily run on a very successful record of his own. Instead of knocking down fellow R’s, Trump can put his time and money to better use by talking up the conservative platform. All this bickering and childish behavior are not a good look for the GOP, and it turns off many voters.

Concluding, consider that the coming 2 years offer us a great opportunity to show this country what we can do, and how ridiculous, effete, and harmful the current administration is on so many fronts. This should be an easy win for level-headed R’s and we won’t have this chance again. I would rather not take another chance with Trump and I’ll bet on DeSantis to win the presidency. I simply don’t want to risk losing another 4 years. I never thought I’d have said this, but there you have it.

What the author writes about today, whether he realizes it or not, is essentially representative of the Overton Window effect that Democrats have been employing for decades to gradually move what is considered reasonable and then becomes widely acceptable over time. To redefine what is considered normal in numerous aspects of modern society, based on a gradual but constant shifting to the left of what is deemed standard and thus completely acceptable.

To give you an example, the wide spread use of mass mail-in ballots, with minimal or, in some cases, no real verification standards would have been deemed completely unaccptable 20 or 30 years ago. So would ballot harvesting or extended early voting. Elections were expected to be conducted by the vast majority of Americans on a uniform election day all across the country and the results of those elections were expected to be known in 99.9 percent of all state and federal elections the same night. The vast majority of the people understood the inherent ease by which elections held in such a manner would be open to numerous forms of manipulations and potential fraud. We even had a bi-partisan panel document all the pitfalls of mass mail-in balloting, ballot harvesting and extended voting and they documented the flaws.

Then the “crisis” of Covid-19 presented the left (never let a good crisis go to waste) with a perfect opportunity to justify “emergency voting measures” to quickly ram through wholesale changes that essentially “transformed” the nation’s method of conducting election voting. The result was the completely implausible outcome of the Presidental election of 2020 and the 2021Georgia run-off election results. For the most part, those “emergency voting measures” are still in place today in most states around the country and, for the most part, are now considered the acceptable standard by which we hold elections. The Overton Window effect. Amazingly, we now see essentially very similar outcomes in a number of the 2022 midterms results. Granted there were some additional “nudges” that were added this election cycle by the likes of Mitch McConnell, McCarthy, Karl Rove, the Murdocks, the RNC and others, but the overwhelming major cause of a lot of the long, drawn out delays and hard to believe voting results is due primarily to the mass mail-in voting and extended voting periods that have now become the accepted norm.

Given there is little interest in the establishment GOP for a return to what used to be election day rules, with an eliminiation of all the “emergency voting measures” that have now been accepted as standard and acceptable, we will see similar outcomes in 2024 and beyond. Again, the Overton Window effect. The voting system is simply now geared to produce the outcomes we have now seen 3 times in a row for the truly important national races. All of which was well documented by the 2005 bi-partisan Barter-Baker report years and years ago.

Was thinking about the recent election. We saw near record turnout of young voters, and they leaned heavily Democrat. They did so, for one reason. The Democrats refuse to hold anyone accountable. Engage in promiscuity as nd become pregnant, no worries. We’ll help you kill your child. Jump the border, seeking a better life. No worries, we’ll bend the rules to permit you to stay. Sign a loan for college. No worries, we’ll use other people’s money to absolve you of the debt. Too lazy to go to the polls and vote. No worries, we’ll mail you a couple ballots. As the saying goes, easy times create soft men. Hard times create hard men. And this, is a generation of tissue soft children.

All I can say is that the Republicans better come through this time and keep their promises to the people!! My feelings are issues will stay the same, business as usual with the Senate stagnating anything done by the house. Corruption, crime will continue throughout Congress and government where no one is held accountable for their actions or a do nothing Congress. I pray for Jesus Christ’s pre-emptive return before this nation destroys itself!!

I have to agree with J Hawley, I believe Republican leadership failed. Your the leader of the Republicans in the Senate and you don’t support your candidates because why? The good thing about this election if you want to pull something from it is …there are some good fresh new candidates in the house and Senate that won! We need a need type of Fresh blood and yes Trump did help with that whether people want to admit it or not. Also places like NY candidates one you never thought would. Yes if we have a chance moving forward some things have to change. Thank you for the article.

It has become quite obvious now. Their going to hold the entire country hostage until they get their way, which is of course to rule with an iron fist. I simply can not live in a country among democrats any longer. There are far to many of them to complete the preferred method of extinction. The country must be split. If you want to be ruled by democrats in every aspect of your life and live in poverty you go live with them. If you want freedom you go live with the Republicans and try to clean out the CFR/WEF one world government supporters, and there are a lot of them. The problem with this solution is having our enemies right on our border. Supporters of communist China/Russia and radical Muslim Iran. So they will still probably need to be wiped out but at least if their all together separate from the rest of us it will be possible. I know for many war is not their preferred solution but when your dealing with a lying, cheating, satanic possessed society it may be the only solution.

I still find it hard to believe that half of the voting public likes higher prices for everything, wealth redistribution, more taxes and armed IRS Agents, politically weaponized Stasi FBI, censorship, dismantlement of the Constitution and basic freedoms, villianization of patriotism and morality, sexualization and Marxist indoctrination of children, abortion as birth control and indulgence in a world where you can defy reality and create an alternate identity within your own fantasies, (and expect everyone else to accept it). As the author pointed out, (aptly identified by PaulE as the Overton Window effect), is definitely in play here, but I believe that widespread acceptance of a new set of norms is a well engineered illusion, orchestrated by the “deep state” through the media tools that they own. We have seen that the lemming factor will follow the perceived social trends, (actually more like Socialist trends), thinking they are liberating the oppressed, like those poor voters who had a better than ever turnout under so called Jim Crow 2.0 Republican election policies. Decades of systemic Marxist indoctrination over education from Kindergarten to College have been effective in teaching what to think rather than how to think while the media reinforces the effort. While the biggest election deniers have historically been Dems, (prior to 2020), we are chastised for doubting the integrity of elections where ballots are mailed to everyone, dead or alive, citizen or not, (states that issue a driver’s license to non citizens also have a nasty habit of erroneously registering them to vote…oops do we do that?), do we accept it? More like did we have a choice? NO! I live in rural Northern Nevada. Do I feel represented when my Congressional district includes part of blue Clark County 300 miles south of me? Hell NO! Does that districting feel like gerrymandering, Hell YES! What we did gain in Nevada is a Conservative Republican Governor, Sheriff Joe Lombardo. Even Dems did not like the largest sources of revenue for the state, (Casinos), being shut down for so long by Sisolak. This is a great start! If we can return to in person voting, (with ID required) and absentee ballots by request only, require verification of citizenship before blindly registering people at DMV there can be some hope for the future. Until 2024, conservatives in my district will continue to have no representation in the United States Congress or Senate, although as a country, we still don’t know which party will control Congress five days after the election. Mark Amodei is the only conservative voice Nevada has in Washington, (representing all counties north of mine) and I think we can count on him for some help there. It’s going to a challenge to flip a U-turn when traveling 100 mph in the wrong direction, but it’s time to start planning how to get it done without a massive wreck in the process!

Please note!!! Our government is not corrupt,it is the people sent to represent us that get corrupt. A man in Washington once said”It’s hard to resist a brief case of money in a closet when all you have to do is take it home “. Honor can’t be bought once lost. My point!!! Election blues are here and I’m really glad people like PaulE and Kim can see what has happened and decode this election for people like me. It’s time to pull up our pants, tighten our belts and consider where the “red wave went blue. We have two years to to sharpen our sabres and prepare for the charge in “24”. We now know what doesn’t work and thank God for some victory in the house. The Biden future plans can only get worse with buying votes with green checks.Opportunity is knocking is anyone listening???IMO

There are a lot of reasons why we didn’t get the red wave. For one, the Republicans didn’t have much of a plan for what they were going to do to offset the left’s radical policies. And Donald Trump was not on the ballot. But even the mention of his name seems to turn people off. Whether you liked him personally or not, his policies were working big time, until Joe Biden shut them down with his tyrannical pen. The Democrats have so severely damaged this country, it’s going to take some major moves by the Republicans to undue what the radical left has done. And how much more will it take to convince the American people that the problem mostly stems from the Democrats and not Donald Trump and the so-called MAGA Republicans.

Oregon ALMOST elected a Republican Governor this election..our state is a mess of liberal policies but the rural residents keep getting outvoted by Salem and Portland. The first thing the governor-elect said was she wanted to work for all Oregonians, then went on to state her priorities of inclusion, homelessness, etc. NO mention of the economy, sanctuary state failures, which allow drugs to help people become homeless. Its almost enough to want to move to Idaho! We are stuck with the same Dem senators and house members over and over. One of them actually ran an ad blaming the oil companies for high gas price gouging..the same senator that told them to stop drilling for oil to make said gasoline! He also ran an ad to work on the fires that keep happening, after 30 plus years of supporting the environmentalists who said no logging. And people guy this. Oregon has waaayyy too many liberal lemmings, but THEY turned out to vote and some Republicans didn’t. I was afraid after all that bragging about a red wave, that would happen. Our state also just passed the most strict gun control measure in the USA..with NO FUNDING. So, after January, no one will be able to even buy a gun in Oregon because no way to meet all the requirements of classes, full background checks and full fingerprints. This state is turning into California, just ask all the Californians that have moved here in the past two decades, but keep voting the same way. Before you bash me, I moved from there too, but I am a conservative who actually reads what I vote on. I have neighbors who do not. Oregon is moving downhill FAST.

Ladies and Gentlemen, some of the wounds are deep and might need a stich here and there, but we, most pickup ourselves up and not waste any more time lamenting about the failures of the people who dropped the ball and get to work to resolve what went wrong and not let them drive the bus as we head to 2024.
Everybody needs to share in the blame, McConnell spend the dollars he was responsible for supporting a RINO in Alaska when he worked against a true Conservative, Alaska’s chosen nominee, as for McCarthy, I don’t know what he did besides giving us all lip service. Ronna Mcdaniels, failed by not doing one thing to counter act the lies by the Democrats and the Washed up Left leaning News Media, she was great at asking for money people don’t have.
While I have suported President Donald Trump, he as well mettled in election and in some cases his choice was not the stronger Candidate, and my advice to him is cool your jets, there is a lot of time for you and all others who wish to run. I want to see what all who wish to run have to say, and we have some good one Gov. Ron Desantis, Gov. Kristi Noem, Gov. Youngkin, Sen. Josh Hawley and many more while the Dims have Biden and his possible new running mate Fetterman, that’s a no brainer.
President Trump served the party, the country, very well and for that I will be forever grateful, but I am now starting to feel he will bring a scorched Erath approach to trying to regain the office of the President. I learned long ago that you never build respect for yourself by tearing others down. It’s like Trump wants to build a building, but there is one down the street just like the one he wants to build so first he buy’s the old building and tears it down so his new one is the only one standing.
We must be methodical and resolute in your march to 2024 without being cannibalistic by eating our own, as the prize is removing Biden and the Democrats from power.

Time to spin this utter failure by the GOP so it appears a bit rosier than it actually was. Given the complete disaster the Democrats have been in the last several years, this should have been a complete butt kicking. Alas, it was not. What is this showing attributable to? How about a plethora of reasons, starting with the wasting away of our nation’s morals and values.

Happy Monday Everyone…
Not to be a Davie Downer, BUT, if find absolutely NO silver lining in another election that was apparently rife with fraud, irregularities and downright theft. Why, for example, was the Lockdown Queen not defeated in Michigan?? Could it be those mysteries deliveries of bulk votes in Detroit after the polls closed??
What about PA, AZ, NV and others? it is obvious that ballots are being manufactured, so that the Ds will have just enough votes to win. I will not believe any of these results UNTIL a complete forensic audit-not just a recount-of all the ballots and the machines take place. It is really dumb for the state to not be allowed to take a look at the programming codes for the voting machines, yet some states agreed to contracts that limit their ability to verify the machine programming.
As a veteran, I know I did not serve so that unprincipled people, aided and abetted by others can steal and manipulate elections. Too many people have died to protect the right to vote.
So, unless people in the effected states band together and demand that state legislatures overhaul voting laws, the steals will continue. I will not mention how disappointed I am in all the institutions that were supposed to protect We the People from what is going on. Like the courts, the Supreme Court, the RNC, the Rs etc. all have a complicity in not challenging what is going on.

The bottomline is that it appears as though a lot of people think anything even closely resembling MAGA means a turn to actual fascism. Are they insane? Yes. But, that doesn’t change the fact that Trump has become a liability. His unwillingness to ever give in and his blatant attacks on DeSantis portray him as the egomaniac that he is. The other thing is that too many Americans actually believe that abortion has been outlawed entirely. This misconception brought out the extreme lefties and many people in the middle. Why? Because the republicans didn’t do enough to bring down the panic level concerning abortion. Republicans had certain candidates that said they are against any and all abortions, even in the case of rape. Really? Talk about alienating voters. We can’t be too extreme on one side or the other, it is polarizing and it hurt the middle of the road women’s vote. In AZ, I love Kari Lake but she came across as a female Trump and that is what is costing her in that election. Lake should have won that election easily but instead it looks like she will lose by an extremely thin margin. There were female voters that came out only because they felt Lake wanted to change elections so that no one else could ever win once Lake was in power. Of course, this was not true but this is what the left felt and women that were interviewed on tv said. Republicans have to come across more middle of the road and be willing to bend a bit. This hard stance is hurting the right in many different ways. People are voting for higher taxes, nigher crime rates, open borders, less freedoms, etc., simply because they think republicans want to be tyrants. Let that sink in.

What if there has been hanky panky with relations with China for years? What if a single apparently clueless individual has been in Congress for years? What if that person is now the president and who put him there? What if big corporations and this individual have been involved in foreign profit for years? What if a lot of what used to be illegal was excused to the point of encouragement of all matter of crime? What if all bail for all offenders is reduced or non-existent? What if jumping into unsound fiscal policies have been thoughtlessly bullied through? What if there are more liars in our political system than those who tell the truth? What if parents have been intended for replacement by governmental controls? What if a member of Congress, can blatantly lie and get away with it? How many have and for how long? What if every elitist within government chambers had to take a lie detector test? How many would pass? And, where did this all begin? It began with greed, lies, and theatrical power plays has it not?

We have forgotten God and unless the nation as a whole does some deep repenting we are going away just like some great nations in the past. See Leviticus 26.

Some good comments below. I agree with mr deavels friends. The socialist lemmings are going to dominate for quite some time. There’s no way around that. That alone is a death sentence because the country will be venezuela long before they mature as gen x did. I can think of only one good thing to say: consider moving to florida or another red state thats not turning blue like michigan. Other than that its good night irene.

With the gains reported by the republicans, then how come all the close races seem to go liberal? Every recount shows even more democrat voters, so they keep recounting until they win. Statistically very unlikely that the majority go blue. Reports of TRUCK loads of ballots arriving AFTER the close of counting, that are then counted. Very iffy, our elections have been rigged for many decades, and just got more blatent.

At the very least, we NEED a complete purge of ALL RINO Leadership from the Republican Party. Otherwise, I hold out no hope of the Republican Party Leadership to LEAD, CLEANSE or PURGE ALL NON-CONSERVATIVES from Leadership positions. I still think we form a COMPLETELY CONSERVATIVE PARTY void of Rinos who will then show their true colors by supporting the Communist Democrats. Which they basically do now anyway! I believe a new, independent Conservative Party will attract the Libertarians and more independents to more than replace the Rinos. If we’re going to lose I would rather it not be from within from Rinos!

No more money from me until we ditch Mitch……we send them money and then the RNC fails to support the conservative republicans (poor Kari) because they want to punish the Trump republicans for us daring to step out of line. The RNC is led by a RINO republicans who fight over the money we send them for their wages. Ditch Mitch before I ever send another dime to the RNC…….Are you looking at this chat board RNC—-probably not you don’t wanna know what true conservatives have to say…….just send us money right?. Well no more- ditch Mitch.

I do not understand why we cannot change the mail-in voting by making some strong rules. After all, the mail-in excuse was the Covid pandemic which is now over There is no reason for mailing in ballots OR collecting them from others to deposit as in ballot harvesting now. Mail-ins and ballot harvesting are open as wide as the Grand Canyon to fraud and cheating and it seems one party has that down to a science. 1. Mail-in ballots must be restricted to a defined time-line such as 2 weeks before Election Day — NOT longer and be received by Election Day. 2, NO ballot harvesting unless a family member brings a ballot in sealed envelope to the drop box because the relative is infirm or too sick to appear in person. 3. Voting I.D. is a definite requirement…no I.D., no vote. A vote requires a responsible person and if one cannot know enough to get a voting ID., I’d guess that person isn’t smart enough to vote. Why must Republicans accept and go along with the dictates of the Democrat Party? Why, now that Covid isn’t the issue, do we still abide by pandemic rules? (Answer: because they favor Democrats)…SO we need to revise the rules for an even playing field, or at least as even as we can make it. No apologies. Grow a backbone Republican leaders. Time to fight, not just respond.

Let’s avoid a circular firing squad, but there must be accountability for actions: ie. Sen Graham’s bill on abortion which had zero chance of success because Biden would never sign it and it lost the Republicans ability to cite State actions on the issue. Trumps selection of Dr. Oz over a Pennsylvania candidate. The RNC for not following an aggressive legal battle in each state to protect the election fraud. If people want to vote absentee, require ballot to be returned one week before the election. Ban ballot harvesting, no mail in ballots. No electronic voting. Paper ballots. Another issue on accountability. Ignore polls and demand policy positions by candidates.

Looking at exit polls, I think the Republicans missed the importance of abortion & gun control to voters and especially ones under 40-years old. Inflation was the number one for Republicans in most races.

Kari Lake is not helping the Republican cause by bashing Arizona elections today on FOX news with Watters. Before election, she said she would not accept results & Trump loves people like that. The good news if she loses election, she cannot refuse to leave office as has never been elected to this office. My opinion, election deniers hurt Republicans in mid-term elections.

No lost causes? Seriously? If you haven’t noticed the mandated “narrative” has removed Trump from any hope for the RNC nod in 2024……and if the mans ego forces him to run on a third party ticket……we will experience a nation destroying new Woodrow Wilson….perhaps a total retard like Fetterman, Wilson was worse?
The narrative is now mandatory to follow. Resist and………well, say hello to Kanye.
Trump is gone and with him the MAGA movement.
No lost causes………idiotic notion.

This is a lesson for the Republicans lets see what happens with the House they take things to lightly if they win the House actions speak louder then words if they make a difference for voters they will come out ahead if they do nothing they will never be trusted again.

You certainly aren’t including Michigan in your statement. Democrat governor, attorney general and secretary of state re-elected and props 2 and 3 legalizing abortion and a guarantee that we will never have another fair election in Michigan. Make no mistake, this is one party rule forever here now. Democrats even seized control of the legislature here.
