President Trump

President Trump has proposed a $1.776 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund” as part of a settlement resolving President Trump’s lawsuit against the IRS over the leak of his tax returns. The fund would be used to compensate individuals who had the government weaponized against them. However, congressional Democrats and some Republicans oppose the fund.

Which response closest matches your opinion on the anti-weaponization fund?

I do stand behind the fun but it should come from the people who committed the weaponization not tax dollars. The people who perpetrated this weaponization of government should be prosecuted and they should be paying out of their own pocket. We need to keep accountability in this country or we will fail. If there is no discipline for doing wrong then they will just keep doing it.

I don’t like punishing taxpayers. The individuals who are guilty should be the ones that have to pay. The same thing happens when companies are sued. The ones who made the decisions get a golden parachute and the stock holders, customers, and employees end up paying.

In America, we do not expect or approve of our own government targeting us and destroying lives. Money is the only thing some politicians care about so repaying some court costs, lost income, ruined careers, is the least we can do.

Given how Nancy fixed the composition of the Committee, and how the left destroyed the documents, the fund should compensate all J6ers. Some portion should be used to sue the lefties involved, especially those who promised us ‘evidence’.

Most people can not afford high cost lawyer to fight in court. Government wins. Gov
newsom going to take my farm water / charge me to use my own water. $100,000 to
fight. Group in Colorado took up the fight. 3 weeks later court said what newsom was doing was illegal. Gov makes up new rules knowing people cant afford to fight for there
rights.

No citizen should be victimized by political lawfare without reason.or proof of crime.
And that is what this is about.
I support such fund.

The punishment is as much the process as anything. The left uses it as political retribution. They will bankrupt you even if you are innocent. The hypocrites in congress have their own slush fund to handle their “bimbo erruptions” and similar. Another winning idea from Trump.

VICTORY FOR THE TAXPAYERS!
The DOJ and Courts have stopped Trumps Weaponization Fund. All taxpayers should be against this, for those who work hard earn a living and follow the law; those who don’t work and are on the dole have no say in the matter. WE SHOULD ALL AGREE what the lawfare of the dems. was outrageous, ruined good lives, punished innocent people, BUT the answer isn’t TAXPAYER PENALTIES, BUT THE PEOPLE who perpetrated the fraud and lied about the event should be the ones being punished, with JAIL TIME, FINES TO PAY RETRIBUTION to those who were incarcerated some for over a year with no hearing

Why would you compensate those who committed violent crimes? I’m not sure I understand the rationale there. I DO think that those who lost jobs, were swatted, were jailed for political beliefs or were otherwise harmed due to illegal weaponization of our justice system should have just compensation and it should be mitigated through our court system but ONLY after these liberal rogue judges who do not follow the rule of law or abide the Constitution are eliminated.

I feel like the people responsible for causing the injustice from the government should have to pay—- not the people’s money. This could get ugly. But for example if someone makes up lies and it’s proven, the senators or congress persons should have their wages garnished. The lies told against Trump have been agregious!

Unfortunately, this fund is limited to one episode. What about government schools radicalizind children without parental permission. What about the stolen tax refunds of citizens who couldn’t afford health insurance. What about citizens who lost businesses and jobs over lies of covid. What about mandatory government shut down of private businesses. I could go on. The fund serves a good purpose in this case, but the traitors who caused it still run free.

Victims of lawfare deserve to be compensated. The fund is being created from the proceeds of a settlement Trump won against the IRS. $1.75B is not chump change. The fund will be administered by an investment advisor and will earn interest and dividends – it is self-funding. The only defect is that the lawfare perps will not be held accountable and will escape accountability. Perhaps awards can be disclosed and the associated lawfare can be publicized.

A stunningly clumsy rollout of what could have been a valuable program.

Examples that could have been followed were the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund and the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Fund both of which were managed by Kenneth Feinberg.

These two funds successfully distributed $7 billion and $20 billion respectively without incurring the wrath of either political party.

Too bad that the lawyers who created the Anti-Weaponization Fund didn’t do a little more homework before they introduced it.

I support the concept of helping victims of unlawful government persecution. But something substantial MUST be done to prevent the government from EVER persecuting Americans again. I propose that all criminals in government and the judiciary who violated our laws so they could persecute people they perceive to be their enemies MUST be prosecuted and held to the highest standard of behavior, including prison, disbarment, and restitution from their own resources. The government is NOT above the law, but unless they are ALWAYS held accountable, they will continue to act like the tyrants they are.

The warriors of Jan 6 who peacefully demonstrated their right to protest our rigged election process and have been financially destroyed by the hangman’s jury Jan 6 committee along with masterminds of Nancy Pelosi, Liz Cheney, Bennie Thompson (to name only a few, throw Jamie Raskin, Dan Goldman, Hakeem and Chuck in there too) along with Biden’s DOJ should be compensated for their losses. However, this fund should be compensated by the billions made by Nancy Pelosi and all the other rich members of congress (both house and senate) that have made ludicrous amounts of money trading based upon their privileged knowledge. These members should be stripped of their wealth made from trading and those illegal trading profits should compensate the innocent victims of the weaponized warfare of our government. Also throw in fraudulent funds our government has paid to non profits of which the 501c3 directors were family members of congress who cashed in big time! It is not only the J6ers who were destroyed, it was people like the father of the poor girl who was sexually abused in Loudon County who defended his daughter to the school board and they cuffed and arrested him, Catholics and anyone who opposed our corrupt government or the millions of illegals Biden has let in…and why hasn’t Mayorkas been thrown in jail for lying over and over about how our borders were secured while illegals poured into our country day after day. Oh, and I forgot about our Somali congresswoman Omar who was worth only a thousand dollars a couple of years ago, then the next year, worth millions, give or take a winery or two, thanks to the billions of fraud in MN, then all of a sudden she was almost broke again due to an error reported by her accountant…right!! The list goes on and on…we have a very corrupt government that needs to be cleaned out!!! Please stop electing these corrupt people!!!! They need to go to JAIL…where is accountability!!!

The problem is that most of the J6er’s were brought up on bogus charges and subjected to both intense pressure by a justice department that sole purpose was to punish innocent civilians. The FBI instigated any and all violence and illegal activities by spraying a peaceful crowd with tear gas and flash bang grenades. Likewise the Capitol Police basically invited people into the Capitol by opening the doors. Then there is the conditions that the J6ers faced once they were in prison.

Why would an investigative committee destroy the proof it used to define and convict anyone? I submit the J6 investigation committee is not above the law. Truth is essential from each and every aspect of our government. When any government does not apply the same standards to itself that it imposes on its citizens, then that government should be feared and not trusted. Our government should right any wrong it has committed and attempt to restore citizens they wronged. Also, any member of our government allowing or using fraud should be subjected to the laws applied to citizens. It is necessary that all citizens expect justice regardless of gender, skin color, political views or religious beliefs. Money might soothe some of the grievous misbehavior of the J6 committee, I am not sure. However, the root problem must be addressed. Justice will not exist without truth.

There is video of a little Capitol Police officer waiving protesters into the Capitol. Then the police used flash /bang grenades into the crowd when no one was assaulting the fence. Once the police waived protesters inside they walked off their jobs minutes before Ashley Babbit was shot standing by the door, to get out of line of fire. The Capitol Police then murdered a USAF veteran. This was a govt staged event to stop the proceeding from questioning the electors. The murder worked , it stopped VP Mike Pence from doing his duty by returning state questioned electors for verification. In the Bible Queen Ester saved her Jewish people by standing up for them, Mike Pence folded on his watch & the people were destroyed for 4 years. Then there was a second protestor woman who was whipped (later died ) by Capitol Police on Jan 6. This fund balances the books for Govt weaponization crimes against it’s citizens. I am a big police supported but not using police staged events for political propaganda purpose. The police murdered Ashley Babbitt , the Officer was hid away ,given $ , a promotion, and a presidential pardon. This says all you need to know about any alleged assault’s against the Capitol police , many who have written books to make $.

A Government fund to compensate victims of government weaponization only furthers the current problem that there is no personal responsibility for wrongdoing and crimes committed by politicians and government employees. Politicians and Government employees should subject to the same laws as everyone else and not be able to hide from personal liability behind their government position.

I think this is definitely worth considering. But compensation through a fund like this could easily be misused. The “government” definitely needs to be held accountable under the Constitution for unreasonable activities against its citizens — enforce the Bill of Rights — but I think there are measures in place to do so, even in light of the bias and corruption currently in our judicial system. I don’t think we need more tools. Let’s use those we have in hand thanks to our founders.

With weaponization of the government, the process is the punishment. Normal individual citizens can’t afford to fight the unlimited funds of the government when they come after you. If you can win in court, you still pay a high price in damaged reputation, time, legal costs and incarceration.

Compare that with the treatment of the ANTIFA, Black Lives Matter, anti-ICE, pro-Palestinian and various university rioters that may be arrested and released by progressive judges, Attorney General and law enforcement.

Award the compendation based on the facts and evidence or lack thereof on a case by case basis due to Biden Govt weaponization. Then go after the government abusers who broke the law criminally and civilly to recover the tax payer funds. Biden created the two tiered system of justice to have it both ways.

In our system of jurisprudence, each charged individual is tried as an individual, no group trials, no group punishment. In this instance, if the prior punishment is appropriate to the crime, then no compensation seems warranted. if, however, the punishment is excessive compared to the charged crime, the compensation does seem warranted.

The liberal left have been funding protesters with our tax dollars for years. Protesters who assaulted police and citizens during the 2020 riots. Protesters who destroyed property, both private and government owned. How many billions have the democrat party siphoned off to fund their destruction of American society? 1.7 billion is a pittance compared to what the democrats have stolen from the American people!

As a Republican, I support the job President is doing, for most of his actions. Which have been for the betterment of our country, but this fund should not be put into place. The bigger issue, is the Fund that pays for member of congress legal fees and Non Disclosure Agreements when members of Congress have sexual harassment or other claims filed against them. They are representatives of the people and should be held to the same standard as the American public.

In theory justice should be accomplished through the court system. In reality the court system is totally corrupt and owned by the Democrat party. The Democrats destroyed many many lives for no reason other than their power. I would love to see them go to jail for it, but it will never happen. Anyone that thinks that the course will rule against the Democrat party is smoking dope. And of course Democrats are against it they’re the ones that weaponize the government. All Democrats deserve to be in jail, but they will be going straight to hell on the judgment day. Everything they stand for is explicitly against the word of God in the Bible. They are truly the party of Satan. Justice will come and it will be eternal

While I support the principle of compensating people whose government turned against them, I see scads of potential corruption. How can we establish rules and procedures to compensate true victims, without a massive bureaucratic institution that would be opening the doors to massive fraudulent claims. We have plenty of fraud in the government already. We can’t even count on the courts to fairly adjudicate anything! We perhaps need to turn to the reason we have the Second Amendment, to uproot those in the government who have turned against the people. Unfortuneately that sounds like advocating violence, of course that is promoted (as described in the Declaration) as a duty. So maybe it’s back to the ballot box.
