Nancy Pelosi was recently asked by USA Today’s Susan Page if the Democrats would impeach President Trump a third time if they capture a majority in the House next year. Her answer was predictably coy: “The person most responsible for impeaching President Trump when I was speaker was President Trump.” When Page pressed Pelosi on whether she believed impeachment should be on her party’s agenda, she said, “No, there has to be cause. There has to be reason.” This is very similar to the way she tiptoed around the “I” word during the run-up to the 2018 midterms, knowing full well that it was part of the Democrat plan all along.
This time, Pelosi’s evasive answers are unlikely to fool anyone. To begin with, her claim that “there has to be cause” is belied by the flimsy pretexts the Democrats used to impeach President Trump twice during his first term. Indeed, the second impeachment was so absurd that Chief Justice John Roberts refused to preside over the Senate trial.
Moreover, it is manifestly obvious that the Democrats still suffer from impeachment fever. Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) has already introduced articles of impeachment against President Trump twice during the first year of his second term, and 140 Democrats voted in favor of impeachment only one week ago.
Three members of Trump’s Cabinet have also been threatened with impeachment. Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-IL) has requested that the House Judiciary Committee conduct an investigation into DHS Secretary Kristi Noem’s “unlawful and potentially impeachable actions.” In a letter to committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Ranking Member Jamie Raskin (D-MD), Ramirez accuses Noem of committing all manner of vaguely defined crimes based on hopelessly tendentious “news” reports from outlets such as ProPublica, PBS affiliate WTTW, The New York Times, ad infinitum. Here is the opening paragraph of her letter:
Under Secretary Kristi Noem’s leadership, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has done irreversible harm to our constituents, trampling the rights of all people and disregarding the rule of law. Secretary Noem has established a clear pattern of lawless behavior, mirrored in the behavior of rank and file members of her leadership team. She disregards the separation of powers, breaks the law, violates the standards of ethical behavior set for those in public office, and misuses resources appropriated by Congress. When taken together, her actions violate her oath of office.
Meanwhile, Rep. Shri Thanedar (D-MI) has introduced articles of impeachment against Secretary of War Pete Hegseth based on two charges: “Murder and Conspiracy to Murder” and “Reckless and Unlawful Mishandling of Classified Information.” The first charge involves the much-discussed drug boat drone strike in which Hegseth allegedly ordered a “double tap” for the sole purpose of killing two survivors of the initial attack. The second charge is related to the tired “Signalgate” pseudo-scandal.
As is typically the case with Democrat impeachment efforts, the witch hunt against Hegseth has more to do with politics than any actual crimes. It is no coincidence that Thanedar is facing primary challenges in 2026 for his House seat and is desperate to bolster his progressive bona fides.
This is also the likely motivation for the articles of impeachment introduced by Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI), accusing HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. of “abuse of authority and undermining of the public health.” Stevens is running against two other Democrats to succeed U.S. Sen. Gary Peters (D), who is retiring at the end of 2026.
The charges Stevens has leveled against Kennedy include “abdication of duty by cutting funding for lifesaving research,” “severely restricting access to vaccines, spreading absurd conspiracies, and putting lives in danger,” and “failure to carry out his statutory duties in administering the FDA and CDC.” Specifically, Stevens alleges:
Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has turned his back on science … Under his watch, families are less safe and less healthy, people are paying more for care, lifesaving research has been gutted, and vaccines have been restricted. He has driven up health care costs while tearing down the scientific institutions that keep Michiganders and families across America safe. His actions are reckless, his leadership is harmful, and his tenure has become a direct threat to our nation’s health and security. Congress cannot and will not stand by while one man dismantles decades of medical progress.
In total, that’s five separate impeachment resolutions introduced during the first 11 months of the second Trump administration.
We are told that Democrats’ congressional leadership is not enthusiastic about impeaching the President or members of his Cabinet, but if you listen carefully to them, what they are really saying is that everyone should be patient until they win back the House. Consider what House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) said when asked about impeaching Hegseth: “Republicans will never allow articles of impeachment to be brought to the floor of the House of Representatives.”
In other words, “just wait until we get back in charge – then, it’s game on.”
Nor did Jeffries vote to table the latest impeachment resolution against Trump introduced by Rep. Green. He was among 47 Democrats who voted “present.” Nancy Pelosi’s claim that “The person most responsible for impeaching President Trump when I was speaker was President Trump” is nonsense. The event that guaranteed Trump’s first and second impeachments was the 2018 midterm election in which the Democrats “harvested” a majority in the House. On December 18, 2019, less than a year after they were sworn in, they impeached him.
If the Democrats cobble together a majority in 2026, impeachment number three is as inevitable as Greek tragedy. For all their recent posturing about “affordability” and skyrocketing healthcare premiums (two problems they created, for the record), the only concrete plans they appear to have are doomed impeachment schemes that will only succeed at giving liberal talking heads something to preen about on cable news.
The good news is that the irresponsible impeachment resolutions discussed above may scare the horses. The President and the Republicans must remind the country during the run-up to the midterms that the Democrats have never accepted the will of the voters where Trump is concerned. They talk a lot about “democracy,” but they don’t believe in it.

If the majority of members of a party in Congress votes three times for impeachment and fails, there should be consequences for that party as it obviously makes these claims without due diligence and merely uses impeachment as a political tool, not a real remedy for actual wrongdoings. These proceedings brought without basis are a drain on taxpayer money, and amount to obstruction of Congress, and slander. Those party members having brought the unbased charges should be removed themselves if they made unfounded charges twice, and an immediate special election in their district held to replace them, furthermore, there should be a multimillion dollar fine charged to the perpetrating party’s headquarters, payable immediately and without delay, or deferment to the slandered party, and the Department of the Treasury as restitution for the damages sustained from slander, and for the loss of time in Congress and taxpayer money. This Kabuki theater, and lawfare show needs to come to an end for the benefit of our country. Rather than working for the good of our country, passing a budget, and actually debating pros and cons of bills, Congress is engaging in annual food fights seeing who can smear whom with the most amount of mashed potatoes and gravy. Maybe we should change the way members of Congress are addressed from “the honorable” to “the juvenile”!

It looks to me like the House Un-American Activities Committee should be revived. It was changed to the House Committee on Internal Security in 1969, and then folded into the House Judiciary Committee in 1975, but we’re inundated with communists in Congress today. Despite that I am not politically knowledgeable, I am able to identify the motivation of those impeachments, which have never happened in the world history.
About Trump’s first impeachment, I was curious and spent time to read documents from various sources in order to know more about the truth, which was thought to possibly be hidden behind the scene. But after CDC declaration of the Covid-19 pandemic, the motivation for the creation of that stupid Covid-19 pandemic was intuitively recognized by me in mid-2020 a conspiracy to overthrow the government.
Since then on, with that conspiracy lingering in my mind, impeachments of any kinds created by the Leftist Democrats were acknowledged by me to be designed by them for the same purpose.
Because I was not politically knowledgeable, I could only see things in a simple possible way. So, what that conspiracy was for about? – It was not difficult to understand: TO PREVENT THE LEFTISTS’ CORRUPTION FROM BEING REVEALED, CONVICTED, and EXECUTED BY THE TRUMP’S ADMINISTRATION. And that’s it.

Political parties need to present common sense plans by which they intend to shape governmental programs. Defunding police makes no sense, because it does not offer a deterrent to crime. DEI makes no sense because it promotes policies that reward a person on the basis of ethnicity rather than ability.
