BREAKING: Trump’s Successful DC Crime Crackdown Sends His Approval Rating to Record Highs

In the latest total rejection of the prevailing corporate media narrative and Democrat handwringing about “federal overreach,” President Donald Trump now enjoys the highest approval rating of his presidency, fueled in large part by a dramatic drop in violent crime in Washington, D.C. following his decision to deploy the National Guard and federalize the city’s police force.

A new Daily Mail/J.L. Partners poll finds Trump’s approval rating at 55 percent, up six points from July. It’s the strongest rating the firm has ever recorded for the President, and it comes after a month in which Trump remained in Washington rather than take a summer vacation, focusing on crime, the economy, and high-stakes diplomacy.

The president’s August executive order authorizing federal intervention in the nation’s capital has led to more than 1,800 arrests and a steep decline in nearly every major crime category. According to city data, violent crime is down nearly 50 percent compared to this time last year. Robberies have dropped 46 percent, and vehicle theft has fallen 35 percent.

Even some Democrat officials have been forced to acknowledge this remarkable success -while others continue to obstruct what is clearly working. Late last month, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, who initially criticized federal involvement, admitted that the surge has produced measurable benefits.

“The difference between this 20-day period of this federal surge and last year represents an 87% reduction in carjackings,” she told reporters. As AMAC Newsline previously reported, Bowser followed up this week by issuing an order that formally requires D.C. law enforcement to continue coordinating with federal authorities – a move that, while not overtly political, reflects quiet recognition that Trump’s strategy is working.

The poll also comes amid other signs of national stability. The U.S. economy grew by 3.3 percent in the second quarter, inflation held steady, and consumer spending and personal income both rose. The S&P 500 hit five new records in August. Trump also used the month to push forward international negotiations, including a rare meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska and subsequent White House talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders.

While all of Trump’s actions have been met with predictable cries of protest from Democrats and the liberal commentariat class, it’s clear that the American people feel differently. Trump’s polling bump suggests that a majority of Americans are less concerned about jurisdictional niceties than about getting results – especially in cities that have seen crime spiral out of control in recent years under soft-on-crime policies.

More broadly, the success of the D.C. operation highlights a point the president and his supporters have long made: America’s urban decline isn’t inevitable. It’s a choice. The chaos that has engulfed so many cities is the product of years of failed progressive leadership, lenient prosecutors, and broken political priorities.

Trump’s actions in the capital, while controversial in some circles, are a reminder that cities can, in fact, be safe again. But it will take a willingness to confront the problem directly, and to put the safety of citizens above ideological purity. For Democrats still opposing the crackdown, the question is no longer whether Trump’s strategy is working. It’s why they continue to stand in the way.

Thank you so much for this information, Shane! It makes me feel like we are making headway in restoring safety and sanity to our cities. I just wish we could get rid of this soft-on-crime mentality in other states like Oregon, for example.

The sorry, single and warped mind of the elected and totally useless democrats who bluster, swear, act like imbeciles and ignorant did not a GD thing in the last four years but created this defication storm, Screw them, they can disappear and the country is much, much (to the 10th power) better off).

I’m sure the restaurant owners in DC are very happy to have an increase in customers because people are not afraid to go out to eat now. That is great! The Dems are always on the wrong side of the issues. To hear Brandon Johnson, the mayor of Chicago, and JB Pritzker, the Gov. of Illinois, say that crime is not a serious problem is ludicrous. They need the national guard and should be welcoming efforts to stop the horrible crime rates in Chicago and other Dem run cities.

I still wonder WHO is being polled. With the border secure, inflation stopped, and taxes lower, DJT has only 55% support? Why not 80%? There cannot be THAT many idiots out there that are oblivious to current events!

Simple really, we elected a President who’s views and ambitions on most things reflect ours. Thos one also has the energy and experience to move us forward, to reverse negative trends and remove obstacles. This should be the prototype for all future US Presidents.

The mask of the Democrat party is coming completely off. They are suing to stop the crackdown on crime in Washington DC which is working successfully reducing crime. That pretty much tells you what the Democrats are in favor of. They pee on average American citizens, and support criminals. I don’t think there’s enough criminals that can vote to get them back in the office again. I for one am very thankful for their stupidity. Seriously as a party they could not come up with a position on crime. You can’t make this stuff up

We have a very serious problem of good vs. evil; Democrats have chosen path of evil evidenced by their steadfast policy of protecting the criminals in lieu of protecting the real citizens; a very sad situation. Thank God for saving Trump who is in my opinion a real life super man. Thank you very much Mr. President, Donald J. Trump; and if the Dems want to imagine something: imagine this: If you worked with Trump to support our great nation, what a wonderful world it would be. Think about it!

Funny that the polls in Demo dominated areas have his approval rating down. Go figure about UNEVEN polls.

And yet, the Trump-hating media is still claiming that his ratings are lower. It is obvious that the radical liberals are not going to change their hate-speech or any of their loser policies in spite of the polls. They have one thing on their minds….stop Trump and continue to try to destroy our America.

When low-life liberal-scum judges rule against President Trump’s agenda, and radical leftist AGs file suit because crime in liberal-run cities is decreasing, it means DJT is doing the right thing for Americans. MAGA!!!

I hope that the Dem (dolts) base and stance stays exactly on pace for the next year or more.
Congressional seats will definitely favor the GOP and President Trump will actually be able to keep promises made for MAGA. If not prepare for impeachment mania!

Washington DC is our nation’s capital, and how it became such a threat to the safety of its citizens, not to mention tourists,is beyond me. That the National Guard had to be called in is just an example of democrat run cities.

After America and ALL Americans SEE, EXPERIENCE and ENJOY Trump’s WIN AFTER WIN AFTER WIN AFTER WIN AFTER WIN AFTER WIN, ETC……….. one can draw a simple conclusion that ANYONE who could vote for ANY future Democrat, HATES America, HATES Promises made Promises kept, HATES crime reduction, HATES, lower prices, HATES tax rebates, HATES safer streets and neighborhoods, etc., SUFFERS FROM A SERIOUS MENTAL ILLNESS.

Great article, as usual. President Trump is the only president I can recall in my lifetime who keeps all of his promises. He is the greatest president of this century. Reagan was the greatest in the 20th Century. FDR was not the greatest, as he was a dictator whose administration was replete with communists. I will give him a break, since he put people to work during the Depression and let the military do its job during WWII. Otherwise, he resurrected Woodrow Wilson’s (Another Democrat dictator) big government, which was the beginning of the Nanny State.

CONgress needs to get off their collective duffs and END DC’s ridiculous “Home Rule”. The “locals” have proven they cannot maintain the District effectively, so CONgress must do it for them. When your Nations Capitol is a crime ridden mess, it reflects on the Nations leadership as a whole. President Trump started this crackdown on crime, let CONgress finish it.

These modern day Marxist (and racist) Democrats are scared to death that if President Trump succeeds in “Making America Great Again”, they will be left in the dumpster pile of history. And they will DESERVE it! The vast majority of regular, everyday Americans (unfortunately, there will ALWAYS be those who will side ideologically with the crazy radical left) will finally see with their own eyes the lies and hypocrisy of the authoritarian, anti-America Democrat Party. These Democrats despise America, white people, Christianity, capitalism (except for themselves!), the US Constitution (primarily the 1st and 2nd Amendments….once again, except for themselves!), and ALL those Americans who love it. When Trump wins…..they lose. And they can’t have that, can they? NO!

President Trump seems to point us in a better direction on many issues. I hope he has enough traction to invoke common sense on what needs to change through the duration of his second term.

Good start, but I want to see what DC looks like six months from now & some data on how many arrested went to prison, and how many teens Judge Pirro has put in jail, and at last count +150 guns have been taken off the street & were guns from teens or who? Have arrests been by FBI, ICE, or local police or who are the big guns to stop crime in DC? Trump says it was not safe to walk down streets of DC before & now it is safe so I take that to mean the entire city and not just area where FBI is walking the streets.

It’s simple. President Trump thinks like a normal American. That makes him America’s President, and that makes him a hero.

“The president’s August executive order authorizing federal intervention in the nation’s capital has led to more than 1,800 arrests…”
I am all for Trump’s efforts to curb crime. But I cannot help but wonder if the rest of the judicial system is on board. Of those 1800 arrests, how many are walking free? Is the rest of the judicial system doing their job of prosecuting, convicting and, where appropriate, incarcerating? Or do we have prosecutors and judges running a revolving door “judicial” system?
More information is needed Mr. Harris. Please follow up with the rest of the story.

The crackdown on crime under President Trump is working making our streets better and much more safe. I am not sure why the Democrats in the different cities cant get on board with this except one reason there hate for President Trump is what it is. The Democrat run cities allow allow crime to go unchecked most are just check cashers do nothing in there cities. President Trump is doing a great job with crime and the border.

Crime in DC in good news, but job report out today is not good news altho Nutlick claims jobs are good & Billions of dollars are going to build in US in next five years. I am speaking for the NW area where I live & the tariffs are causing many small businesses to close their doors as cannot afford to pay tariff costs. These are a lot of small groups of 20-50 people and small farms, and etc. but I think that this number is growing and destroying a lot of jobs and families. The White House needs to realize tariffs are costing jobs & that the American consumer is the one paying tariffs & not other counties & that corporations cannot afford to absorb the extra tariff costs either. Assume that Federal employees that were laid off are getting paid thru Sept or Oct, so these people do not show up as unemployed yet?

I’m all for fighting crime but let’s face the real situation: the thugs have just moved. They are waiting for the 30 days to end because that’s all the time the NG can be there and they will be back because the DC police are still not going to do their job and the judges are still going to let them run loose. Martial law does not solve the crime problem unless you want to make it permanent and live in a police state. That is available in North Korea and China or closer to home, Cuba.
