The Final Hours of the Iranian Dictatorship

For 46 years, Iran has been ruled by a repressive and malignant theocratic regime. In all that time, its radical jihadist government has intended as its primary goal the destruction of the Jewish state of Israel, the United States, and the Christian-based nations of Western Europe. But now it appears as if the Islamic Republic may be in its final hours.

The immediate impetus of this circumstance has rightfully and appropriately come from a spontaneous uprising from the long-suffering Iranian people themselves. The policies of the totalitarian state under its cruel supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, have left the nation of more than 90 million people fiscally bankrupt and lacking water, food, utilities, and other necessities.

The regime has brutally cracked down on protesters. Although the numbers cannot yet be verified, estimates of civilians killed by the regime vary from 6,000 to more than 30,000. Estimates of those wounded and imprisoned are in the tens of thousands.

U.S., Israeli, and now British land, sea, and air military resources are now in the Middle East close to Iran as a last-chance opportunity for the Islamic Republic regime to surrender its power peaceably and for its leaders to leave the country expires.

U.S. President Donald Trump has warned Iran that “time is running out” to negotiate a deal on its nuclear program as U.S. and allied forces gather in the Persian Gulf.

Despite Khamenei’s threats to retaliate if the allied forces take military action against the regime, it appears clear that Iran’s current abilities are severely overmatched. The regime and both its regular military and the elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps are already in disarray from weeks of public protests. Its air defenses were destroyed in the Twelve-Day War with Israel last June, and its air force is no match for the combined U.S.-Israeli-British air power resources.

The regime is also still reeling from a targeted U.S. strike last year, which significantly set back the country’s nuclear capabilities. Fears had been growing that Iran could enrich enough uranium to produce a nuclear weapon, a prospect that was unacceptable to the Western alliance. Last June, American bombers attacked three nuclear facilities as part of Operation Midnight Hammer, the first U.S. attack on Iranian territory since a 1988 naval offensive.

The only significant weapons available to the regime are an unknown, but limited, number of ballistic missiles which could be used against Israel and U.S. military targets in the Middle East, as well as Iranian-made suicide drones. However, the U.S. and its allies have a state-of-the-art anti-missile and anti-drone defense capability. Jordan and Saudi Arabia, as they did during the Twelve-Day War, would be able to destroy a great many missiles and drones before they reached their targets. Furthermore, a preemptive missile attack from Iran would provoke a massive and immediate response.

Actual military action against Iran could happen at any time, but it is more likely days away for the U.S. and its allies to put their war plan, including defense of their bases and assets, securely in place. Time is on the U.S. side because, however long it must wait to begin, its adversary does not have the resources to significantly improve its situation through a short delay.

Reportedly, Chinese and Russian planes are flying in with some supplies and equipment, but this is mostly symbolic, as the regime is withering every day from lack of basic food and water – and from international sanctions against the regime.

In the tensions and threats leading up to the present crisis, the regime’s leaders could be tempted to make a fatal tactical error such as launching preemptive attacks against U.S. air bases, ships, or Israeli cities — which would prompt an annihilating response from the U.S. and Israel.

Yogi Berra probably never went to Iran, but his iconic caveat still applies: “It isn’t over until it’s over.” Yet after the unspeakable murder and torture of tens of thousands of Iranian civilians and the Islamic Republic’s countless crimes over the past 46 years, there is no outcome possible other than total defeat.

If the surviving ones who protested and those who lost family and loved ones have anything to say about it, an Islamic government will never be acceptable. Some form of secular government will have to emerge. May God spare innocent Iranian people who only long for peace and freedom from Muslim tyrrany!

Somehow you just know that Donald Trump will take care of this! As opposed to Barack Obama who turned his back walked way and washed his hands of the whole thing. Where are all the democrators protesting the death of all the people in Iran? You know the answer to that

Good for the Iranian people as they finally near the end of the medieval era, and the liberation from the medieval death cult of islam.

Our military will open a can of whoopass on Iran, but what concerns me is the existence of all the terror cells within our borders. Thanks to borderless Biden’s welcome mat to all those Islamic loonygoons, we’ll be attacked from within our country by radical Islamic thugs if our strike force is unleashed on Iran, and I doubt that the CIA or FBI has a clue about how many cells there are or where they’re located.

No matter what happens to the current regime in Iran, it will still be an Islamic government that takes over and will still want the destruction of the nation of Israel and the USA. There may be a delay of negative rhetoric, but it will still surface eventually.

I pray that the people of Iran can return to a peaceful government like before the coup of 1979. We had good relations back then and I personally knew people who were there for the telephone company that had to escape. The people deserve a free country without the repression and corruption of the current regime. So many have been killed for standing up in support of freedom.

I’m tired of Iran. It is time to send the bombers that hit their nuclear program to seek out their Supreme Leader and to hit some of their military bases. The more destruction the better chance the people have of taking back their country.

One hates to see an attack which will kill a lot of innocents along with the evil perpetrators of this disgusting theocratic regime. But if the regime has no respect for life, including their own obviously, what is there left to do? Khomeini and his henchmen need to be hung by the neck from a crane in public. Then they will find out there is no heaven and 77 virgins for murderers.

It is terrible what the people who live under this evil leader have had to endure. Frankly, I am more worried about what the rebellion in our own country is going to produce. If the Minnesota mess is not ended soon, we will be seeing a civil war again in our country. Just read that Homan has come out to say the officials have agreed to work with ICE but they have done nothing but lie to everyone throughout this debacle. The rebels are trained and funded by evil Communists via several groups here in the states…including some chapters of BLM. Those who are aiding and abetting these rioters need to be arrested and jailed, period!! I do not trust Walz and Frey to work with the officers who are only doing what Trump must do to protect we, the people. Lock those two up as well.

The Persians [the majority of Iran] are western-oriented people and well-acquainted with secular leadership. The late Shah, with all his faults, was a LOT better than the Muslim terrorist leadership! But Jimmy Carter just HAD to help Khomeini return to Iran! How many Americans have died because of this demonic regime?

We CANNOT ALLOW Khamenei and his butchers to just relinquish power and walk away after all the evil atrocities they committed. Just as it was with Iraq’s Sadam Hussein, Khamenei and his butchers need to be captured and turned over to the new Iranian government to allow the new government and the people to put them on trial and determine their fate which hopefully will be what Sadam got. They CANNOT be allowed to just walk away which I believe if they are allowed to just walk away, they will try to retake their power back.

After Israel wiped out Iran’s air defenses, and after the U.S. bombed its nuclear facilities, Iran did nothing. Its talk about a massive retaliation is just that: talk. My only fear is that the terrorists who were let into our country by the Biden Administration will launch a jihad against us. Who knows how many hundreds of them are here.

This resembles the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. There was no alternative for Mr. Gorbachev with Moscow Mayor Boris Yeltsin leading the street protests, and the Big SJ Administrations global military forces simply more than USSR could confront. Gorbachev and his circle were allowed out with no Nuremberg trials.
Will the Ayatollah allowed to escape apprehension and execution? Probably.

If Trump and the Brits are there, I think they need to take action now. The protestors are being captured, tortured, then bagged up and thrown in a pile. They aren’t always dead either. This was the last report I heard. I wanted to kick their butts myself. Sadly, I am not Super Man. I’m an old woman. Our military is though. The Brits are excellent soldiers and pilots. We all know Israel is top notch. Just do it and get it over with.

I hope and pray for a genuinely successful Iranian “counter-revolution” that will bring Crown Prince Michael Pahlavi back as a constitutional monarch presiding over a transition to a more secularized and more representative government that will align Iran with the West, Israel, and the UAE.
The West cannot bring about SUCCESSFUL “regime change” in Iran — the country is far too large to achieve there what the West failed to achieve in far smaller and more accessible Iraq, Somalia, or Libya, much less Afghanistan. But it CAN support and facilitate the organic, self-sacrificial action of the Iranian people to bring about fundamental change.
Unlike 1979, it is unlikely that Moscow would be able to intervene in any significant way to support the Khomeini’ists, and the remnants of the Marxist Mujaheddin-e-Khalq insurgent-terrorists [most of whom were killed off by Khomeini in 1979-80 or fled to Iraq] certainly will not support any Khomeini’ist effort to retain power.

I’ve read that the Islamic government is planning to bomb Iranian neighborhoods and then blame it on the US and its allies. Let’s hope they are stopped before that happens. I was friends with a group of Iranian girls in college when the Shah had to go into exile and they all said that they would not return to that country because they would have no rights. I pray for the Iranian/Persian people every night. God help them because they need the help.

Iran’s most important weapon is hatred, and it appears the Iranian people have had more than enough of that.
The radical guards are mostly the children and grandchildren of the original monsters from 1979, and they are at odds with the female population who want none of it. If momma ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy. May God save the Iranian people from the 6th century barbarians.

Hard to believe this is finally happening. Once the west is allowed to enter to help the citizens we will probably become of abuses akin to that of the Nazi regime.
We need prayers for the people and that an intelligent, caring leadership will be established. Not another hard-line zealot who will smother religious liberty, education and respect for all it’s citizens.
