Inside Passage: Nature’s Living Cathedral
There are a few places left on Earth where the power of creation speaks as boldly as it does in Alaska. Towering mountains, glistening glaciers, and wildlife-rich waters tell a story far greater than words—a story of wonder, peace, and divine artistry. Discover how cruising transports you to Inside Passage’s awe-inspiring vistas as you journey through God’s country.
Carved out by colossal glaciers millions of years ago, Inside Passage is a breathtaking 500-mile coastal route along the Pacific Ocean. It’s defined by narrow waterways, deep fjords, and a vast stretch of verdant islands. In fact, much of Inside Passage rests inside the Tongass National Forest— America’s largest national forest.
Sailing through Alaska’s famed Inside Passage offers a front-row seat to nature at its most untamed. It’s the best way to observe breaching whales, playful porpoises, and sea lions in the wild, as well as unobstructed views of puffins and eagles soaring overhead. The steady pace of sailing gives you ample time to take in the moose, elk, and grizzlies you’ll see along the coast. This vibrant ecosystem is a moving reminder of the Creator’s presence.
For most, Alaska is a bucket-list travel destination. Since only 20% of Alaska is accessible by road, cruising is the most popular way to travel there. Even if you’ve cruised to Alaska before, you’ve never experienced it AMAC style…

Just returned from a cruise through Inside Passage, absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. I’d repeat the same cruise all over again, mostly for scenery. Princess Coral Seas, only 2,000 passengers, great restaurants, not that crowded. Spent little time in actual towns, did some great tours, skipped most of the ship stuff for once, just chilled out on my balcony. My only complaint was too many kids, had expected most to be back in school. I’m headed to Fairbanks in March 2026 to HOPEFULLY see the Northern Lights-bucket list. I could live in Alaska its that beautiful.
If you don’t like crowed ships and tours check out Gondwana Ecotours. We have been on their small group Northern Lights (Fairbanks) tour and their Glaciers and Grizzlies (Seward and Homer) tour…..Just Fantastic.
See Skagway area in the south
So wish I could afford it, but with $70 left in bank to last till the end of the month….. Those of us on SS only have it really hard with grocery prices still high and GAS! OUCH!! I’m on a strict diet which doesn’t help either
