Protect Election Integrity, Transparency, and Accountability!

North Carolinians deserve free, fair, and secure elections. Unfortunately, H.B. 1246, the Safeguarding Elections Act, would weaken critical election safeguards by:

Limiting voter-eligibility challenges: Moving the deadline for certain challenges from 25 to 90 days before an election.

Weakening audit accountability: Establishing audits that cannot change election results without requiring further action when discrepancies arise.

Discouraging election oversight: Imposing heightened evidence standards and penalties related to election certification.

AMAC Action believes voting should be easy and cheating should be hard. Election laws must protect eligible voters while ensuring transparency, accountability, and meaningful safeguards against fraud and error.
