Why it matters
Tell Congress: The U.S. Constitution Must Remain the Supreme Law of the Land
The United States Constitution is the foundation of American law and the ultimate safeguard of our individual liberties. No foreign or religious legal code should ever supersede the constitutional rights guaranteed to American citizens.
H.R. 5512, the No Shari’a Act, will prohibit the application of Shari’a law when doing so would violate rights protected by the U.S. Constitution.
America protects religious freedom, and Americans have the right to practice their faith without government interference. But religious liberty does not permit any alternative legal system to override constitutional protections, due process, equal protection, or other fundamental rights.
The principle is simple: In the United States, the Constitution comes first.
Contact your representative today and urge them to support H.R. 5512, the No Shari’a Act, and defend the constitutional rights and liberties of every American.
