Ohio H.B. 279, Authorize an Income Tax Credit for Family Caregiving Expenses, would provide eligible family caregivers with a state income tax credit for qualifying out-of-pocket costs, including home modifications, assistive equipment, respite care, home-care services, and transportation.

These families are doing more than providing care. They are helping parents, spouses, and loved ones maintain their independence, remain in their communities, and age in place with dignity.
