SAVE TEXAS UPDATE: Major Victory for AMAC, Religious Liberty as Voters Overwhelmingly Back Ban on Sharia Law

Texas Republican voters delivered a decisive message this week about the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law. In Tuesday’s primary election, voters overwhelmingly approved Proposition 10 — a measure making it official policy of the Texas Republican Party to prohibit the influence of Sharia law and other foreign religious legal codes in the Lone Star State.

The result was emphatic. Roughly 95 percent of Republican primary voters supported the measure, signaling near-universal agreement among grassroots conservatives that American civil law must always be grounded in the U.S. and Texas Constitutions.

For AMAC and its tens of thousands of members in Texas, the vote represents a significant victory in the ongoing effort to defend constitutional governance and protect religious liberty for Americans of all faiths.

Ahead of the vote, AMAC mobilized its more than 90,000 Texas members through grassroots outreach, educational campaigns, and coalition building with other organizations committed to preserving the integrity of the American legal system.

Proposition 10 does not restrict religious worship or target Muslims or any other faith community. It affirms that the First Amendment guarantees every American the right to practice religion freely. Instead, the proposition addresses a fundamentally different issue — whether any religious legal code, including Sharia, should ever override or influence the civil laws that govern Americans.

Under the Constitution, the answer is clear. In the United States, there is one legal system that applies equally to everyone.

That principle has increasingly come under scrutiny in recent years as policymakers confront attempts to establish parallel legal frameworks in certain communities. In Texas, those concerns have been amplified by proposals such as the controversial “EPIC City” development, which critics warned could function as a self-contained enclave governed by Sharia-compliant rules.

Governor Greg Abbott signed legislation last year targeting developments that attempt to operate outside state law or restrict residency based on religion, while Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick has made preventing Sharia influence a priority for the next legislative session.

Tuesday’s vote adds powerful grassroots momentum to those efforts.

It is important to note that Proposition 10 itself does not immediately change Texas law. Primary ballot propositions are advisory measures used by political parties to gauge voter priorities and shape the party platform heading into future legislative sessions.

But the overwhelming margin of support sends a clear signal to lawmakers in Austin that Republican voters want firm safeguards ensuring that foreign or religious legal systems cannot supersede constitutional law.

For AMAC, that message represents both a milestone and a starting point.

AMAC has been actively educating members and policymakers about the constitutional conflicts that arise when religious legal codes attempt to operate as civil law. As experts emphasized during a recent strategy meeting attended by national leaders and Texas policymakers, the First Amendment protects religious belief and worship — but it does not permit the enforcement of religious criminal codes that violate constitutional protections such as equal protection, due process, and prohibitions on cruel and unusual punishment.

Protecting those principles ultimately protects everyone — including peaceful Muslims who would themselves be subject to discriminatory practices under Sharia-based legal systems.

The Texas vote shows that voters understand that distinction.

Yet as AMAC leaders have emphasized, the March primary vote is only the first step. Turning this policy position into enforceable law will require continued public education, legislative action, and grassroots engagement in the months ahead.

Texas has long been viewed as a bulwark for constitutional governance in America. With Tuesday’s vote, Republican voters have made clear that they intend to keep it that way.

For AMAC and its members, the fight to defend the Constitution is far from over — but this week’s vote proves that when Americans stand up for the rule of law, they can still win decisive victories.

This country was established by Christian Values and our laws were created based on Christian Values and beliefs. There shoud Never be another religion allowed to influence any laws in the USA. Practice whatever religion you want but follow the LAWS created within the USA.

Another dangerous liberal that AMAC must alert Texas voters about is Talerico, the blasphemous democrat Senate candidate. He is on record of misleading voters, quoting Biblical scripture while at the same time saying that God is non-binary. Ummmm, Jesus started The Lord’s Prayer with “Our FATHER,” NOT “Our gender-confused lord.” Satan is working his evil ways with this character.

How sad that that which had no business starting in the first place is celebrated as a victory because it’s overruled. Anyone not willing to obey and live by the laws governing this country should be marched right back to the country of origin, where they already have the rules by which they want to live. That needs to be the first and the last rule, for everyone wanting to live here. This is Christian country, state and church are separate entities. Don’t like it, don’t come. This pussyfooting around, careful not to offend, accommodate and bend back has created nothing but problems. End the multi culti One law for everyone including politicians . There is enough and there is too much, which we a dealing with right now.

Mark Levin has described IN DETAIL what the authors of the 14th Amendment said and how they intended it to work! There is NO mention of granting citizenship to ILLEGAL immigrants or people passing through the country. Otherwise all children born to foreign ambassadors would be US citizens, which is RIDICULOUS! Will there be 5 SCOTUS members brave enough to vote the right way? I know of only 3 sure votes! John Roberts blows in the wind. He is ALMOST as bad as Anthony Kennedy who voted against the 10 Commandments because students might decide to obey them! Sure, just keep them fighting and raping, not obeying the laws!

This is very positive news! Would very much like to see this carry over to other states… Sharia must be stopped everywhere. And people need to realize that Islam is not a religion. When an Imam in Michigan mourns the death of Iran’s supreme leader, a sponsor of terrorism and death, we have a problem. But this is what is spreading across America. Every conservative MUST vote in the midterms… no exceptions, no excuses.

Legal immigrants who come to our borders to request asylum or permission to enter the country and immediately follow a path to assimilated citizenship are welcome to join the republic, subject to all its rules and regulations, and become members of its communities and variety of cultures. They are not welcome to come here with the intention and purpose to subvert our laws, interfere with the long-established system of law-making and enforcement, or attempt to establish a parallel governing authority. By all means and devices, Congress should enact specific laws to prevent certain immigrants from ever being elected or appointed to offices of public service or responsibility.

If the Muslims in Texas and all other states do not want to abide by OUR laws then they need to return to their own country. A key reason to come here is to ASSIMILATE, not change our country to their hell hole they come from

See what education the electorate can do. An informed voter is an asset to the country. The democrats are making Iran out as loving peaceful nation that didn’t attack America. What about the hostages in 1979 or the Marines in Beirut. Or the attacks on Syria and the wars on Israel all coming from Iran. But no now they are against it because it was Trump who had the guts to take on Iran and help the Iranian people gain freedom from Tyranny. They were appeasers and gave them billions of dollars which ended up killing many Jews and American citizens as well as taking Americans as hostages on October 7th. Which the democrats also supported. Remember the universities demonstrating against Israel with the monetary backing of Soros. Of course all these dem senators have to support that rhetoric otherwise they won’t be getting any stipends from Soros. They want to help this country they say, but, and that is a big but, what is Trump’s end game. None of your business. He is not going to tell you like he didn’t tell you how and when he was going in till the moment of attack. No military general is going to tell his opponent in war his plan or tactics. That is what is wrong in America. The democrats have created a no trust Trump scenario and they can’t very well now support Trump. Only their rhetoric is weak, nonsense and mostly laughable if it wasn’t such a serious subject they are talking about. But when you have dem leaders with no brain matter from Supreme Court judges on down. To senators who think they would be better being in charge. And don’t forget the leaders in the House on the left. You know the handsitters. Who are only pro illegals, criminals and call anyone with a different point of view domestic terrorists. And let’s not forget the Legacy media propaganda heads. They are making millions of dollars with their contrary opinions. All to destroy this country and one man, President Trump.

As long as we permit Muslims to reside in this country, there will be some form of Sharia! When you say that you are a Muslim, that says it all to me. I regard them as unholy, ungodly, uncivilized and noncompatible with the US!

It seems so obvious to me, that this muslim community does not want to integrate into the American ways. Why would you leave a system that you love, and come to a country that has already established its constitution? Give them their eviction notices I say!

Iran is a prime example of Radical Religious Cleric Actions and Sharia Law is exclusively Islam; does this explain a number of things to you???
—obsession for a nuclear bomb to kill America / Isreal / all other religions
—the subservience and suppression of women
—the government LOCKED to radical Clerics, no free vote
—disarmed people to suppress and control them

Thank you Jesus for overwhelming support of BANNING Sharia law. It has no place in a country that stands up FOR Constitutional Law! There is no reason for these people to come here if they will not assimilate, they don’t belong in the US to subvert our constitution.

Each state has its own individual constitution or similar document, The understanding of “separation of church and state” is the same as held by the First Amendment of our Constitution nationally.

That worded statement isn’t written in the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence, or any founding document. Thomas Jefferson used the metaphor of a “wall of separation between Church & State” to describe the intent of the First Amendment. In a 1947 case before the Supreme Court, the judges adopted the phrase to interpret the ‘Establishment Clause’.

Yeh, America, and President Trump have more than their share, of troublemakers, and yet OUR,
USA of America put a man on the moon!

All of our Presidents had to face problems.
Our USA of American Women, and mothers, gave up Their wedding bands, to send our troops over to clean up Hitler.
Lincoln proclaimed a very rough civil war to straighten out things within the states, that provided the knowledge of the severe cost, of keeping our USA of America in order, forever more.
So many lessons and rewards for the USA have the right to say, “Already Been There, Done That”

Quite a production of so much living within her 250th Birthday to recapture!
Trump is trying to hold on the vision of letting her shine with pride from so many experiences of everything we did stand for.
And now, our soldiers are again trying to help, for the benefit of future generations, in hopes, they too, will have their chance to look back and whisper in return,
God Has Blessed Our USA.

I am a RINO & I support Texas in stopping Sharia law to rule in the Lone Star State. And I would hope that all other states will not allow muslin cities to grow & thrive Sharia laws. All women in the USA should be treated equal & with respect and Sharia is barbaric in treatment of women in their society. Stop Sharia before it gains another inch of land in United States of America.

It is looking that President is beginning a shift to the left.
He has stated he would endorse a Texas Senate Candidate soon and ask the candidate he doesn’t endorse to drop out.
This removes freedom of choice. I will not be giving gun grabbing Cornyn my vote. His phones were never answered or emails responded to during his push for the gun grab. I could not register my opinion to a United States Senator. We have spent so much time trying to snuff out boys pretending to be girls, why do we need a Democrat pretending to be a Republican. If my choice is eliminated in May I may as well vote for the true Democrat in November. I don’t like my choices forced on me no matter how many billions you have.
Ross Perot interfered and gave the Clinton’s the White House twice. If you don’t believe me look up Clinton’s actual numbers.

Is there such a thing as peaceful Muslims??? We must always understand what Yusama Dakdok has repeatedly and knowingly stated: Muslims in America are NOT here to peacefully assimilate; they are here to takeover as they have done for centuries around the world. This is what THEIR “holy book” demands of them. This is a militant “religion” seeking to convert Americans to Islam and our laws must be ignored and sharia will rule.

Don’t know if you folks are aware, but in Calif (specifically Cypress, CA), a recent COSTCO ad seemed to proudly boast a full line (or at least a wide variety, I can’t remember) of “halal” products. I was surprised in reviewing the COSTCO website that the offered halal products cover so very much more than just food items. However, sharia law creep into America would be less of a concern if certain dietary requirements could not be so easily met. I would expect that my local COSTCO is not an isolated example and that most if not all COSTCO stores maintain such an inventory.
