H.R. 3535 – AMAC Joines Coalition to Oppose the Deceptive Advancing America’s Interest Act
This bill adds significant hurdles to the ability of the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) to prevent products that infringe U.S. intellectual property (IP) rights from being imported into the United States. For more than a decade, Big Tech companies have advocated for this bill because it makes it easier for them to keep their manufacturing supply chains in China rather than the United States. Making it easier for companies to import from China products that infringe U.S. intellectual property is the self-inflicted weakening of our innovative edge. We urge Congress to oppose this bill. IL HB 5195 – AMAC Supports Bill to Ban Ranked Choice Voting in Illinois
Ranked-choice voting (RCV) forces voters to choose multiple candidates, including some for whom they have little information, creating confusion. If voters do not rank all candidates, then their ballot is thrown out, disenfranchising their vote. The RCV model can be especially difficult for senior Americans who have spent more than 30 years using the simple and effective one-person, one-vote system. Read AMAC Action’s letter of support.
OH SB 215 – AMAC Supports Bill to Keep Foreign Money Out of Ohio Elections
It is a direct assault on the sovereignty of our nation to allow foreign agents of any kind to use financial contributions to influence national, state, county, or local politics. In the final tally of votes on a measure, this kind of manipulation conflicts with the will of the people and allows those without the best interest of our Nation and individual States to exploit our future for their needs while denigrating the primacy of our citizens. Keep foreign money out of Ohio’s elections! Read AMAC Action’s letter of support.
TN HB 2936 and SB 2749 – AMAC Supports Tennessee Parental Rights Bill
This bill empowers parental rights and provides much needed clarity for families who experience interference with the parent-child relationship by a teacher or other government employee. The legislation effectively does four things: 1. Defines the right of parents as fundamental; 2. Subjects government action that burdens this right of parents to the toughest level of review in American law; 3. Prohibits health care providers from administering care to minors without parental consent; 4. Provides a legal remedy to parents when the law is broken. The language for HB 2936 was carefully written and reflects language that has already been tested in court and passed into law in 17 other states. The bill recently passed out of the Children and Family Affairs Subcommittee and AMAC Action will continue with our efforts to convince Tennessee lawmakers to pass this important measure. Quote of the Week
“I see America, not in the setting sun of a black night of despair ahead of us, I see America in the crimson light of a rising sun fresh from the burning, creative hand of God. I see great days ahead, great days possible to men and women of will and vision.”
– Carl Sandburg

The letter Bob Carlstrom sent to Representative Brad Halbrook ( Illinois ) is very good. The Rank Choise Voting issue could be described in a few ways – maybe twisted as corkscrew would be appropriate. Intelligent, clear thinking , intelligent ,clear communication is what is needed , not the convoluted stuff that makes up the rank choice voting . Praise for Bob Carlstrom for advancing Ethical, sensible thought , and praise for everyone at AMAC Action for all the good work you do. In the spirit of Faith, Family and Freedom.
All the above seem good & right. When I read 1 re: foreign money into Ohio made me think of Scripture “like” You shall NOT accept a gift = bribe . . . . Bribes usually prevent people from thinking clearly, WITHOUT “prejudice”. I like Carl Sandburg quote. I appreciate all AMAC does! God Bless you all!
