AMAC Exclusive – By Seamus Brennan
For decades, in the eyes of many conservatives, establishment Republican candidates and officeholders have remained steadfastly beholden to their own political fortunes and outdated dogmas at the expense of the needs and values of the Americans they have claimed to represent. But with the rise of the Tea Party—and later the ascendancy of President Donald Trump’s America First agenda—that all started to change. Among the most notable Republicans who have bucked this establishment are Senators Josh Hawley (R-MO), Tom Cotton (R-AR), Ron Johnson (R-WI), and Rand Paul (R-KY). These senators, and others like them, represent a GOP grounded in courage, principle, and public service—all attributes that conservatives are hopeful their party will embrace in 2022.
Since he was elected to the Senate in 2018, Josh Hawley has consistently stood on the front lines of some of the most contentious cultural and political disputes of the last several years and has repeatedly made clear that he understands the stakes of the present moment. “For years the politics of both left and right have been informed by a political consensus that reflects the interests not of the American middle, but of a powerful upper class and their cosmopolitan priorities,” Hawley remarked at the 2019 National Conservatism Conference.
Hawley’s chief legislative priority throughout his time in the Senate has been breaking up Big Tech giants. In Hawley’s view, these Big Tech behemoths have been granted permission by “Washington politicians” to “censor political opinions they don’t agree with and shut out competitors who offer consumers an alternative to the status quo.”
Hawley has also been forthright about his disappointment with ostensibly conservative members of the Supreme Court when they fail to abide by the constitutional principles they vowed to uphold. Following the Court’s controversial Bostock v. Clayton County decision, for instance, in which the Court bizarrely held that “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” were protected classes under the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (even though the law itself made no mention of such characteristics), Hawley took to the Senate floor to denounce the decision as “the end of the conservative legal movement”—signaling a significant break with other Republican members who instead opted to remain silent on the matter.
Hawley’s colleague Tom Cotton, who has served as the junior senator from Arkansas since 2014, has similarly been a fierce advocate for a more assertive Republican Party that knows how to effectively take the offensive. “We’re the party of the common man, the worker, the farmer, the cop on the beat,” Cotton recently said at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. “Unlike Democrats, we remember the forgotten man.”
During the riot-filled summer of 2020, when so-called “moderate” Republicans like Senator Mitt Romney of Utah were seen proudly linking arms and marching with supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement (which had played a role in tormenting America’s cities with looting and arson for weeks on end), Cotton took to the pages of the New York Times to publish a strongly-worded op-ed calling for a restoration of law and order. In the op-ed, Cotton called for “send[ing] in the troops,” even if “many politicians prefer to wring their hands while the country burns.”
Predictably, the op-ed earned Cotton an endless flood of vitriol from the political left and the media class: as a result of the left’s uproar, the Times eventually added an editors’ note at the front of the article, which claimed the piece “should not have been published.”
Some longer-serving members of the Senate have also become forceful leaders of the modern conservative movement in recent years. Ron Johnson, the senior senator from Wisconsin, and Rand Paul, the junior senator from Kentucky—both of whom have served since 2011—have been strong Republican voices against draconian COVID-19 mandates and Dr. Anthony Fauci’s domineering role in the federal government’s COVID response.
Johnson was among the first in Congress to demand answers on the origins of COVID. He was consequently dismissed by the New York Times as a “foremost amplifier of conspiracy theories and disinformation” for suggesting the virus originated in a Chinese lab—even though, of course, such “conspiracy theories and disinformation” have since turned out to be not only plausible, but likely. Rare was the Republican who backed Senator Johnson, even once it became clear that China was hiding something about the origins of the virus. The Wisconsin Republican has established himself as a fighter—less flashy than some of his colleagues, but one who has earned the respect and gratitude of conservatives everywhere.
Similar to Johnson’s courage on COVID, Rand Paul—himself a licensed physician—introduced legislation to repeal Washington, D.C.’s vaccine mandates and has repeatedly clashed with Fauci during committee hearings, indicating loudly and clearly that he will not kowtow to, in his words, the “unscientific” and capricious rules promulgated by Fauci and other unelected medical bureaucrats. Johnson and Paul have also taken the lead on holding Biden accountable by launching investigations into the Biden family’s foreign connections and being some of the most vocal opponents of the administration’s progressive agenda.
Ultimately, Republicans like Senators Hawley, Cotton, Johnson, and Paul are slowly but successfully leading the Senate out of the establishment mold that has for too long hindered the party’s ability to effectively represent its constituents. And so far, a handful of promising Republican candidates for Congress like Blake Masters (Arizona), J.D. Vance (Ohio), and Joe Kent (Washington) have embraced this model of conservatism. If recent polling of these candidates and others like them is any indication, it may soon be that an America First platform is the rule, rather than the exception, for elected Republicans.

This is good news. I just hope and pray that we get others on board that have the same ideas. I wish Congress would listen to the people, instead of thinking on what we want and need. It’s high time we fight for what we have left.
I am fearful they are too late. I pray that’s not the case, and I support them to the fullest. I hope that all who follow this thread will become politically active and work to elect like minded candidates.
“One of the penalties of refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.”

I’d like to believe that most elected politicians at all levels start out to serve their constituents best interest and get corrupted by the swamp and dirty money. However there many that get into politics because they know they can enrich themselves and there families. Just look a Joey’s track record in 50 plus years in Washington D.C.. I don’t think he’s ever had anyone’s best interests as his priority, just his families!
Great read but the statement halfway through the ninth paragraph that begins ‘Rare was the Republican…’ (referring to Ron Johnson’s questioning on COVID) is truly troubling and—along with the example of Mittens Romney & BLM), show the weakness of the DC GOP in general. For years, the LEFT has been at war with anyone who disagrees with them, especially conservatives. However, it is sadly NOT rare for a DC GOP’er to show their utter ignorance of this FACT. Case in point: how many times do you hear a GOP Rep or Senator go on MSM and talk ‘bipartisanship’, or refer to a DC Dem as ‘my colleague’, while the Dems in turn call them or their supporters ‘racists’ or ‘Nazis’?
This is good news and thanks to AMAC for exposing it. Our problems lie with the politics and corruption in DC and at home and there’s a solution. It requires us, we the people, to stand up, show up, and speak up. AMAC Delegates and Chapters Leaders need our help to carry these brave Senators messages to our local members. We need to be active in our state legislatures, school boards and community governments. The United States belongs, first, to the people; we pay for it in Treasure and treasury. God Bless America! Help us return this Nation to God and to the consent of the governed.
I always enjoy these clips of Cotton, Hawley, Cruz, Kennedy, Paul, Johnson and a few others questioning Brandon’s groups of freaks and nuts that are nominees to courts or positions. I always know that guys like Cotton and Hawley are the smartest guys in the room and the leftist low IQ kooks are made to look like the fools they are. KAG
Alaskans hope to add Kelly Tsibaka to the senate this fall. A major change to Alaska’s election law threatens to make this difficult or impossible. Alaska apparently approved a ranked choice system which means the candidate needs to receive a majority or rearrangement of other candidate’s totals may overwhelm.
It is certainly refreshing, to be sure.
Love Ron Johnson! Loved the Second Opinion on covid and the dangers of the shots. He did an excellent job of bringing together Drs, nurses, people who’s lives had been negatively affected by the shot. 5 hrs but really, really good
Transfer of accurate and honest information is necessary for people to make decisions. When that transfer of information is interrupted, people do not have adequate information. Consequently, people make poor decisions. And, so it has been these last fifteen years or so. The American taxpayer hasn’t had honest or accurate reporting from news media. in the absence of honest and accurate information ignorance WILL rule and fraud WILL become the norm. Ignorant people WILL vote in an ignorant way regardless of their formal education. People like Nancy Pelosi will farm people’s ignorance for money and political power. ‘Career politicians’ like her are liars and care nothing for their country. American taxpayers will never vote their way out of the socialist dystopia that’s coming. Weclome home, Nancy you useless piece of rap.
Until we start electing those who do not fear the media, I’m afraid there is not enough like these to make much of a difference in time. Hope I’m wrong and I won’t quit trying, but we need to clean out the rhino’s along with speaking up ourselves. Too many of us stay quiet when confronted with this leftist insanity. Let’s hope that they are showing the way for others to follow, and while I supported Trump, these four examples are a better way to fight the left and win over more Americans to the adult side.
I’m not going to comment on this article…What I am going to say is that we’re being set up, and it seems like the entire US Government is in on it. I watched this morning on the news where Comrade Joey, or as I’ve started referring to him, Biffie, has released over 83 million barrels of oil from our national strategic reserve to ease the burden of high gasoline prices. The story went on to say that Biffie has ordered an additional one million barrels of oil to be released each and every month unil gas prices subside.
I also read online last night that the US Navy is planning on scrapping twenty four of it’s ships so they can meet Congressional budget requirements. This includes five Missile Cruisers, all eight of it’s newest Freedom Class Littoral Combat Ships, the newest one being only two years old. The Navy said the reason their going to scrap the Littoral Combat Ships is because the transmissions were not syncing up with the engines…REALLY? Then the contractors should be held accountable and required to fix the problem or return the money they’ve taken from the American taxpayers!
I also read where in the past six months the US Air Force has lost in crashes over a dozen fighter aircraft, this includes four F22 Raptors, three F35’s, and host of F15’s and F16’s most, if not all due to maintenance issues of some sort or another. What gives, is the Air Force not training it’s personal anymore?
I read several months ago where the US Marine Corp had gotten rid of all it’s Tank Battalions’ and two of it’s Infantry Battalion’s, along with several of its Air Wings. All in an effort to make the Marine Corp a leaner and more lethal fighting force…Wow! I’m not a military expert, but I would think that downsizing and completely getting rid of all you’re Tanks would not make you a more lethal fighting force, especially when you should be preparing for an adversary such as China.
So let’s do a recap, Biffie has ordered millions of barrels of oil released from the National Strategic Reserve, instead of pumping more of our own oil. The Navy is scrapping twenty four ships, including eight of it’s newest ones, instead of building more and preparing for a conflict with China. The Air Force has dozens of planes literally falling out of the sky, and the Marine Corp is downsizing and becoming LESS lethal. Either I’m completely paranoid or a huge wack-a-doodle, or there’s something to it all. With the Biffie administration doing everything in its power to destroy our Constitution and our way of life, I would say it’s a safe bet that America is being sold down the drain.
How much longer can we continue down this road before we fall? The American people need to wake up before it’s too late!
God help the USA
I agree with this list, but why isn’t Ted Cruz on it? Is it because he isn’t a newcomer, but rather has been fighting the good battle against the Washington establishment and been the target of the swamp for many years?
At last a picture of hope, but must maintain a wait and see attitude.
WE SHOULD BE THANKING ALMIGHTY GOD FOR THOSE MENTIONED ABOVE, HAWLEY, COTTON, PAUL AND JOHNSON – THEY ARE OUR ONLY HOPE TO BEAT THIS EFFORT LED BY BIDEN TO TAKE DOWN AMERICA AND OUR CONSTITUTION. THANK YOU.
IMHO: These Senators are on the right track and should be supported. Josh Hawley happens to be my Senator and I support him all I can. It is a very difficult job trying to find, and lead, through the Mass Formation Psychosis (mass hypnosis, brainwashing, brain fog) being espoused by the Democrat Extremist Elites. Parents; Google up “Out of the Shadows” if you would like to see how Hollywood has promoted, and is still, promoting this NWO or Great Reset pipe-dream (don’t watch it with children under 18 in the room),
Originally, I was ignorant and thought of Romney as being a man of fairness and reason. However, now, I am very aware of his history of being weak and manipulative. I’m not sure if Romney was always more of a politician than a man of honor; however, I am certain that Romney is no longer good for the Republican party. I still clearly remember how Romney didn’t stand up against Obama’s flagrant lies when they had their big presidential debate. I actually felt sick to my stomach that Romney seemed incapable of showing strength of courage and convictions. Had Romney stood up to Obama, I actually feel that Obama could have been limited to one term as president. We do have a few Republican national leaders who are true conservative statesmen, but we need more. Even with the left wing press in control of our media, more Republicans can still help the American people by being more vocal and patriotic.
Correction: It is “Out of Shadows” and link is outofshadows.org/.
We need more in Congress like Paul, Cawley, Cotton and much less, preferably none, like Mitt, the hypocrite and McConnell.
good article
W need more “fire eaters” on our side. Folks like Mittens and The Turtle are useless. Rubio isn’t far behind. So we count 4 out of 50. Can we add 10 more? Maybe others will get off of the backsides and be useful.
we need more republicans like those mentioned to really turn the tide, but in all fairness trump got the ball rolling. now let’s stomp them into oblivion.
Marsha Blackburn is a Senator representing Tennessee, & she should be included in this group of Senators.
More good Republicans in the Senate and more in the House to hush the Squad and maybe censure a couple of them.
Here is a great idea. Everyone attend debates of all candidates and ask them for their Business Plan! If they say they don’t have one, then tell them that talk is cheap.
A Business Plan should have several items:
1. What they plan to do.
They should have several business plans for seperate agendas. A business plan on education, one for crime, one for taxes, one for…etc…
2. How they plan to acommplish their goal.
It should be detailed as to how they are going to reach this goal.
3. Who supports their agenda.
Do a majority of citizens and other
Government officials support the plan.
4. How much is it going to cost or save the citizens.
Detailed summary as to where the money is going to come from for each agenda. Will it save the citizens money?
5. How long will it take to accomplish each goal?
A time frame as to whether it will take a few months, or 15 years. We were promised a hospital in my county over 10 years ago. We the people voted for it by paying taxes. 10 years have come and gone and still no hospital.
6. All candididates running for office should have their business plans posted on the secretary of state web site so that everyone can have access to all the candidates points of view. They should all be submitted on day one, and posted on day two of being submitted. Only one day to submit the business plan so other candidates do not plagiarize other candidates ideas.
Candidates won’t be able to say one thing, do another, and blame the citizens because the citizens “misconstrued” their intent.
7. A written Business Plan will hold elected official accountable come the next election cycle.
A good business plan would have the support of most of the citizens. It would also encourage the people to force their elected officials to support such a plan, regardless of their political party affiliation.

I’m happy that the author of the above article put the names of some worthy Republicans out there for us to be proud of. I keep getting texts, emails and advertising in the mail asking me to support the Republicans, but I remember how they stabbed Donald Trump (and by extension the American people) in the back and completely squandered the opportunity to make America better. I see McConnell cozying up to the Chinese. I see Collins, Murkowski and Romney for the RINOs they are. And it disgusts me. A once proud, righteous party has lost its way and caters to the elites. But a few have the integrity and the courage to stand up for the Constitution and the people and I am glad to see those honorable people recognized.
Isn’t it time that patriots drop the designation CONSERVATIVE from their branding? True so-called conservatives embrace the RADICAL belief that the government serves the people, not visa versa. On the other hand, Democrats embrace the brand PROGRESSIVE, a much more positive sounding term, indicating someone who is enlightened. CONSERVATIVE, in my opinion, is a negative term signifying someone woefully out-of-style and out-of-touch. Perception is vital to the message being delivered for public consumption.
Totally agree with the stance on these four Senators. They never waver from their, our beliefs. It’s just common sense because they stay firm and fight!
Its about time the Republicans began to fight back!
Republicans stand firm together, don’t let the communist democrat party spread you and start internal fighting. You can win mid terms IF you stand as a party for the people
I have a unique idea! What if the voters started voting for candidates based on their fruit instead of “promises “? “You will know them by the fruit they bare”. How many times have you heard someone say” I like what they are saying “ only find after they were elected it was hot air? Don’t know if voters will ever learn. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge “.
Candidates running …J.D. Vance second choice. Josh Mandel 1st. Choice. Please, Ohio people…DO NOT vote for Renacci….Heritage had him at D when he was in Congress. I tried asking him a question at local Fair and he treated me with disdain…think he rather not deal with women!! Just informing facts here.Wish we had more Republicans who stood with great senators like Hawley and Rand for example. Start researching before you vote. Watching debates, yes, can be boring, but sure are telling!!!!!!!
Hurrah for these guys! It’s about time…God bless and protect them.
Good read
America First should ALWAYS be the major factor in any laws or policies.
EVERYONE in Washington works FOR the Legal Citizens of Our Country!
Nothing takes precedence over that!
I notice all of those are males. They deserve the accolade you have bestowed. However, Marjorie Taylor Greene has also distinguished herself in the short time she had been in office. I would add her to the list.
The run of the mill politician today have bestowed unto themselves authority, power and control over free individual’s LIVES that they DO NOT have. Most of these immoral freaks are more concerned about our genitals and sexual orientation that what’s virtues and noble!
With regard to working for their constituents, how much work did the Dems do for their constituents during the (2) impeachments, the Mueller investigation, the Kavanaugh hearings and now the “Jan.6th commission” when they spent every waking minute researching and executing these sham charades?
These guys won’t change a thing. DNC is every bit like CCP (Chinese Communist China). They care NOTHING for life unless it benefits them personally. They have become inherently evil. Cheating has become an integral part of how they exist. They’ll do ANYTHING to win: kill, cheat, steal. . .ANYTHING to destroy what’s good and right. Meanwhile, conservatives will continue to function by the rules of the Constitution. DNC and CCP have used, (and will continue to use) that very character to defeat every conservative value until all that’s left are two classes of people: wealthy/privileged and poor. The American taxpayer needs to learn what poverty actually is because it’s just around the bend. Joe Biden doesn’t know where he is most of the time but this is exactly the kind of America people like Nancy Pelosi want.
1-5-17 was the REAL insurrection
There are many junior politicians (many are women) that are leading the charge toward freedom in our government and have the courage to take a stand. Unfortunately, the socialists and the media continue their attacks to demonize and destroy them. After November, things will change as many socialist democrats will be sent packing. The swamp must be continuously drained. NO politician should be voted in for life. There is hope! At least for now.
We definitely need more like these men! It’s about time our Senators and Representatives stood up for our country and the normal American citizen and legal resident!
Sure admire their courage. This November, we need to be very careful to vote for our representatives who really have the energy to fight for the America we all loved. The RINOS need to retire.
Before pulling that voting lever, do your research. Read their writings. Determine what their party is, so we never get another fug like barack who came out of Chicago’s Communist Party.
VOTE SMARTER
Vote conservative.
