Efforts to cover up or deflect attention from the U.S.-Mexico border crisis have failed, as nightly visual evidence of the chaos, suffering, and despair of this crisis can be seen on TV by millions of Americans across the nation. An article from Imprimis, a monthly publication of Hillsdale College in Michigan, recently authoritatively outlined the details of this crisis.
Over the years, Hillsdale College has become one of the nation’s finest institutions of higher learning, especially so when many “big name” colleges and universities have become, particularly in their undergraduate programs, overrun by “politically correct” and “radical woke” values. Hillsdale takes no federal subsidies and is free to offer its students an outstanding education with a top teaching faculty in a distinguished conservative tradition. In addition to its faculty, Hillsdale hosts regular in-person presentations by America’s leading philosophers, journalists, and current and past public officials. Imprimis regularly publishes condensed or adapted versions of these speeches.
In July of this year, Mark Morgan spoke at Hillsdale in a talk entitled, “On the Disaster at Our Southern Border.” The talk was adapted for a recent Imprimis article, which is free to all readers. (Probably many AMAC members already subscribe.)
What makes Morgan’s article so authoritative are his credentials. He was chief of U.S. Border Patrol during the Obama administration, Acting Commissioner of U.S. Customs and border Protection, and Acting Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during the Trump administration. A Marine veteran, former officer in the LAPD, with 20 years of service in the FBI, including a stint as Assistant Director of the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, he was also deputy on-scene commander in Baghdad, Iraq. He also has a J.D. from the University of Missouri.
Here are some of his main points from that talk.
Morgan stated that he believes that the Biden administration has “methodically” and “intentionally” created a disaster at the southern U.S. border by undoing the meaningful border security measures which had been put in place under prior administrations, including the effective shut-down of ICE, failing to prevent unlawful entries into the U.S., ending a successful border wall program and the Remain in Mexico program (thus returning to the old and failed “catch and release” policy), and suspending the Asylum Cooperative Agreements with Central American countries for genuine asylum seekers. (Wishing to improve one’s economic status is not legally grounds for seeking asylum).
Morgan contends that the sudden and unacceptable surge of those attempting illegally to enter the U.S. at its southern border is a result of the Biden administration’s actions and policies, which amount to “open borders.” He says that the Biden administration’s claim that they are seeking to address the “root causes” of the immigrant surge is “bunk” — pointing out that the “real root cause” is the Biden catch-and-release open door incentive.
Morgan held key border control positions in both the Obama and Trump administrations. He quotes Senator Barack Obama who said in 2005, “We simply cannot allow people to pour into the country undetected, undocumented, unchecked, and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently and lawfully to become immigrants in this country.” He also quotes Senator Chuck Schumer and Senator Joe Biden strongly condemning illegal immigration.
Morgan and many others have also commented on the potential of criminal elements and unvaccinated health risks posed by those entering the U.S. under the Biden administration open borders policy. In fact, a barrage of voices, from political leaders to ordinary citizens, are exclaiming their alarm about the threat of the flood of undocumented immigrants invading the U.S. via its border with Mexico.
Some Biden critics suggest that his and other Democrats’ motives for unlimited immigration is their ambition to add to their voter base. Most Biden advocates say they simply don’t believe in national borders. But the latter don’t seem to have a credible explanation for the problematic European experience recently with no-border immigration.
Perhaps Morgan’s closing words are the best rejoinder to Mr. Biden and his fellow open border advocates: “A country that cannot control its borders is not a country, and I’m sad to say that we are facing that eventuality.”
This crisis not going away any time soon. The Biden policies are very unpopular with voters, and could cost the Democrats dearly in next year’s elections.
Unless we can dismantle the cheating apparatus put in place by the democrats, I WONDER If WE CAN FIX THIS WITH AN ELECTION?
Of course the open border policy is intentional. The Democrats look at illegals as the new, ignorant and easily managed voter base for the party going forward. They are already used to living in socialistic societies and will be happy with the crumbs a Democrat administration will sprinkle on them. The Biden administration is sending these illegals to every state in the country, with the expressed goal of ensuring Democrat wins in 2022 and beyond.
By the end of this year, we will have allowed over 2 million new illegals into the country. By the time the 2022 elections roll around, there will be a total of 4 million new illegals in this country. Added to the existing 40 million illegals already here (federal numbers based on year 2019), that gives them 44 million new illegal votes being cast in the 2022 mid terms. They have been targeting red states like Texas, Florida and others will an overwhelming number of these illegals. All with the express purpose of turning those states first purple and then solid blue in a few short years. While we continue to talk, the Democrats “do”. This has been going on for decades. Which is why we now have the situation in which we find ourselves.
Biden is intentionally creating this crisis. He should be impeached. Unfortunately, many Americans don’t seem to care.
Everything the Democrats are doing is intentional. They are destroying this country.They want a One World Order.
Not only is Biden ignoring the effect that his open boarder policy is having on our country, what he is doing is unethical. Our tax dollars once again are being hit up to pay for the needs of these illegal people in our country. Now HE is sneaking these illegal people quietly into our neighborhoods. We don’t know anything about them, they are probably totally unveted, sick and no doubt many are criminals. There has got to be a way to stop this president from ruining our country as we once knew it. I personally believe that a great deal of damage has already been done to ever go back to being the great nation we once were. This president is a 100% loser! On that day he issued an executive order to rescind President Trump’s agreement with South American countries regarding illegal entry into our country. Biden’s issuance of that EO led directly to the major crisis we now have on our Mexican border and he and his puppeteers refuse to own up to it! I believe the Biden administration to be one of the worst, if not the worst, we’ve ever seen!!!

I think “Win Beyond the Cheat” would be safe slogan which states the problem and its solution. But in today’s cancel culture canceling the 1st amendment makes any campaign that urges America’s course correction is probably dangerous. Just about every AMAC article I read keeps talking about the upcoming elections and how the Dems are making a big mistake. Well if half of all the immigrants illegally crossing our southern border vote Demoncrat, it won’t be that big of a mistake. The Dems will keep their power and continue to destroy this country.

The contents of this article should come as no surprise to anyone with an open mind, regardless of political affiliation. The border decisions are a disaster! YET they also should not be taken in isolation from other Biden Administration actions, inactions and policies.
It is my opinion, that our president is acting as an agent of a foreign government, in response to the millions if not billions of dollars gifted to his son Hunter. Decisions on oil pipelines and related issues in the energy field alone are definitely “aid and comfort” to our global enemies. The abandonment of new military technology in Afghanistan is “aid and comfort” to China — the coincidental source of much of the Biden family wealth I believe.
I could go on and on for a very long time.
Our president is corrupt to his core. His vice president is vastly unable to function in her office. The Speaker of the House is supportive of these various actions and policies that hurt the country so much without any redeeming social benefits whatsoever. Let us not forget that the Democrat Party and Hillary Clinton’s campaign BOUGHT AND PAID FOR the bogus Steele dossier that caused so much trouble before it was PROVEN to be a fabrication. The solution is to flip the House next year, reinforce the Senate and impeach these incompetent individuals. The next Speaker of the House will be a Republican if enough people wake up to what is being done to kill our democratic-republic. Heaven willing, THAT can restore a Republican administration that hopefully will be far more selective of appropriate agency heads than the Trump administration was. “Heads should roll” as they say.

We need extensive planning and arousal of competent persons to place in the various Cabinet and other agencies to restore our traditional form of government. Frankly, I think the only reason he is still alive is that Harris is next in line.

But in modern times, it is a lurking danger to the security and functioning of a Democratic Constitutional Governance. If our government doesn’t put a hard stop to this and start sending them back to where they ENTERED from, we will soon be a Communist run Nation. This is not the 19th century or even the early 20th century when immigration strengthened the Nation. Focus on the Covid crisis is the smoke screen to what is happening on the boarder.
