AMAC Exclusive – By Seamus Brennan

Trump

In an hour-long speech from the ballroom of his stately Mar-a-Lago residence, Donald Trump invoked the optics of his 2016 campaign launch and formally announced his comeback candidacy for the White House in 2024.

“In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for President of the United States,” Trump said in the long-anticipated remarks. “This will not be my campaign. This will be our campaign. This is a task for a great movement. This is not for any one individual. This is a job for tens of thousands of people working together.”

After months of publicly teasing another run for the presidency, Trump’s announcement comes at a time when the GOP establishment and mainstream media apparatus—not unlike the early days of his 2016 campaign—are again actively working to tarnish his political profile and force him to exit the political stage. Yet, with his Tuesday night announcement, Trump has once again outwitted his media foes, shifted the momentum in his favor, and revealed the extraordinary extent to which the American media has lost its credibility as a prime mover in American politics.

In his remarks, Trump revisited the litany of successes of his first term—including a historically strong economy, strong border security measures, energy independence, and a renewed position of strength in international affairs—nearly all of which have been reversed by the Biden administration in its first two years. “We are a nation in decline. We are a failing nation for millions of Americans,” Trump said.

In addition to laying out the accomplishments of his first four years in office, Trump presented a clear and compelling vision for a second term—including novel policy ideas like imposing congressional term limits, banning the taxpayer funding of campaigns, returning to only paper ballots in elections, instituting the death penalty for drug dealers, rehiring servicemembers who were fired for refusing to take the COVID vaccine, and clamping down on the teaching of Critical Race Theory in schools.

“This campaign will be about issues, vision and success, and we will not stop, we will not quit, until we’ve achieved the highest goals and made our country greater than it has ever been before,” he continued. “I am running because I believe the world has not yet seen the true glory of what this nation can be. We have not reached that pinnacle, believe it or not.”

Trump’s announcement notably came just days after the 2022 midterm elections, after which many establishment figures on the right—in conjunction with many members of the media—baselessly blamed Trump for the Republican Party’s worse-than-expected performances. But the GOP consulting class’s opposition to a Trump 2024 run thus far appears overwhelmingly similar to their hostility toward Trump’s 2016 campaign—and reiterates that Washington, D.C. Republican elites still largely fail to understand the conditions that led to Trump’s rise and the reasons for his enduring political strength.

In reality, by hysterically insisting that Trump is “finally finished” and that Republicans are “done” with him, these media and establishment figures are creating precisely the same conditions that allowed Trump to dominate the 2016 GOP primary field and win the White House as an underdog. Trump is—and always has been—the anti-establishment candidate, and ironically, few entities are now doing more to bolster his campaign than the same establishment figures, organizations, and movements ostensibly committed to ensuring his political demise.

“As I promised in 2016, I am your voice,” Trump said on Tuesday in his engaging and thoughtful remarks. “The Washington establishment wants to silence us, but we will not let them do that. What we have built together over the past six years is the greatest movement in history, because it is not about politics—it’s about our love for this great country.”

Just as he did when he came down the golden escalator in Trump Tower in June of 2015, Trump is all but guaranteed to face a relentless wave of opposition and vitriol from forces that will do everything in their power to preserve the political status quo and prevent Trump from returning to office. But unlike the first time he ran for office, Trump has now succeeded in shattering the globalist political paradigm and in fundamentally shifting the American political landscape in ways that will be difficult to reverse. And as the past six years have shown, no matter how desperately the media wants to take him down, Donald Trump is not going anywhere.

As President Trump says: “He is OUR voice!” . . . No other political candidate looks to serve the people! They ALL look to “represent” the people but they serve themselves first. That’s why I like him because He does serve America AND the People first!

President Trump announced that he will run again for President and that’s fine with me , but HERES THE DEAL, the first candidate that starts trashing the others will be the first candidate that I will scratch off my short list, We need to find the best candidate that is not a RINO, that can be elected without battle wounds, we don’t need a scorched earth, we need to make sure we keep our eye on the prize and defeat Lying Joe Biden.
Tell me what you can do not some trash on your opposition, we don’t need to eat our own!

Just a brief history lesson.

In 2015, FOX News was 100 percent certain Jeb Bush would be the Republican nomineee for POTUS in 2016. Every day and night news shows brought on one commentor after another saying it was a lock for Bush and the rest of the field, no matter who they were, would be gone in a few months. It didn’t quite work out that way. The management of FOX News and the WSJ were NOT happy.

In 2020, the FOX News moderator Chris Wallace was as combative with Donald Trump and supportive of Joe Biden during the debates as any of the other MSM moderators. The topics and tone of the debates were designed to pitch softballs to Biden and keep Trump from addressing more important issues. It was an interesting and telling display of where FOX corporation, which many seem to think is “conservative” and the Murdocks stood politically and it wasn’t for constitutionally conservative values or even “fair and balanced” discussions.

Fast forward to today. FOX News is literally pushing one potential candidate for POTUS, who hasn’t declared yet but I expect will do so within a month or two. Paul Ryan, yes that Paul Ryan who has been on FOX’s Board of Directors since James and Lachlan Murdock took over FOX and the WSJ from their father Rupert years ago, has already held meetings with Ron DeSantis. So it is clear the Murdock family has already picked their choice for 2024 and it is reflected in their news coverage during every segment. Nothing wrong with FOX picking a candidate they favor, as long as they fully disclose that and make it perfectly clear to their viewers that their on-air coverage and commentary reflects that choice.

I’m all for Ron DeSantis or anyone else interested in running in 2024. I expect we’ll have somewhere between 10 and 15 declared candidates on the Republican side before we’re done. Everyone should be allowed to make their case to the people about what they would do for the country to make things better in specific terms. Vague generalities won’t cut it. We clearly are declining as a country with Team Biden and the Democrats at the wheel. In 2 more years with Joe at the wheel, this country will be in very bad shape on so many levels. I’m hopeful that everyone that will be running for POTUS will lay out as many specifics on everything they hope to accomplish. All so people can hopefully make an informed decision. This is NOT a personality contest nor a “who looks most presidential” contest. That is how you select a class president. That is how we end up with a dementia patient occupying the White House and people wondering why everything has gone to sh*t. A fully informed and educated public is what a free representative republic needs to survive and what our country is supposed to be all about. The open and honest exchange of ideas, so people can make intelligent, not emotional choices.

Inspiring speech as always from President Trump! There will be other good candidates in time, but the fact is no one else will have done the job. He did an outstanding job before and would have done it again if it were not for cheating in the last election. That being said, I will support the person who ends up getting the GOP nomination.

How can Trump (or a similar non-GOP-establishment, non-leftist) stand any chance at being elected if the elections are STILL NOT SECURED? There’s been two rigged elections in a row and no one with appropriate authority and jurisdiction has so much as batted an eye.

Cases that have made it to a court have so far been dismissed on procedural grounds (lack of standing?) and none have bothered to examine any evidence. They won’t touch any glaring problems with a ten-foot pole.

Biden won last time — inexplicably and wholly unbelievably — what’s to stop “The Machine” from insuring another Biden win?

There’s been no high-level “shot-caller” that has paid *ANY* cost for election fraud and they are clearly content to sacrifice a few useful-idiots at the lower, local level.

So again, how does Trump win when the GOP is complicit in allowing elections to remain unsecure?

Exactly WHAT DISINCENTIVES EXIST to anyone thinking of stealing another election? There appear to be none. And after getting away with it scot-free for two elections in a row, I don’t think they care if we know it.

TRUMP (and the nation) MUST FIGURE THIS OUT.

I think Trump was a good POTUS, I voted for him in 2016 and 2020. If he gets the nomination I will vote for him again but i don’t think the RNC will allow this to happen, he has made too many enemies in the republican party. His ego is his handicap, he just doesn’t know when to keep his mouth shut. I truly believe he would still be the president if he hadn’t done the daily Covid briefings. My biggest fear is that he will run as a third party candidate if he does not get the republican nomination, this will split the conservative vote and the democrats will win again. I suspect their leadership was dancing a jig when they heard Trump announced his decision to run again. Best thing that could happen would be Trump endorsing and supporting another candidate if he does not get the nomination but I don’t think his ego will allow that to happen.

My thoughts about Trump are that he wants to save America. Only the American people don’t see it that way. Otherwise the midterms would have been overwhelmingly for the republicans. The democrats have done a good job spreading hatred for Trump and his supporters. They want to annihilate the opposition in the name of democracy. We went through this with Hitler and his fascists in the 1930’s.
Only the academic youth among us have never learned about that. And are voting against everything that is good about America. Teach transgender in school and mutilate children all okay. Spread racisme through CRT even better.
The democrats want power forever and if that means eliminating America and all it stands for so be it.
We are not let by Biden we are led by Klaus Schwab and de Elite of the WEF. They rule the world. And a strong person as Trump has got to go. For he tells the truth. Biden divides the country every day. Firing or arresting those that dare speak up against him. We republicans have to speak up for what happened in WW II will happen again.
First they came for the sick and mentally disturbed. And I did not speak up. Then they came for the gypsies and again I did not say anything. Then they came for the Jews and I kept quiet. Till they came for me and there was no one left to speak up for me. This will happen again. There will be a Third World War. A global government does not work. Every country has its culture. You cannot assimilate various people from various countries to coexist next to one another. There never will be unity. That America a land is of immigrants is because of the freedoms the constitution provides. The democrats are busy to rewrite the constitution or do away with it.
Biden has made a third world country out of America by making patriotism bad for America. Please democrats wake up. Republicans wake up.

Democrats will vilify any candidate the Repubs run, like they did with Trump’s Supreme Court picks. At least we know that Pres Trump can stand up to anything Dems throw at him. I believe Pres Trump was and could again be a great President, and he deserves the opportunity for what he has already done and how hard he works for the USA. However, like several other posters, I will vote for the person who gets the Republican nomination.

Everything that Trump said during his speech is very true and I agree with him 100% but on the other hand we as Christians need to understand we are living in the last days meaning the Antichrist will and is now being aggressive with the Democratic party and some Republicans therefore we need to be aware of the Rapture the Bible talk about.

It is very easy to make a decision on 2024. We have known quantities and unknown quantities.
The best known quantity is Trump. He said this is what I will do. He was voted in and he did what he said he would do.
Why would I want to look for anyone else when Trump already did everything I wanted and now has the motivation to do the most important thing I want – cleaning out the Justice Department and the Deep Sate.
Trump in 2024.

I had read the comments here and I don’t agree with some of them. I truly believe that Pres. Trump loves this country and wants to save it from corrupt and power-hungry individuals. Pres. Trump says what he means and means what he says. His enemies don’t like it and will hone in on what he says by spinning and distorting them. They want to shut him up because he tells the truth. Corruption and power-hungry and to be in control are on both sides of the aisle (the entire Democrat Party and the RINOs in the Republican party). The liberal leftist media is the enemy of the people as they are the bullhorn of the demonic power-hungry and corrupt individuals. They don’t expose what needs to be exposed but instead cover them up. As an example “Biden, Ukraine, Crypto, and pedophiles all connected?” “Basically, it appears that the Biden Administration sent US taxpayer dollars to Ukraine, which sent funds to FTX, which in turn donated the cash back to democrats.” Why don’t we see and hear about this in the liberal leftist MSM? Wake up, people.

The socialist/democrats have finally gotten their dreaded wake up call. He’s back! This time America needs to support him like never before and not let the RINO’s try to destroy a clear victory. DeSantis is good but President Trump knows what to do and how to do it. The next election is ours to win. We cannot be divided. I hope and pray that term limits can become policy and reality. NO ONE needs to go to Washington D.C. for a life long career. The corruption of America is coming to an end. Yes, it will take time but it will come.

We have the tools to make the voting honest it’s convention of states it’s just that the people running it, mark Meckler isn’t using it for the greater of the country. I joined Convention of states in 2020. After the election I talked with my superiors that we needed to work on honest elections for the country instead of term limits and balance budgets. They told me that I was negative and needed to step away. I did just that. I tried to contact Mark Meckler and just gave up in discust because I couldn’t email him. I understand he is a busy man but he has a tool that if they worked it, they could have had honest elections this last midterms. Or at least tried to. I love my country but now we will probably have 2 more years of full speed ahead for the dems and I don’t believe we can stand two more years of this and have a country left. After all Biden has already declared war on the Maga people. I’m a semi fascist and Biden is a liar. Our only hope is God’s help. So pray for his help and President Trump to make peace with Ron DeSantis and unite this country not divide it because we need to all pull together if we want to save this country. If we unite we win if we divide we loose and we are just another 3 rd world communist country and everyone that knows the truth will be dead or in prison..I’m not usually doom and gloom but it’s our own fault. Just look at 2000 mules. And the people that put it out just got out of jail. God bless them and what they did. Open your eyes but I’m afraid it’s too late, even now.

Well, congrats to Trump and his cult I guess, he will most likely be the Republican nominee in ’24. As an independent living in a swing state, I voted for him in 2020. In 2024, I will vote against him. Trump will be the loser twice.

I was willing to look the other way with all the stupid things he was doing before Nov. 2020. But the way he behaved after that, that was it for me. There is no negotiation. Just don’t be surprised when he comes up short again. This time the margin will likely be bigger.

Trump needs to do 2 things to win in 2024. #1 He needs to stick to the points of this message that he gave. #2 He needs to treat his republican rivals with civility. No more name calling and ridiculing. Debate with ideas and facts.
Of course, if the voters aren’t interest in facts then we will get another Biden who will do the thinking for all of us.

Bad news for the Republican Party. He’ll likely split it and even if he gets the nomination, he’ll lose to Biden again, probably even worse than last time. Democrats will paint him the face of the Republican Party, hurting even more Republican candidates across the country. It’ll then take years for the GOP to recover.

As an observer genuinely curious as to why Trump has so much support from many of the people on this forum who seem to embrace America’s values. He’s a draft-dodger, his tax affairs are dubious, by his own recorded comments he’s a sexual predator, prior to needing the vote of the religious right he showed no signs of any Christian faith nor any pro-life views, he was a Democrat for much of his life, he wouldn’t know how to strip down and load a rifle, he’s not self-made as he inherited much of his wealth. As god-fearing American patriots what about him do you like? I get why you dislike the left, but nothing about Trump seems to resonate with your core values or beliefs.

I appreciate AMAC’s support for President Trump, and look forward to more articles about his campaign and his chances of regaining the WH. Of course, is biggest obstacle will be lack of election integrity in key battleground states. Not much has changed in the last two years, as we see in AZ right now. I also really really hope he doesn’t make the mistake of firing at DeSantis to both their detriments. He can easily beat DeSantis in a primary, in my opinion, but he will hurt himself and the party if he goes after him for no reason. Trump is still the alpha male in this race. Charging after DeSantis will only undermine that fact by making him seem insecure.

Maybe Trump can again weather the minefield of the 2024 primary ( a true warzone) and become the Repub candidate. If he does and the Repub party , Repub “establishment”, Repub members of Congress cannot ALL get behind him, then they ( and we) deserve 4 more years of what Biden has just given us. Its foolish to look for a more moderate approach. Elected moderates do nothing. That’s why they’re moderates.
We are quick to dismiss Trumps “extremism” and tolerate Bidens burn the house down communism.
If we want to preserve our nation, extreme conservatism is the only way to do it. I don’t see a way to accommodate abortionists or those who systematically destroy our children’s education.

The (lie – student loan forgiveness, cheat – ballot harvesting, steal millions – FTX) Dems excel at citizen divide to add political leverage. Trump and DeSantis are now the GOP leading political leverage out of this national hot mess.

Time glides so quickly, it’s easy to foresee 2024 Trump 47/DeSantis VP followed by DeSantis President 2028 and 2032. America First policy ingrained will put the Dems out of business over 12 years.

Former President Trump was a literal ‘Godsend’ in 2016 and turned the country around in so many aspects. However, his meddling in the Wisconsin gubernatorial election with Reince Priebus doomed the state to another 4 years of our present socialist governor. Rebecca Kleefisch was far and away a known and better candidate than Tim Michels.

It seems to me that due to the former president’s and Priebus’s dislike of Rebecca not being all in for Trump in the 2016 run up they supported Michels. This was foolhardy at best and in this case literally backfired. I suspect it did the same elsewhere. The former president’s inability or should we say unwillingness to adapt his presence from ‘New York brash and seemingly arrogant’ to a persona of humility, grandfatherly understanding and compassion was and is not acceptable to many. Many times in discussions with solid conservative and swing voters their concerns and with some discontent in this regard is front and center. I sense this persona has begun to wear on many regardless of his heart for the USA, discernment, understanding of constitutional republican ideology and tremendous business acumen.

I appreciate the former President and all he accomplished as President but nationally I seriously suspect due the midterms “Red Dud” he may have lost some of his base but definitely the swing voters..Pence really as a moderate is worse and would I not support him in the convention nor Trump.

We need solid leadership that is young brilliant and and able to articulate conservative constitutional republican ideology well. I would support and vote for Ron DeSantis in a heartbeat. He is a solid conservative, has the presence of mind, energy and articulates so well. Look what he has done in Florida.

The beauty of Trump’s latest speech is once again he spoke with truth & conviction…Donald J.
