Influential AMAC Action Delegate, Mark Laws delivered a stirring speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, WI showcasing his unwavering dedication to advocating for the rights of senior Americans. His compelling and heartfelt message left a lasting impact on the audience and highlighted the crucial work being done by AMAC Action.

Just after Donald Trump arrived on the convention floor, Law’s opening statement quickly brought a smile to the former president’s face.

“I’m not a senator or a governor or some other politician, [but] I’m just a regular guy. to my grandkids, who call me Pepaw, I’m the guy!”

His lighthearted humor quickly gave way to a powerful and passionate message. Laws dove into the real problems that our country’s Pepaws and Memaws deal with every day. Living on a fixed income under the Biden Administration has turned dollars into nickels for many seniors. Laws painted a vivid picture of the struggles, sharing, “Over 180,000 Michiganders are in tax lien foreclosure. So even those who own their homes still have to pay the government rent, or risk losing their homes.”

As the AMAC Action Delegate for the Michigan chapter, Laws explained that the price of everything has gone up, yet his income stays the same. Bidenflation has stolen the simple joys of life from him—joys like working on his home and spoiling his grandchildren.

“We can’t afford to turn a blind eye to politics, and we need to bring Donald Trump back right now!” he proclaimed to the roaring crowd.

In just over three minutes Laws reminded the packed house of all the issues that senior Americans are facing under the Biden administration – Issues that they did not exist under President Trump.

His speech served as a reminder of the strength of grassroots advocacy, and that anyone’s grandparent can be the catalyst that brings about change in America. Laws’ unwavering commitment to the well-being of seniors and his ability to articulate their concerns makes him a standout figure with AMAC Action.

His speech was not just a call to action; it was a picture of perseverance, resilience, and the undying American spirit.
