On this solemn Memorial Day, Bobby Charles —a former Naval Intelligence Officer, AMAC Spokesman and candidate for Governor of Maine — honors the heroes who gave their lives in defense of our Nation.
In this heartfelt message, Bobby reflects on:
- The legacy of fallen warriors from Maine and across America
- His own service alongside brave men and women in uniform
- The sacred duty of leadership to protect what they died for protecting
As we honor their sacrifice, let us recommit ourselves to the ideals they defended: freedom, justice, and a safer future for all Mainers.
We will never forget. We will never stop fighting for what they died to protect.
Robert Charles is a former Assistant Secretary of State under Colin Powell, former Reagan and Bush 41 White House staffer, attorney, and naval intelligence officer (USNR). He wrote “Narcotics and Terrorism” (2003), “Eagles and Evergreens” (2018), and is National Spokesman for AMAC. Robert Charles has also just released an uplifting new book, “Cherish America: Stories of Courage, Character, and Kindness” (Tower Publishing, 2024).

RBC, thank you for the video. Semper Fi!
Thank you for your service Robert, then and now.
Thank you for your service RBC & thank you for making the commitment to run for governor in the beautiful state of ME…The northeast region could use a good dose of common sense because politically speaking those two simple words are completely missing here in my home state of VT, more of the same in NH,NY, MA, CT & RI…
Bill… :~)
