Fed’s Epiphany: Illegals Taking US Jobs

You don’t say? After three and a half years of open borders, millions of illegals flooding every state – some selling fentanyl, others taking legit jobs from US citizens – we see high crime and pressure on state budgets, but now also higher unemployment among US citizens. Surprise? No.

Last week, we got the true confession – not from Biden, Harris, Mayorkas, or Walz, and not from the pro-Democrat media, or even a Democrat governor, but from the Federal Reserve Chairman.

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said Wednesday that immigration is helping push the unemployment rate higher as they [illegal aliens] enter the labor force and look for jobs.” In other words, Biden-Harris created this higher unemployment, along with inflation and interest.

Asked to explain why job creation numbers are so low, again barely 100,000 per month – never mind inflated last year and just revised downward by 800,000 – he laid his cards on the table.

Unemployment is rising, along with our cost of living, cost of energy, and – until this week – interest rates, which Powell just dropped by half a percent. The situation is termed “alarming.”

In short, what was a dynamic, high-growth, job-creating economy – as late as 2020 – with growth near five percent, inflation one percent, interest close to record lows – is slowing fast.

Continued Powell, in his mystically circumspect way: “On job creation… it depends on the inflows, so if you’re having millions of people come into the labor force, and you’re creating 100,000 jobs, you’re going to see unemployment go up.” Indeed.

He continued: “So it really depends on what’s the trend underlying the volatility of people coming into the country.” Spit it out, Mr. Chairman. Say it like it is, just please stop pretending inflation and unemployment are under control, as you goose the economy this election quarter.

Inflation is three times what it was the day Biden-Harris started. Then at one percent, is at three percent, hit nine percent in August 2022 after radical Biden-Harris energy cuts, overspending, and over-regulation, causing you to raise interest to a 22-year high, which is not doing much.

Let’s talk turkey, put all those cards back on the table for once. The Biden-Harris economic policies, even before her promise of anti-business, neo-Soviet “wage and price controls,” higher taxes, and more hits on fossil fuels, are a disaster, tanking the economy even as you force rates down.

Bottom line: Illegal immigration – with tens of millions here illegally, many committing crimes and taking US citizen jobs – was all invited by Biden-Harris for dependents and Democrat votes.

That plan has damaged the US economy, as it has the nation’s social fabric, sense of security, and public safety. The latest data point is just another the Fed cannot deny – even if Democrats, especially Harris and Walz, refuse to admit it: Illegal aliens are not hurting our public safety, forming gangs, selling drugs, and committing heinous crimes, but taking citizen good jobs, raising US unemployment.

As Powell confessed: “We understand there’s been quite an influx across the borders and that has actually been one of the things that’s allowed the unemployment [rate] to rise…” Well, good of you to notice.

Well RBC,

As a watched Powell’s comments last week, I couldn’t help but notice a slight air of frustration as some of the questions kept returning to the substandard employment numbers and why the Fed opted for a 50-basis point rate cut, if there isn’t a significant problem looming on the horizon. He has a fine line to dance as he tries to both keep his job, protect his legacy and yet NOT publicly acknowledge the reality of why the economy is in the shape it’s in. Remember, aside from Powell himself, the rest of the FOMC is now comprised completely of Democrats. No easy set of contradictory plates to balance in the air.

When he spoke the words in your last paragraph, my sense was he just wanted that line of questioning to stop. The Fed prefers to paint themselves as supposedly neutral and politically agnostic, even if they are not. So, Powell gave the reporters just enough to get them off his back to let him move on to the rest of his prepared remarks. The reality is off course the economy is weakening, if you look at the numbers honestly, and that the level of mass importation of unskilled or completely uneducated illegal immigrants into the country is going to negatively impact a number of aspects of our economy for decades.

There are measures that can be taken by individual citizens ,those who have a sense of responsibility and a true interest in the things mentioned in the article — the Nation’s social fabric, sense of security, and public safety. such as having initiative , starting a business, or if starting. a business is not possible doing things on a independent contract basis. The point is that one of the main reasons for people ,legal American citizens, being displaced has to do with large businesses that will follow trends ,in other words ,do what government tells them to do. Just like with the COVID 19 stuff, so many businesses just did what government told them ,perhaps not always directly but indirectly, it did not matter that much . There was a lack of principle ,a lack of questioning what was being done. and why. ,So it is in the interest of defending freedom to take a stand on conducting business with a sense of honor and integrity , That is what distinguishes the American system from the communist system . And it has no place for compromise..Well done RBC this article is appreciated and the ideas presented should help to set a standard that will bring balance to the economy and develop good character in relation to how people can provide for themselves. With a respect for history and courage . Let Liberty prevail !

Jobs are not the only issue. There is housing, food, med. facilities, schools for kids who are illiterate in their own language ,who will teach them and how Diseases, infections and parasites are not mentioned I am sure there will be another wave of Covid and we all be ordered to wear masks. Madhouse that Biden and Kamala built.

Harris is the picture of dishonesty, hypocrisy, and disloyalty to middle class Americans, who have worked for many years, and have made personal sacrifices for the sake of their loved ones. She wants to flood the market with more illegals, and give incentives (or even pass legislation) to hire them in lieu of more experienced workers. She wants to put those who are more qualified out to pasture.
It’s not about fairness to illegals. It’s about making the middle class in America less wealthy, and, therefore, less politically powerful in winning elections. If they can push enough members of the middle class into lower income brackets by curtailing their opportunities, they will have disabled what remains of our ability to support conservative election campaigns, and to chose who our leaders are… by pushing us out of our jobs, so THEY can rule over us as they please.
