WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, President Trump announced the formation of a new outside government entity named the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), spearheaded by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, dedicated to identifying wasteful spending and expunging it from federal agencies throughout the government. The DOGE’s first task will be to conduct a complete audit of the entire federal government.

Chairman Arrington on President Trump’s Government Efficiency Commission:

“This country desperately needs bold leadership to restore fiscal sanity in our nation’s capital and reverse the curse of a looming debt crisis.

Thankfully, the American people are returning President Donald J. Trump to the Oval Office. I’m thrilled by President Trump’s decision to appoint Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to lead the desperately needed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and look forward to working with them to right-size the bloated bureaucracy and rein-in wasteful Washington spending.

It’s time to go to work and deliver on the mandate from the American people – with help from Elon and Vivek, I like our chances!”

Background:

Republicans must live up to the principle of fiscal responsibility by reining in the waste that is driving both inflation and the nearly $36 trillion in unsustainable debt.

Chairman Arrington became the first sitting Member of Congress to publicly endorse President Trump’s proposed commission. This Congress, the House Budget Committee has worked tirelessly to return transparency, accountability, and responsibility to Washington’s broken budget process.

The DOGE will expose and help rein in areas of waste, fraud, and abuse in government spending.

They should not hesitate to use the three most effective words. You are fired. That should be right across the board Deep cleaning and decluttering.

It’s about time!!! We have all had to tighten our belts in this economy, while the government added more jobs to itself than to any other industry. Why should the government be so large? It will take businessmen like Trump, Vivek, and Elon to straighten out the mess Biden-Harris created. Cuttos to President Trump for having the foresight and vision to establish this new department. And thank God we got Trump back into the White House. I fear what would have become of us, as a nation, had Harris gotten elected.

EVERY REPUBLICAN SENATOR (RINOs INCLUDED) MUST VOTE FOR EVERY TRUMP NOMINEE. THE DEEP STATE MUST BE DESTROYED, THE DC SWAMP DRAINED AND DRIED UP, AND THE CORRRUPT AND SPEND-OHOLIC GOVERNMENT MUST BE REINED IN AND FISCALLY NEUTERED. COMMON SENSE MUST BE THE NEW STANDARD.
TRUMP AND HIS DREAM TEAM OF APPOINTEES CAN AND WILL DO IT – IF ALL SENATE REPUBLICS HAVE THE INTELLIGENCE AND INTESTINAL FORTITUDE TO CONFIRM ALL OF THEM.

Anyone who’s visited Washington, D.C. cannot help but be alarmed by the astounded by the number of Federal buildings being erected. They’re breeding like rabbits. President Trump should halt all Federal construction on his watch, but agree for one additional construction project – a stockade.

All my voting age life, I heard over and over about the bureaucracy in DC. Our government got more and more bloated and we, the people, were paying the price. Constituents all across America complained about this and then the president or Congress would agree; however, precious little was achieved. It cost us a lot to get ‘precious little’ done, too. For me, the economy and big government were my strongest reasons for voting as I did. I left the Democratic party behind years ago because they were, and still are, an echo chamber for themselves. Caring about all Americans is just a catch phrase for them. We’ve needed change for decades. Let’s get the ball rolling with Elon and Vivek. It’s worth a shot and should be fun to watch.

This Department of Government Efficiency should be successful and the idea of promoting responsible thinking should be part of the efficiency plan. Proper management of anything involves good decision making based on Planning, Organization, ,the coordinating of what has been planned and organized in order to Schedule the delivery of products or services at the right time and at the right place. All of those procedures are connected by clear, intelligent Communication . This idea of a Department of Government Efficiency is a good one . It should establish a strong foundation for doing things right and improving standards for things that need to have standards updated . A positive view of looking at projects involving government agencies will be something that will strengthen the Country in many ways.

I think the DOGE looking at Efficiency should more likely look at EFFECTIVENESS and I think they could Thin the Herd even More!!!

No. 3 might be hard to do, getting the Democrats to work seriously with the Republicans for the good of America.
The article is well written and I certainly am glad that Chairman Arrington of the House Budget Committee thinks that the hard work of cleaning up the Budget, reducing the size of Government, and removing waste is possible.

Privatize the Federal agencies, and the essential Federal employees who remain in the department may work as inspectors on the quality and quantity of the work. The laid off employees from the Federal department may submit the proposal for the contract.A WIN/WIN concept.

Article says Republicans must stand up to responsibility for debt, but why has the debt increased +$1Trillion per year for 14 straight years thru Obama, Trump, and Biden? as that is both parties at fault.

Fire them all & start over is not a good idea! think about that……….and I guess this country started out with zero employees +200 years ago & we survived! The people that want to fire everybody will be the first people that complain when the roads have potholess & in the winter no snow plows……and there is no power due to hydro dams being mothballed. Think long & hard before we start over again with no rules and regulations as guides.
