Fun. but sobering. Thinking of those involved with conflicts to be awarded these medals. God bless our military men and women, past, present and future. God bless the USA!

Not so difficult, 3:01. I would ask dad what he did in the war, he would always respond, “my job.” The night dad went to assist St. Michael, a great family friend told me that dad had a boat-load of medals, then he gave me a description of how dad would have to display them if he wore them all. “Boards up to his shoulder, another over the shoulder, and a couple more down the back side for about 2 feet. So many he would have to list to port.” Naturally, I didn’t believe him. I changed my mind a few weeks later when I was rummaging through dad’s stuff. THAT’S DOING YOUR JOB! Lots of dad’s buddies had a “really bad day at the office.” Thank God such men lived. “Blessed are the peacemakers…”

2:18 got lucky and it was fun yet sobering when you think about what all of those different medals are for. They are very pretty, but I am sure they are for amazingly brave and effective actions by our brave and committed soldiers. I admire their guts and commitment. :
