I decided I would try “expert.” I was able to finish with no missed tiles, but I took 22 minutes to finish the puzzle. HARD.

I thought this one was going to be SO easy because of all the wording. Was I wrong! Like others have said with the lack of contrast, it all looked gray, it was hard to see the words, but it challenged the brain. I’ll try it again another time, but I did it at the expert level at 10:47 with 1 missed placement. Got a little ahead of myself in the beginning, as I was getting frustrated, lol.

1:47 on Easy, 3:15 on Normal, 5:28 on Hard, 7:32 on Expert, 9:07 on Brain Buster… No misplaced tiles!! Good challenge, but disappointed that no Virginia National Parks were included… particularly Fortress Monroe, first manned in 1608; and Yorktown Battlefields, where the decisive battle of the Revolutionary War occurred, and where the British surrendered, in 1781 !!

Much easier than last week’s starscape. I’m putting these on Expert and having a lot of fun with them. Haven’t had time for a real jigsaw puzzle in a long time, so I’m enjoying my weekly fix.

National Parks! What fun, the various patches, the different earth and sky colors of each park captured on the patches. Wondering, are these for sale in the park shops? I didn’t notice them, thinking it would have made a delightful souvenir to pick up from each park, what a conversation starter. Like ranks in the military, it would identify those who made ‘sergeant, captain, colonel, major, or general!!!’
If you’re not aware, National Park Service sells a ‘Passport Book’ for visitors to stamp the national park and date it was visited. Some parks make it easy to find, others you might have to trek to another shop (at Grand Canyon, lol, where everything is far apart anyway!)
After the passport book purchase, it costs nothing to stamp your park passport and it’s fun to remember what parks were visited…especially if you start visiting the parks as a young family. We enjoy discussing our visits with everyone!

This one was a real delight! I have visited many of our National Parks in the past, and recently purchased the America the Beautiful Senior Pass. I haven’t yet seen most of those in the puzzle. Shenandoah is next on my list.

4:31, and I agree with someone else’s comment that it was hard to see the detail of the black-and-white puzzle image. I wish we could see the final, complete colored view before starting the puzzle. Still fun, though.
