Thank you to all who have served in our military and all the families that our service people came from and still coming from. Those who maintained the home front while loved ones were serving somewhere else, who covered their boys and girls with prayer, they also served.

Great Picture. I also served with an armored Cavalry unit. I am proud of my service and all those that have also served. I didn’t serve in Nam but I served during that period. I was on the East/West German border during JFK’s assassination and during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

My husband served in Vietnam. He was in the air wing and we have been married 61 years. He was drafted in the army but wanted to be a marine. Such a wasted war…

May Heaven bless them all, forever.
May we go forward to repair what sent them to war. Our work must be thorough . . .never again will our youth be pressed onto battlefields.
Remember our Vietnam veterans on this Day of Honor.

3:36. Slow but no misplacements. My first husband served on the USS Forrestal that blew up on the coast of Nam killing 100+ servicemen. Sadly, he passed away in 1988 at the age of 39. I do thank all that have served to keep our country safe.

I got a draft notice when I was 18. My mother pulled my birth certificate out and found it said I was a male…which I am not…and had to prove I was not a draft candidate. I am now 74 and still get things for a Mr., and it drives me crazy!! But again, I understand because my name is usually a male’s name.

Never got to Washington to see the Vietnam Memorial Wall. Was able to help the local VFW and American Legion set up a traveling wall. It is about half size as the Washington Wall. It was very moving. The local VFW and American League also did a special reading of each person from our state that was on the wall and their hometown, then rang a bell after the person’s home town. Real moving tribute!
