I disliked the spring forward in my younger days, now I dislike both changes!

1:49…. Please, someone, get rid of DST! I’m so tired of moving the clock forward and backward. Isn’t it pointless? There’s more accidents, heart attacks and lower worker productivity the two weeks following the time changes. Isn’t that enough reason to get rid of it? Now I’ll get off my soapbox. Lol… Have a great week, everyone!

8:18 on BB. I enjoyed this one, Yes, I’d love to get rid of DST once and for all! What is that saying about it being nonsense to cut strip off a blanket at the bottom and sewing the strip to the top to make the blanket longer??

I retired last year and this is the first time we sprung ahead and it didn’t bother me. Another benefit to not getting up at 5 to go to work anymore 🙂

I remember my folks cutting a cartoon from the DesMoines Register using a caricature of Richard Nixon holding up a blanket and explaining that you could make it longer by removing a foot from one end and sewing it on the other. Same logic as DST.

Stay with daylight savings, the golf courses love it up north, able to get a round in after work (assuming the snow has melted – HaHa).

Now that we’ve set it to DST, leave it there! Stop changing the clocks altogether, and leave it the way it is now. Most people enjoy having a little extra sunshine when they get home from work…they can spend more time with the kids outside or finish up projects.

1:45 A while ago CA people voted to do away with DST. But our state controlling folks (who are supposed to be working FOR us) decided we didn’t know what we really wanted and decided to keep it. Well, that was my understanding of the whole business.
