“I still think Biden is the nominee. They’ve danced with him this long so I think it’d be really hard to make that switch.” J. Hogan Gidley, the former White House Deputy Press Secretary from the Trump administration and serves as AFPI’s Vice Chair of the Center for Election Integrity & Senior Advisor for Communications, joined AMAC at CPAC on Broadcast Row to discuss the highly debated plans for the Democrats in 2024. While he does believe Biden will ultimately remain the nominee, Gidley did point out that the media and some in the party are at least setting the stage for a potential swap by beginning to call out Biden’s age or shortcomings to make it more “palatable” if they do in fact make a change.
