The Association of Mature American Citizens, in collaboration with Attorneys On Retainer (AOR), invites members to join a free educational webinar, “Common Misperceptions About Self-Defense,” on Wednesday, July 29, at 2:00 p.m. ET. Dedicated to defending the values of freedom, personal responsibility, and constitutional rights, AMAC and AOR are committed to providing seniors with the knowledge they need to protect themselves, their loved ones, and their legal rights.

The webinar will be presented by Joey Hamby, Senior Criminal Defense Attorney at Attorneys For Freedom and a Certified Specialist in Criminal Law, who brings decades of experience handling self-defense cases.

Americans are regularly exposed to information about self-defense through news reports, movies, social media, internet searches, and everyday conversations. However, much of that information is incomplete, misleading, or simply wrong.

This educational presentation will explore some of the most common questions and misunderstandings surrounding self-defense, including:

  • Should you plan self-defense actions in advance?
  • What should you say—or not say—to law enforcement after a self-defense incident?
  • If you invoke your right to remain silent or request an attorney, will police assume you are guilty?
  • Are you likely to be arrested following a self-defense event?
  • What legal realities differ from what is often portrayed in the media?

Criminal defense attorneys regularly encounter these questions from individuals seeking to understand their rights and responsibilities. This webinar will provide attendees with a clearer understanding of the legal considerations involved in self-defense situations and help dispel myths that can lead to confusion and costly mistakes.

Whether you are interested in personal safety, constitutional rights, or simply want to better understand the realities of self-defense law, this webinar offers valuable information for anyone seeking reliable, fact-based guidance. In today’s changing legal landscape, understanding your rights and responsibilities has never been more important.

Register Today!

Don’t miss this opportunity to gain practical legal insights and a better understanding of the misconceptions that often surround self-defense.

I make over $220 an hour while working from home and looking after my two kids. I was hesitant at first, but when my friend, who earns more than $35,000 a month, encouraged me to try it, I went for it. It’s been amazing! I have more time and money than I ever thought possible. Want to see how?
