The biggest mistake Medicare beneficiaries make is failing to compare plans during the Annual Enrollment Period, causing them to be stuck in a higher cost plan for another year. Having a local agent is great, but if they only have one or two options in your area, are you truly getting the best deal?

If you’re not using a brokerage (like AMAC) who’s contracted with multiple carriers across the country, you’ll probably end up paying more!

The Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) is right around the corner, starting October 15th and ending December 7th. This window gives you an opportunity to evaluate your coverage for the upcoming year.

Here are some things you need to know about AEP:

  • Your current insurer will send you an Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) in September which will explain any plan changes that will take effect the following year.
  • New plan information will be released in October, so we suggest starting to shop around then.
  • During AEP you can enroll into, drop, or change your Prescription Drug plan or Medicare Advantage plan.
  • You can make unlimited changes until December 7
  • Any changes made during AEP will take effect January 1st.

Why choose AMAC? We are contracted with multiple highly rated carriers to offer you Medicare Advantage plans, Prescription Drug plans, and Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans.

AMAC prefers to take a more personal approach; when you call in for Medicare information you will be assigned one dedicated advisor to help you, not having to repeat your story each time you call in.

Plus, our services are complimentary to all, whether you are a member or not.

AMAC is here to assist you with your Medicare needs this AEP, just give us a call at 855-611-4856.
