AMAC Magazine Exclusive – By Charlie Kirk

Whenever a nation goes into crisis, an invisible countdown begins. We may not be able to see it. We may not know how much time is left. But the countdown is there—the countdown to reform or revolution.

When a nation faces major problems that leave the people of the country distressed and unhappy, they can either solve the problem responsibly— through reform—or they can wait for it to explode in revolution.

America has passed this test before, where other nations failed. At the dawn of the 20th century, Theodore Roosevelt curbed the worst excesses of the Gilded Age and encouraged broad-based prosperity, sparing America from the communist, socialist, and fascist revolutions that rocked Europe in the decades that followed.

Now, America is in a challenging period once again. Young Americans are in crisis, and the crisis is getting worse. They look around, and they feel like the entire country is rigged against them, and the life that their parents and grandparents lived is no longer available. Forty years ago, the average home in the US cost the equivalent of three and a half years of income. Today, the median home costs about six times the average income. In most of California, it’s more than 10 times the average income. Since 1980, the age of the median home buyer has risen from 31 to 56; 10 years of that increase have happened since the COVID pandemic.

It’s not just housing. In 1980, public college tuition averaged $2,800 in today’s dollars. Today, the average is about $10,000. Unsurprisingly, the average college graduate has a huge amount of student loans—yet even if they studied a serious STEM subject, their job prospects are rough, in part due to AI but also because America has, for decades, been importing foreign replacements for all kinds of skilled work.

All the economic pressures would be bad enough, but young people face other troubles as well. The kids entering the workforce today spent high school trapped inside for COVID lockdowns. They are more anxious and depressed than any prior generation, have fewer friends, and most of them are on track to never get married.

Almost no young Americans are politically moderate. No 21-year-olds are racing out to vote for Lindsey Graham or demand the return of Joe Manchin. Whether they lean right or left, young Americans want big changes. And if one side can’t give them those changes, they’re happy to do a complete political 180 to get them. Last fall, Donald Trump did remarkably well with young Americans, precisely because he offered them a real platform for major change in America: a revival of American manufacturing, a return to having a border, and no woke police state policing their every word and thought. But most importantly, Trump offered the most basic and compelling platform of all: When he was president, the economy grew, for low-wage workers most of all. And Trump could credibly promise to bring that back.

Now, in New York, we can see another possible end result of this generation’s difficulties. As I write this, Zohran Mamdani is the heavy favorite to become the next mayor of New York City. Mamdani is offering a simple, revolutionary message to disaffected young people. That message is, in essence, “All those things you want and don’t have? You can just vote them to yourself.”

Housing too costly? Freeze the rents. Tired of price inflation? Government-run grocery stores and daycares will fix it. Oh, and we’ll pull back the police and arrest Benjamin Netanyahu while we’re at it.

If Mamdani wins and implements his promises, it will be a fiasco. Price controls won’t solve a housing shortage, and government-run grocery stores will work about as well as they did in the Soviet Union. Meanwhile, the left’s endless war against all forms of economic productivity will drive more and more jobs out of New York, forcing ever-higher taxes on the saps poor enough to stay behind.

But because he offers a simple and revolutionary message during difficult times, Mamdani’s message will always be popular. And even if his tenure in New York is the disaster I fully expect, his cancer will spread to other places if we cannot get America into a position where young people feel satisfied with their opportunities.

And that’s going to mean embracing some policies that put young Americans first. If we loosen regulations to drive more home-building, it will mean that the homes of seniors will appreciate less. We may have to prioritize the welfare of young people over the welfare state.

But it must be done. Because what would you rather have: MAGA reform, or the Mamdani revolution?

One can only hope that people of all ages will wake up to their senses and realize that the Left support will only result in the continued destruction of our nation’s foundation. If NYC votes in this crazy individual, the disease will continue to spread across the nation. WAKE UP BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!

Every time I read something Charlie Kirk wrote I am filled with a tinge of sadness because all we have is the content he wrote prior to Sept. 10. As for the NYC mayoral race, the city has a knack for electing losers into their executive office. The only good mayor I remember in my lifetime was Rudy Giuliani and he came in under the atrocious leadership of David Dinkins (remember that guy? New York’s first black mayor who almost caused another recession.) Since then it has been an endless stream of democrats who only made the city worse. Now it seems like all of those previously bad mayors have combined and morphed into the terror that is Zohran Mamdani like the old Transformer toys of the 1980s. New York has the highest cost of living in the nation, but Mamdani’s policies won’t fix New York, it will take it back to a time when the city almost went bankrupt because of poor fiscal management. I would like to think that New Yorkers would have had enough by now, but it seems not. As the election season winds down I encourage all New Yorkers to read the attachment to this story. It will open everyone’s eyes.

Public education in grades K-12, and colleges and universities from Freshman-PhD, have been lying to students and indoctrinating them with radical left-wing liberalism, Socialism and Communism for decades. They have been trying their best, telling them how wonderful it all is. While at the same time, teaching them to hate America and the horrible racist things she stands for, to hate Capitalism for dividing the wealth, to hate the police, and hate God and religion.
All of these lies and obsessed hatred are reinforced by the legacy Fake News media, on ALL it’s platforms 24/7/365. And if that isn’t enough, there are all the left-wing radical Democrat politicians including many who are full-blown Socialists and Communists, using the media bullhorns to spread their historical propaganda and FAILED EVIL ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS.

Communist leaders in the past have said “We will never defeat America militarily. They are too strong. But we can defeat them if we can:
1. Take control of the press. (Tell the people what WE want them to hear 24/7/365).
2. Take over the education system. (Indoctrinate them starting with K-12, AND in all colleges and universities by filling the classroos with America-hating, radical left-wing Marxists).
3. Disarm them. (Constantly attack the Second Amendment, make regulations and laws restricting owning guns and the purchasing of ammunition to the point it will eventually become impossible to own (or keep) either. Also, have a Natioal Registry requirement which identifies ALL gun and ammunition owners, the types and how many weapons they have, how much ammunition, and where they live and work). That way when they feel they are ready to take over, they will know who to arrest (or kill) first.

So far, ‘they’ have been allowed to accomplish the first two (because of IGNORANTLY ARROGANT, INDOCTRINATED VOTERS WHO CONTINUE ELECTING THESE SOCIALIST COMMUNISTS INTO POLITICAL OFFICE). And ALL of these people, who are actually America’s ENEMIES WITHIN are working relentlessly trying to finish the last one of the three.

If New York’s blind voting sheep elect Mamdani, he will destroy NYC with his socialist ideas and policies. NYC WILL become a crime-infested cess pool (far FAR WORSE THAN IT ALREADY IS) with bankrupting taxes, empty stores and grocery shelves, hundreds of thousands of businesses and people fleeing, and for those stuck there, it will eventually become a lawless society where every man, woman and child will be fending for themselves.
(Escape from New York won’t just be a movie, it will become a reality).

Wise up voters, or pay the ultimate price.

I continue to believe that those on the Left are incapable of learning. They just keep making the same mistakes over and over again. The only “bright” spot in Mamdani’s election would be that MAYBE when the Left sees the total collapse of a once great city they will see the err of their ways – I won’t hold my breath!

Mamdani is offering a simple message to simple people, simple people who should not be allowed to vote for an obvious reason might get what they wish for, could they be more simple, those are kindergardeners used to being cared for, who is going to do that, how, with what, the scariest part is that he got this far without hue and cry being raised. Is the whole city in some stupor, are they trying to commit a mass suicide?

Neither of these alternatives, without expectations and requirements that fealty to the founding principles of America be understood and accepted by everyone, is an ultimate solution to the obvious problems facing this nation by the unregulated invitations and admissions of derelict people “escaping” severe social conditions elesewhere, or being sent here by the subterfuges of some governmental organizations (military-aged men from conflictive countries, for instance), is an acceptable long-term solution to the basic issues of behaviors and interactions between fellow members of a diverse and wide-spread social experiment. The first might be useful. The second will be unquestionably destructive. Allow a rabid dog into a pack and soon all will become rabid dogs. Along with other times and instances of crisis in this nation, true citizens and patriots had best remain on high alert as others continue the attempt to extinguish the principles of this exceptional nation (diddle yourself, OB).

I can hardly believe the condition of our country today. There are so many left-wing organizations pushing youngsters to believe America, as we know it, is gone. As an 87 year “young” senior, I have seen our country during WWII and beyond. We were cohesive in our values, and we worked hard and lived the “American Dream.” Today, it is near to impossible for young Americans to live the life they aspire to. More than a few still live with their parents. Those who are married are having less children. I do, however, see a light at the end of the tunnel, as Donald Trump is making changes that should give our country the return to greatness it deserves!

MAGA?? Israel starts with an “I”.
I find it peculiar that AMAC dug up a short article Kirk wrote concerning a potential mayoral candidate for NYC, but didn’t dare print any of the recent content found regarding Kirks disgust at the genocidal actions of the demons that rule Israel.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) talks to reporters as he heads for a vote at the U.S. Capitol on June 01, 2026 in Washington, DC.

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO) holds a news conference before a markup hearing in the Longworth House Building on Capitol Hill on May 13, 2025 in Washington, DC.
