Dear Senator Cruz and Congressman Palmer,

On behalf of AMAC Action, the advocacy affiliate of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), with over 2 million members nationwide, I write to offer our strong support for the Retirement Freedom Act.

This legislation addresses a long-standing injustice: under current law, seniors who choose not to enroll in Medicare Part A are punished by being forced to give up their Social Security benefits which they have earned through decades of hard work and contributions.

The Retirement Freedom Act restores a basic American principle that our members hold dear: freedom of choice. Seniors should not be coerced into a one-size-fits-all government program. They deserve the right to keep their private insurance, manage their healthcare decisions independently, and retain the Social Security benefits they paid for throughout their lives.

We applaud your leadership in reintroducing this important bill. It represents the kind of common-sense, pro-freedom reform our nation needs. By breaking the forced link between Medicare and Social Security, your bill empowers seniors, respects their autonomy, and pushes back against bureaucratic control.

We look forward to working with you to move this legislation forward in the 119th Congress.

Sincerely,

Andrew J. Mangione Jr.
Senior Vice President
