[Leesburg, FL] – [August 2025] — The Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) is proud to announce the launch of AMAC Local, an exciting new initiative designed to bring AMAC’s trusted guidance, support, and values-driven advocacy into local communities across the country.

AMAC Local builds on the organization’s nationwide reach by empowering members to engage more deeply at the local level through educational events, local news, and resources tailored to the unique needs of seniors in their own communities.

“Faith, family, and freedom are not just national ideals—they’re community values,” said Rebecca Weber, President and CEO of AMAC. “AMAC Local is about strengthening the fabric of America one neighborhood at a time by providing our members with opportunities to connect, give back, and grow together.”

AMAC Local will offer members:

  • In-person events, including concerts, social gatherings, and workshops on topics like art, history, and financial planning
  • Volunteer opportunities that support veterans, seniors, and conservative community efforts
  • Local updates and alerts to keep members informed on civic issues affecting their cities and towns
  • Resource access, including health, wellness, and faith-based community programming

From small towns to big cities, AMAC Local is rooted in the belief that real change starts close to home.

“This initiative is a natural extension of our mission,” said Weber. “We’ve always believed in the power of the individual to make a difference. AMAC Local gives our members the tools and platform to do just that—right where they live.”

Members can visit local.amac.us to learn more, explore events, and get involved.

What a great idea. Some of the information I will be able to use. Some of it does not work because of my health and lack of transportation. I am glad to have this resource.
My zip code worked fine.

I went to AMAC local, entered my zip code, but puts me in a legislative district that isn’t correct! How does one get the correct place? No way to enter another zip code or address!

as a senior there is no attraction to any/all the group bs; we come into the world alone and go out alone. that can’t be changed but always falls short of promises.

This idea needs some work and fleshing out, but has great potential. AMAC can’t be everywhere, but with time they could cover quite a bit of the US. There was only one event listed for our area (about 30 miles away) in just under a month from now. I think we will attend, get to know some other AMAC members, and perhaps find out about (Or perhaps even help plan) future events. The idea of doing volunteer work with like-minded people sounds fun. This has the potential of turning AMAC into a member-driven organization.

Great idea, but I’m with Carol. I’m not seeing anything in my district either. We live in Amador County, California. We vote a usual 75-85% republican and have virtually NO representation. Most of everything offered by AMAC is in the Eastern parts of the country. We have supported AMAC for many years, but am starting to wonder if there is anything in it for us. Also, per Carol’s answer; I’m not either seeing anything that says “change location” at the top of the webpage.
