News stations are warning travelers of high-volume movement expected for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Per AAA, close to 80 million people will be traveling for the 2024 holiday, broken down as the following:
- 79.9 million will be hitting the road
- 5.8 million will travel by air
- 2 million plus will go by bus, train, or cruise
More people are gathering
Now that the COVID-19 pandemic is no longer as threatening as in prior years, people feel more comfortable gathering together. Gas prices have also come down from last year, making travel more appealing. Since roadways, airports, and train and bus stations will be bustling, travelers are advised to be patient and use their smarts.
Here are some top safety tips to incorporate into your travel routine, especially for those who are driving:
- Pack in advance using a checklist for optimal organization.
