AMAC Exclusive – By Shane Harris

Joe

It’s incredible to think that just eleven months ago, Democrats were celebrating unified control of government for the first time in more than a decade. They had lost seats in the House but still managed to hang on to the gavel, Joe Biden had secured the White House, and two runoff elections in Georgia handed the party the slimmest of majorities in the Senate. It was a narrow victory to be sure, but they were jubilant nonetheless.

Less than one year in, however, almost everyone agrees that the Democratic Party is in freefall. As a litany of crises induced by ill-advised policies sweep the country, Democrats’ grip on power is now endangered by a disgruntled American public, a newly energized Republican Party, and internal divisions threatening to tear the Democrat coalition apart. In the wake of what can only be characterized as a historic (and perhaps even unprecedented) first-year failure, and with glaring individual shortcomings compounding their mismanagement of the government, Washington has a new parlor game. It’s called “Joe, Kamala, Nancy, or Chuck?” And the game is to guess which – if any – will still be in office one year from now.

Joe Biden – a case study in ineptitude

As astonishing as it sounds, the most vulnerable Democratic leader may be the sitting President of the United States who doesn’t face reelection for another three years.

Since taking office, Biden has overseen a disastrous American defeat in Afghanistan, record high inflation, a border crisis of unprecedented scope, crime waves in cities throughout the United States, ransomware attacks on the country’s most critical infrastructure, and surging numbers of COVID-19 deaths despite being handed three vaccines by the Trump administration, among other crises either caused or directly worsened by his administration’s policies. For a president who campaigned on putting “the adults” back in charge, it’s hardly been a rousing success, and Americans are noticing.

There’s also the increasingly obvious fact of Biden’s declining mental faculties. He rarely appears in public, and when he does has repeatedly implied that he’s not in charge of when he can take questions from the press. Biden’s gaffes have embarrassed the country on the world stage and he often wanders away during events, seemingly forgetting where he is at. Just this month, he fell asleep at a major international conference on climate change, a subject he himself has claimed is literally a life and death issue for humanity with little time left on the clock.

Even Democrats appear to recognize that the Biden administration may already be too far gone to salvage. Many Democrats were openly critical of the president over his handling of Afghanistan, and Democrat candidates like Virginia gubernatorial nominee Terry McAuliffe admitted that Biden’s poor poll numbers were dragging them down in their races earlier this month. If Biden’s failed governance and unpopularity continue to impede Democratic success in future elections, pressure may mount internally for a new direction – and let’s not forget that he has an unusually Machiavellian Vice President who is openly plotting to eventually take the reins. If these challenges are too much to overcome, ‘health concerns’ for the soon-to-be 79-year-old Biden may provide the graceful exit needed to usher “the Big Guy” off-stage.

Kamala Harris – has even Biden had enough?

Democrats’ problems in the White House don’t stop with Joe Biden. Kamala Harris currently has a 28 percent approval rating, even lower than her boss. On the one issue that Biden entrusted to her, the border, the administration has 23-percent approval. Harris has also been perhaps even more elusive than the President, having yet to hold a solo press conference and falling victim to the same sort of verbal gaffes as Biden in her rare interview appearances.

Accounts have also emerged in recent days of mounting tension between Harris and her staff on the one hand and Biden’s staff on the other. Rumors have circulated that Biden may even be considering nominating Harris for a Supreme Court seat if one becomes vacant so that he can select a new Vice President. While White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki tweeted that Harris is a “vital partner” to Biden, the fact that the administration even felt the need to try and quell such reports suggests that they may not be entirely unfounded.

For the Democratic establishment, Harris was supposed to be the President-in-waiting, ready to step in for an aging Joe Biden. But now, even as Joe Biden continues to flounder, it seems that there is little confidence among the public or Democratic insiders that Harris could do the job much better. If Biden decides not to run in 2024, Harris won’t be a shoo-in – and she likely won’t even be the favorite. If an opportunity presents itself for Harris to save her political career and her legacy, she might just take it. After all, the first black female on the Supreme Court is a better place in the history books than being an unusually unpopular VP.

Nancy Pelosi – the architect of legislative disaster

Many House Democrats were already uneasy with another term for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker, even before the legislative mess that the party now finds itself in. Democrats lost seats in the 2020 election on Pelosi’s watch, even as Biden landed in the White House and Democrats regained control of the Senate. Progressives wanted one of their own to hold the gavel, and there were serious doubts that Pelosi could keep an increasingly fractured party together.

Those doubts appear to be well-founded amid the bungled messaging and process around Biden’s signature infrastructure plan and social spending bill. Were it not for 13 Republicans breaking ranks to vote with Democrats, the infrastructure bill would have failed in the House, a sign of Pelosi’s inability to keep progressives in line.

In light of the results in this month’s elections, it’s also conceivable that Pelosi may want to avoid presiding over what could well be a historic collapse in the 2022 midterms. If the 81-year-old Speaker does decide to retire early, she may still be able to name her heir and salvage some of her legacy – an inviting prospect for a career politician.

Chuck Schumer – the new target of the woke left?

The Senate Majority Leader may be in the most secure position of any current Democratic leader, but even his job security is by no means assured. While the infrastructure bill ultimately proved to be a major win for Schumer thanks to the compliance of Senate and House Republicans, passage of Biden’s signature spending plan remains very much up in the air. If Schumer can’t hammer out a deal, it would be a major blow for both the Biden administration and Schumer’s leadership, likely creating a crisis of confidence among Congressional Democrats.

Even if the Senate does pass Biden’s spending plan, progressives have made clear that they are none too happy with the significant cuts that have already been made to the overall package. With Schumer’s reelection looming in 2022, progressives may see deep blue New York as an opportunity to elect a more radical figure like fellow New Yorker Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, sending a powerful message about the ascendance of the far-left. There is little doubt that if AOC thought she could take the shot at Schumer’s seat and win it, she would do just that. After all, she ran against and defeated Joe Crowley, then the chair of the House Democratic Caucus, to get where she is today.

While it seems unlikely that all of the current Democratic leaders will be gone before the midterms, Democrats would likely find themselves in a particularly tough spot if even one makes an early exit. Leadership crises typically don’t inspire confidence among the public, a fact that would only be exacerbated by Democrats lack of rising stars to replace their aging incumbents. The most high-profile Congressional Democrats aside from Pelosi and Schumer are radicals like Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Bernie Sanders, polarizing figures even among Democrats. A power vacuum could inflame already obvious internal tensions into an all-out civil war for the future of the party.

Of course, as the last year has shown, everything could change in the next twelve months. While it seems unlikely today, should the economy rebound or the GOP face unforeseen struggles of their own, Democrats could be in a more advantageous position next November than it currently appears. Republicans should well remember that they once wrote-off Joe Biden as finished politically after he opted against running for president in 2016, only to see him pull off an improbable comeback four years later. But if the GOP avoids unforced errors and the Democratic Party continues to self-implode, it’s likely that one way or another, Democrats will soon be looking to a new set of leaders to guide their party back from the brink of total disaster.

Biden opted against running for president in 2016, probably because of “health issues”, the kind that anyone faces if going against the Clintons. That gave the Dimocrats four more years to insure that “the fix was in” so that they wouldn’t be embarrassed in the next election…not that they aren’t embarrassed now after the past election.

Why these days is there anyone who wants to vote democrat anywhere? Yet in Philadelphia, a George Soros DA of the worst sort beat out his opponent by something like 72 to 28.
That means more criminals voted than law abiding citizens in Philadelphia.
And never lose sight of the fact that we must not allow any form of the “for the people act” to pass, unconstitutionally nationalizing election law or we will never have free elections again and we will become a Communist tyranny forthwith.

Additionally, you can’t be a Christian and vote Democrat!!!

When I say that people get upset. I ask them to hold the Democrat platform to Biblical world view. When that is done you see that they are mutually exclusive.

Therefore, honestly you can’t be a Christian and vote Democrat.

I am not going to get my hopes up on the Republicans regaining control of the House or the Senate, we must remember that there are a lot of stupid people who will vote for the Democrats, because their daddy, was a Democrat, and the Freeloaders, and the ultra-stupid people that believe the Black Lies Matter BS, and what’s stopping more voter fraud.
Then we have the Moron Republican that can’t stop him or herself from saying stupid stuff and can’t stick to the crucial issues of Jobs, the Economy, the Border, the National Debt. and our World Standing, and protecting the Bill of Rights, and smaller Government.
Make me the enforcer to slap the Candidates upside the head who strays from the issues and me might have a chance.
God Bless America!

I just hope that the true Republican party learns from their own disasters namely the RINOS and rid the party of them. I recall the last time the Republican party was in full control of the White House, Senate and House. It was everyday business as usual and the patriot legal Americans received the crumbs from their elitist tables. Hope we the legal American patriot people can turn America around from the brink of self destruction. Anyone accepting the liberal socialist /communist agenda must go and never be allowed in politics again. We can do it with the foremost of God’s help.

They will sadly all be in office a year from now, unless the 25th Amendment is invoked to remove Biden which would not happen until early 2023 with a solid GOP majority. Even after the midterms there will not be enough votes in Congress to remove him via impeachment no matter how deserved it may be. Pelosi and Schumer come from districts/states that will never vote them out no matter how rotten they may be for our nation, and they are very rotten. Our best hope is that Congress shifts to eliminate their power and they may decide to quit voluntarily, but that won’t happen until 2024 at the earliest if at all. There is no quick and easy way out of this mess. I want them all gone asap but reality says it won’t happen. If they succeed in taking control of our elections and keeping the doors to fraud open it may not happen at all!

All will likely still be in office (and for Pelosi and Schumer, in their current leadership positions) 12 months from now.

However, Pelosi may have seen the writing on the wall and not run for reelection in 2022. If she does run for reelection, she may resign shortly after losing her Speakership. Biden will hang around until 2024 but won’t run for reelection and Harris will seek but will not get the Democrat nomination for president in 2024.

Schumer will be the survivor albeit in a minority leadership role.

I said to anyone listening in September 2020 that Joe Biden would not survive ONE term. He could die (of old age) but more likely be removed under the 25th Amendment engineered by Harris and supported by Pelosi. I also predicted it would happen after 21 January 2023.

Great article. Joe Biden had mental difficulties before he was elected. All politicians who run for political office should be medically screened both physically and mentally before running for office. Not to mention a major security screen. Our great Country can’t afford to have corrupt, anti- American people running for office to represent us. NO they don’t have the right! A crook is still a crook. The Big Man, JB took money from our enemy China and HB is also on their payroll. Is China running our Country? What is up with all these RINOS. Did Lindsey Graham join that crowd? How could he vote for this Infrastructure Bill? My understanding is that only 23% of our hard earned tax monies is going to Infrastructure. What a scam!!!

we need term limits. There are references to job security for Shumer….no politician should have security. It is service. But it has never come up for a vote. I’m in Massachusetts and the Kennedy’s always carry the name. Joseph Kennedy ran for office and lost to the worst Senator ever Edward Markey.

The article starts with Biden secured the Election. Wrong it was stolen! People talk about term limits, those in Washington DC will never vote out their job security. We the people need to cause term limits at the polls. How many times have you heard I don’t no that person so I voted him or her back in. People need to do the research before the elections. The article also states Trump left Braindead with three vaccines they were never a vaccine until the CDC changed the definition. Every thing this administration has done has been planned by the WORLD ELITES to get to the NEW WORLD ORDER. That will be easily accomplished if they can keep us divided, so we need to unite.

There’s also the increasingly obvious fact of Biden’s declining mental faculties. He rarely appears in public, and when he does has repeatedly implied that he’s foxnews.com/media/biden-implies-handlers-are-in-charge not in charge of when he can take questions from the press.

Is it just me or is Biden’s dementia actually improving? He seems to be making a lot more travels and public appearances lately, probably because he is under a lot more pressure now. It seems that adversity is good for him.

How about this scenario: Harris schemes to give Dementia Joe a new virulent strain of COVID and her assistants get caught and leak to the press. Biden survives and demands that Harris be impeached and removed and Pelosi does so immediately. What then happens in the Senate? How do the Republicans vote?

While I wish no ill will for anyone…..these four individuals deserve the unified wrath of the nation, for all the reasons this article cites. With in-fighting apparently part of the mix, and the unstable security of numbers in both houses, perhaps, maybe, hopefully, the “free fall” will set the state for a rebound of the conservatives………….who, in my opinion are still weak sisters in all of this political drama. Conservatives have to be bold, aggressive and forthright if they are to succeed, and, not only make the turn from socialism, but put the course straight on the path the Republic had at its conception…..I still find these three matters to be the center of all…..term limits for all congressional members, a balanced budget by law, and adherence to the Constitution……otherwise we will cycle back to liberals in control and each time that happens we are drawn deeper into the abyss….and the time will come when that cycle will be the last…..and the Republic will fall.

Locking up would provide hots and a cot, which I would not want to do that. Because, in addition to booting them out of office we would need retribution for millions spent, leaving them in a prime post to be introduced to being homeless. Maybe, just maybe, provide a 2 foot square thin blanket and a spot under a bridge…although they may not even be welcome there.

Great article. But Biden didn’t “make a comeback.” He has all of the intellectual capability of a potted plant. He didn’t earn the presidency. He spent the better part of the campaign in his basement wearing adult diapers and nodding off. The presidency was gifted to him by a Democrat party so untethered from reality that they nearly nominated an octogenarian socialist from Vermont. A potted plant leaning slightly toward center could have won the nomination. I have to wonder sometimes whether Biden is actually making decisions — versus vacantly drooling and signing documents put in front of him by cynical puppeteers — but the decisions are so consistently horrible for our country that there can be little doubt that some fragment of Biden’s scant remaining brain is involved.

Obama’s Defense Chief, Robert Gates, said it best when he declared that Biden hadn’t gotten a single foreign policy decision right in the past 40 years. But Gates didn’t go quite far enough. Biden hasn’t gotten ANYTHING right in the past 40 years other than innovate new ways to line his pockets through his dim-witted progeny at our country’s expense. Amusingly, Biden thinks he’s FDR. On the one hand, I’m glad that he’s that delusional because he’s going to relegate his party to irrelevance starting with the midterm election. But, on the other, he’s seemingly completely unaware that his failed policies are making his fellow countrymen poorer and more miserable.

Thank you, Joe, for giving the GOP its groove back.
