Representing your cuntry is an honor and those who complain about their country should be ashamed. If you don’t think this is the greatest country in the world Leave. We don’t you. Leave, and don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Blame should be brought against Democrats who continue to trash what we are. Pathetic losers.

The Olympics have pagan roots. They, along with American sports, have been infected by the “woke virus” which spreads like a cancer killing everything in its path. I stopped watching the NFL during and forever after the “knee” debacle. I stopped watching NASCAR during and after the “noose” debacle. I stopped watching the Olympics when two delusional “men” boxed each other in the woman’s boxing competition. The Olympics and American Sports are distractions and a complete waste of time and money. I pay them no heed.

STAY IN YOUR LANE!!!

Dating back to the first Olympic Games 776 BC at Olympia, Greece, athletes have trained hard and strived to do their personal best to display their God-given athletic abilities by representing their (city originally) nation in the highest level of competition.

The Olympics (or any venue where talent is displayed) are not meant to be a platform to voice ones Woke or Socialist ideology. It is especially disturbing when an athlete representing the most freedom-loving and prosperous nation, spouts off about how ashamed they are of the United States of America; or how much the detest law enforcement; or much they hate Jews; or how they have the backs of illegal aliens over actual American citizens, etc.

If they hate America so much, then leave and go represent another country or territory. I’m sure Gaza would be proud to have you represent them. But make sure all you LGBTQ+ athletes don’t come out of the closet…that might not end well. Or, hold your own Woke/Socialist Olympics where everyone gets a medal and everyone can pontificate their radical nonsense.

Wouldn’t it be great if American Olympic athletes, who are so blessed to be at the games, would shut their pie holes and do what they were sent to do…ski, skate, board, jump, curl, sled, or score a goal. They might be ashamed of America, but we the people are much more ashamed of them!

My family and I used to gather round the tv and truly enjoy watching the Olympics while cheering on our favorites. Much like Football, baseball and basketball including March Madness we just don’t follow any of it anymore because of all the anti America nonsense that has infected all that was once enjoyable we’ve decided to just not support these organizations anymore. We got rid of cable tv for the same reason.
We play board games together and pray together as well for our very confused country.

It’s amazing how other teams play and proudly support their country, but, the players from the U. S. play and Hate America. I’m NOT watching!

When working for the several companies I did, I could never bad-mouth them on a public stage. I was taking their money to do a job FOR THEM. Are not the people taking money from donations and in some measure taxes (donations being deductible) also obligated to not bad-mouth those supporting them? If you don’t like the U.S.A. then don’t take U.S.A. money to become famous world wide, then sign big $$ endorsement contracts. If you don’t like the U.S.A. then at lease STFU!

They guy on the American team who said he wasn’t proud of America should be removed from competition and the Olympics completely.

With all that’s going on in this country and the world, why is the Olympics even a topic for discussion? The senate needs to pass the Save act. That’s something worth talking about.

Growing up the Winter Olympics were “must see tv” as a family activity and even as an adult through the 90’s. Somewhere since then it has seemingly changed and doesn’t hold near the interest it once had.
Kind of like the Miss America pageant. I guess I’m jaded, life sure seemed simpler with only 3 channels and I was Dad’s “remote control”!

I enjoy ice skating, skiing and hockey events. I get upset when our athletes talk about politics at the olympics…that is not the place for it. Also, athletes who are from USA performing for other countries. If they want to perform for another country, move back there.

I have not watched any of the Olympics in years. I detest the hatred toward the US. Some of the events have no business being in the Olympics. Pandering.

Since most major sports venues have been infiltrated by WOKE ideology these days, including NASCAR! of all things, I suppose my favorite event to watch is the yearly showing of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. No participants “taking a knee”,
no “Black National Anthem” being sung, no blasphemy of Jesus Christ on display…just some beautiful animals vying for the title of “Best In Show”.

I stopped watching the Olympics years ago. When the USA sends the NBA All-Stars as its basketball team, it kind of destroys the idea of what the Olympics USED to be…a chance for amateurs to shine. Now, with the snot nosed, spoiled brat, rich kids who feel it’s incumbent upon them to criticize this nation while on foreign soil, it becomes even less interesting to me. I actually hope the children who misbehave this way don’t even make it to the medal round.

I worked in sportscasting for 20 years as an editor at the regional, national and international levels and worked on a lot of stories and highlights for both Winter and Summer Games. I’m burned out. I also do not like the fact that professionals are now playing, as in hockey. Politics have been in it since I’ve been alive, as seen with boycotts, etc. The only Olympic highlight I watch is the final minute of the USA/Soviet hockey game from Lake Placid in 1980. I can watch that on a loop.

I would love to watch the Olympics. I want to watch. I was an athlete and love watching all sports.
But I won’t. I HATE what the lying media and politicians have done to my wide world of sports (it isn’t politics as people pass it off as, it’s an annihilation of a once great culture.

The Olympics have largely become meaningless. I don’t watch, I don’t read about them, want nothing to do with them. Just like any sport these days, wokeness, politics, and micromanagement have killed them for me.

Ideally, the Olympics are supposed to be above politics! But the disgrace of our runners back in Mexico City, then Peanut’s boycott of the Moscow Olympics, tainted it for me. If some of these athletes cannot keep their mouths shut, maybe they should NOT claim to represent the USA. Especially the American who participated under the Chinese flag!

The olympic games started heading down the toilet in the 60’s, along with most everything else in western society. The introduction of professional athletes pretty much sealed the deal and became just like everything else where making a buck is the primary consideration. Not interested any more.

I enjoy watching from time to time, but money is a big part of it. Richer countries like the US can send hundreds of athletes while poorer countries can only send 1 or 2.

And for the love of God why is snoop dog there? Last olympics he was wearing a baal necklace!

There was a time, that I can remember, in both the winter and summer games when we had many athletes who were either Immigrants themselves or the children of immigrants who were Olympic athletes who were proud to be representing the United States. Who were both proud and grateful for being able to compete and represent our country. Who were proud and grateful for the freedoms that they had because they had become citizens of our country. What has happened to that ?

I enjoy the “thrill of victory and the agony of defeat”. I wish the few USA athletes would keep their mouths shut and heads high. Also, nobody cares or wants to know what you do in your bedroom. Keep it to yourself.

I have’t watched in years. I problably would if it was broadcast on a conservative channel. Way to much politics fo me. Some of the athletes comments shows how weak minded they are when confronted by the liberal media. Question: How does a liberal dumocrat firing squad line up? Answer: In a circle!

There aren’t any sports in the Olympics that I am particularly interested in. I’ve been a passionate golfer since 1980, but I have no interest in the sport in the Olympics and haven’t seen a single minute of actual play in the event. Professional golfers are the WRONG players, it should be restricted to AMATEURS. Same goes with the other sports. Bah, humbug.

I used to watch every time but then they started spending most of the broadcast time on the background and all the awful hardships some of the athletes had to endure and how they are such good people now against all the odds, blah, blah, blah. Very little time spent on the events and too many non-sporting events added to the games. It’s just not worth my time anymore.

The anti-American left (AAL) and their cancerous mantra of Hatred and everything in America is racists and horrible how we treat Illegal Alien murderers and rapists. How trying to restore law and order is just an atrocity and that message must be spread all over the globe (meanwhile anyone in the globe would trade places with you in a heartbeat)…So with this said: How can you even want to watch the vitriolic statements often spewed by spoiled brats. Now, does it ruin it for all who have worked their butts off, sacrificed everything and take pride in their Homeland, Absolutely! and that was the AAL (D) point! “By Any means Necessary” AAL Democrats that touches it, it is ruined forever unless…there is a way to make everything great again! One way.

Gave up on the it. One year a great cross country ski race and the lead kept going back and forth between the Nordic countries. It was an uphill stretch before the finish and the cut off to ice skating PRACTICE!
Shut it off and never went back

I used to love watching the Olympics, especially the ice skating. But I haven’t watched in many many years.
Those athletes who represent the US should keep their political opinions out of the Olympics. You are there to represent the US and not you opinion. If you hate the US so much, then you do not belong there to represent the US. Those who have competed and speak negatively about the US should be removed immediately and if they won any medals they should be taken away!
If you are a US citizen and are competing for another country, your US citizenship should be stripped!
Liberal politics is destroying everything!

I feel the same way about the Olympics that I always have. We enjoy watching them and support all young competitors. Of course we love to see the USA win, but we also celebrate the strength of the human spirit for all, especially those from war torn and 3rd world nations.

Most snowboard, downhill skiing, ski jumping, bob sled, luge, skeleton and figure skating are on our watch list.

We used to watch faithfully every Olympics, but I have lost interest over the years. I know how hard the athletes train, but somehow the atmosphere has changed. Politics, religion, and disputes between countries are not enjoyable topics during sports events. The same is true of other entertainment (art, music, movies). Everything seems to be tainted, maybe courtesy of Marxist ideology that has spread in our schools and colleges.

Far too many sporting events, from the Olympics to the Super Bowl, to the World Series of Baseball and all the other Sporting Championships occurring every year, Politics is inappropriate. The enjoyment is lost when Politics enters the venue. Many years ago, I stopped watching Award Shows like the Oscars because I do not care what their Political Beliefs are. Do these people really believe that because they shout their beliefs to the world they will change someone else’s beliefs? Can they possibly be that vain?

The doping and cheating have tarnished the luster of the games. The inclusion of professional athletes has helped to eliminate (level the playing field) some of the advantage that created, but the games no longer reflect the values they once did.
