I really pray that I am wrong. But, one day we’ll have a Constitution and Bill of Rights in name only. We have politicians, “judges”( activists, really), and others, working against this country from the inside out- like termites eating a tree. Those individuals are a bad fit for the Untied States, and would be a better fit for, say, China, or some other totalitarian regime. They want freedom of speech for themselves; firearm ownership for themselves and their private security teams. They look down on the rest of us, you know, the “serfs”. Look at creepy Walz and his love for China. The late Diane Feinstein; Eric Swalwell, Gavin Newsom, all love the Beijing style of government. Not to mention the sickeningly sweet AOC. Look at the Biden regime and the weaponization of government against his political opponents; The big media and social media companies that went along voluntarily with the government in silencing those the Right.
Donald Trump will not be around forever. At some point, we’ll have a democrat back in the White House and back in charge of Congress. Then what? How many of the democrats are really worth a darn right now? How many really love this country and its founding ideals? Personally, I don’t think many at all. I am a bit pensive about the future of this country. I hope and pray that I am wrong. In the meantime, God love and protect Donald J. Trump and the United States of America. Happy 259th, America!

When I think of Independence Day, I marvel at the extraordinary courage it took to stand up to the strongest military in the 18th century. I thank our Founders for establishing a nation in which our natural rights are derived from God, and not from government. I thank them for the opportunity they gave to my immigrant ancestors, who came here with nothing – but in one generation produced doctors, dentists, lawyers, and accountants. But I also think of the way many of us have strayed from our founding principles by expecting the government to take care of them. I worry about our retreat from the principle of self-reliance, which truly made our nation great. The government gives us nothing. Taxpayers do.

This nation has been a real miracle to the world and to the history of the human condition! I encourage anyone who has not taken the time to review and study The 5000 Year Leap; look into the study guide. It explains why for 5000 years, the world still live by candle light. Within the last two hundred plus years (after America was born), we’ve been into space, invented computers, and many, many great human advances. We truly have been the shining light on the hill — to the rest of the world!
If the supreme court would reverse their stupid ungodly ruling legalizing homosexual marriage, we might have a shot of staying in God’s good graces and survive another 250 years as a nation!
Frankly, I’m saddened that so many are willing to cede the freedoms and liberties the founding fathers and many thousands of other Americans risked their fortunes and their lives to secure for us. That so many are willing to give up freedoms and rights for the false sense of safety is sad.
I think it’s time we DEMAND term limits. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. Same goes for elected officials.
Our nation has become the very thing our Founding Fathers fought to escape.

I would like the “most liked” comment under this article to be a more hopeful one. With Pres Trump and his much younger team showing what good governance looks like, I think we are starting to win back the USA. The rest of us need to keep engaging with the brainwashed folks who are still voting for Democrats.
Our country “used” to be the home of the free and the brave who fought to fight against Tyranny from outside invasions of the British who wanted to rule. Seems like History is repeating itself with the Democratic Socialists Liberals Regime Agenda out to Destroy America the same way as illustrated by the last 4 years of Tyranny under the Biden Administration. Only difference is they “intentionally” let “ILLEGALS and very DANGEROUS VENEZUELAN GANGS into America, with the full intent of turning America into a Socialist Liberals Government, that almost succeeded. Then, “We the People”, ended it and are Fighting to Restore all that it was to DEPORT those who would change our Freedoms and Liberty, yet the Radical Liberals are still trying Harder than Ever to Destroy America, any way they can. “We the People”, like our Great Ancestors will fight the resistance!!!

I cry when I consider the millions that just don’t care and instead follow the pied piper of “free stuff” without considering the real costs.
Honestly, Sacrifice of the founders and loyal, determined generations of Americans devoted to enhancing and sustaining: life, freedom, and the pursuit of prosperity and true spiritual happiness.
Sadly, each generation forgets how hard our men and women have fought for our freedom. Those who claim to hate this country and all that it stands for should meet the veterans who have come back from war without limbs and other battle scars, especially those going through PTSD. Those of us who will never experience what these brave ones did for our freedom need to remember that ” The price of freedom is not free.”

There is no way one can measure the courage it took for our founders to risk their lives and all their worldly possessions to place their name on the Declaration of Independence. Unlike the spoiled ignorant liberals today when our founders said NO KING they had a real reason to say it! And that same courage has been displayed over the years by our brave military men and women who are willing to lay down their lives to protect our precious freedoms. Many have made the ultimate sacrifice and as a ‘Nam Vet I salute all those who came before and are now standing guard. May God bless and keep you!
All these are important, even people gathering for a celebration. I mentioned to neighbors yesterday that I had read the entire Declaration of Independence for the first time, hoping to encourage them to do so. But they are mostly liberals, so who knows? Our education system is sadly lacking in history/civics instruction and the problem with illegal immigrants is that they are not required to learn our history, as my parents were when they became citizens.
My family is blessed with having 3 Patriot ancestors, all warriors of the Revolutionary War, so the 4th of July holds a special place.
Most Americans do not realize just what the signers of the Declaration risked. The British put them on their version of “most wanted”. Many of them suffered incarceration. Others had their homes burned, property destroyed, wives raped, children tortured or even killed. Some were left completely penniless!
We can never forget their sacrifice and should be eternally grateful for their resolve to free the Colonies of British tyranny.
Yesterday, the 250th anniversary of the beginning of our great country, made me think “How long can this last?” I remember reading somewhere that civilizations have a shelf life and we are approaching the end of ours. With all this absolute nonsense going on over the past 20 or so years (perhaps even longer) I fear this great experiment is coming to an end. Our children and grandchildren will see the downfall of the USA. What will it turn into? Who knows. What can we do to stop these foolish liberals and their beliefs? A sovereign country can not have open borders, rewards based on the color of your skin, free everything, giveaways, liars and scammers in charge, it appears to me that the saying “the squeaky wheel gets the grease” has become true. And those squeaky wheels are all mentally challenged. You wouldn’t put 3 year old in charge of running your household so why would you put people with the brains of 3 year olds in charge of your country? This is making me very sad and fearful. I blame obama (lower case o because he doesn’t deserve my respect). Where are all these socialist/communist “leaders” coming from? The older I get and the more I see I’ve come to believe there IS a grand scheme behind the scenes that is “growing” and installing these people in positions of power. We need to find out who is doing this and stop them from ruining the entire world.

It was refreshing to read an email from Tom Fitton-Judicial Watch yesterday. The content included “IN CONGRESS, JULY 4,1776”.
Many are clueless as to exactly what our founders faced in the passing of The Declararion of Independnece, or the many whys behind it. It was sobering, encouraging, and at the same time sad. Sad because of the contemporay corruption of principles, and how it has been distorted over time. The wisdom behind it applies today.
We were given a Republic- If we can keep it. There is nothing new under the sun, and the challenges perpetuate.
We need to watch and pray for our country.
Marxism is marching steadily, encroaching our Republic. Our congress swears an oath that some members do not uphold, but instead press an opposing agenda. Many do not represent their constituents but rather an agenda.The 5 trillion increase in debt ceiling in the “Big Beautiful Bill” is abhorrent. Governing within our means is lost at this time, and has potential to destroy this nation. “We the People“, our voice as is nearly lost and mute under the size and tentacles of an all too expansive government, special interest lobbying.
May we remember the HOPE and COURAGE of July 4, 1776.
Let us not stand by idly as our nation becomes rubble of its founding doctrines, principles, and documents.

Say what you will about the other choices, but we wouldn’t have those other choices without our Founding Fathers standing up to the tyrannical (and slightly insane) King George III and winning our independence. Without that, we’d be driving on the wrong side of the road and have to pay exorbitant taxes for inferior health care, among other things. Be happy, everybody!
My thoughts of July 4, 2025 were those of HOPE! I’m thankful that we have real leadership in the WH and a strong Administration to support him. I think the changes that are being made are not just addressing problems of principle and morals but are making cultural changes that will change the perspective and pride of living in America. Part of that is raising the level of personal accountability of our citizens and increasing the transparency of our Government officials.
I have an ancestor in the American Revolution, so I at first think of him and his fellow very brave soldiers. Then I think of the following years of soldiers defending our great country. Is our country perfect? No, but it was set up to be as close as possible.
And how wonderful to have spent the best part of my life as an adopted American. Thank you America for allowing me to come. I hope time will judge that my contributions were worthy of your trust in me.
As I see what is happening to our great and exceptional Country it not only makes me sad but extremely mad. I see the last few generations not being taught our history and the Founding Documents of our Nation. The vast majority of them don’t know anything about our Country, who the Founders were, who the men/women of our Nation that played key roles throughout our history, who President’s were, and even the names of States!! And I blame many, many parent’s for that as well as the education system! The government under the far-left progressives (Socialists and Marxists and corrupt politicians) has caused more harm to our Country than anything in our history. Marxism and Islamist (not moderate Muslims) influence has taken a deadly hold on our educational system and we, the everyday Americans, have sat by and let it happen. We call for term limits, but their is a ballot box where we can enforce term limits selectively, ousting the anti-America men and women and keeping the good. But. in looking out on the street interviews of people, mainly in our large cities, I have to ask myself……………how are they even capable of voting intelligently?? And most of today’s activist elected officials don’t have a clue what is in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights! Congress will not vote for term limits on their own and I don’t see enough voter’s doing it either, so, those who love America, our Founding, and our future need to constantly vote in all elections, Federal; State; Local (this one is really important) and do it enmass on a constant basis!! And then we will survive!! Sorry, for going on and on………
God Bless the USA! We will overcome with and through the grace of God. Spend more time seeking out the good in people and being kind.
TRUST BUT VERIFY!!!
First I feel hope as we have a president who holds “America first” values. Then I think of the people who freely give freedoms away. They used to need a court order to tap a phone and listen in on you. Now we have Alexa, Siri, security companies with “two way voice communication”, blink and ring cameras,,etc. I think of the brave souls who met in secret to plan their escape from the tyrannical government ruling the colonies and wonder if such a feat would be possible today with all the cyber surveillance? And I despair that with the greed of the populace for the latest and greatest gadget, that they are too blind to see the risks, and to realize the freedoms they just give away. Credit cards tracking our every purchase. GPS in our phones and cars tracking our every movement. Military drones that take the human factor out of wars. Greed to get the cheapest product without thought of the place of manufacture. Who cares where clothes are made, but drugs we depend on, or electronics that can spy on us should come from a TRUSTED source. We once were a great nation, but I fear we are giving it away.
People don’t know much regarding America ; the new ones protest with no aspect of bettering America rather demanding more .
In summary , protest in foreign lands where Government is enslaving .
All the world should celebrate this day! It signifies the beginning of a “fire of democracy” that spread all over the globe. Can you imagine what the world would look like without the good ole USA. I just don’t understand why we tolerate “anti american protests”. Pass laws and Deport these fools that are being financed by foreign actor’s. Its a clear attempt to undermine our peaceful values and induce Chaos! One quote that has been proven true over the years is “Freedom is NOT Free”. We must fight for it, so Continue to Fight, Fight, Fight America! Your future depends on your willingness to stand up and fight against the Crazies.
Sadly, the first thing for most is “what are we going to do” rather than “what was done”.
I also think of my loving son who was born on 7/4, 55 years ago.
Our politicians are corrupt and power hungry and most of all cowards. Sorry, but democrats are much worse. Live a good life with your family and friends, we only have one vote. Enjoy your life.

Any one of the first three and the last thoughts are valid. We didn’t risk our lives, our fortunes and our reputations to have cookouts and fireworks, sorry! We had to get away from Parliament’s Tyranny, though done in the name of King George III, it was Parliament who was doing the taxation without representation and that whole gamut of tyrannical acts. Poor George III got the blame because he was the king. Thanks to his predecessors not speaking English, referring to George I and George II of Hanover, a lot of royal power and prerogatives were stripped away. Blame Parliament! not the poor king! Just a little history lesson!
I call it Irresponsibility Day. It is incredibly irresponsible for so many of my neighbors to shoot off huge fireworks with all the noise, smoke, and trash, long into the night. They’re not celebrating our country’s independence, they’re just a bunch of jerks who enjoy raising hell. It isn’t right and it isn’t fair.
I voted for life liberty and happiness, I should have voted for number five, how horrible and stupid we are.

When I think of Independence Day, I think of the 5 Revolutionary War Vets that I found in my family tree while doing genealogy. I wonder how many of us do not even realize that we may be directly descended from these people. It gives me another angle from which to think about what is happening today. We cannot let these ghoulish leftists ruin our country.

As we celebrate this 4th of July. The 249th year of the birth of the United States of America, which is the pinnical of governance, by and for its people. It is worth noting that the Founding Fathers of the United States never held formal political office in another country before 1776. Some did have experience in public service within the American colonies, yet none served in the government of any other nations prior to the American Revolution, or studied politics during their early education in preparation for a political career. Think about that! None of our founding fathers were career politicans, linked and obligated to a party, or was paid a living wage to serve.
Now, knowing that our freedoms and governance was designed by the poeople who lived and worked outside of a political party or had a political career, why are we, “The People,” electing and paying career politicans and subsidizing political parties?
Hard working Americans, who live and understand the common sense behind American values, to “Live and Pursue Happiness,” in our lives, and our nation should be the people who we need to represent us. Everyday hardworking, common sense Americans are the people, “We the People,” should be electing as our representatives.
The Americans who built a company, design and erect a building, a person who worked hard to farm, ranch, or manufacture to give jobs to their fellow Americans are the people we all need to represent us. So, why are we still electing career self serving politicans. Politicans who represent ideologies that do not support American values, American freedoms and the common sense American way of life. “We the American People” are not a bee hive communal people and never will be!

Actually when I think of July 4, 2025, I thank God we have Trump and conservative leadership again. The last 4 years were very scary.
I know this is difficult, as it is near impossible to cede quite literally everything to God. But truly, truly Christ Jesus gave us that power, that immense power. I am speaking from personal experience as I request that we, as a nation, all turn to God, let God take the reins. The impact will be impact phenomenal. . . And so I ask, as Paul the Apostle encourages us in Philippians 4:6-7
Pride in America and being an American, whoever is occupying the Oval Office. We are the Greatest Country in the world be sure of our Principles and form of Government. It should not matter what party you are!! We Are American
