What?! “Avoid controversial topics”?!
What better opportunity than at the State of the Union Address to let the country know what’s really going on in the hallowed halls of Washington. There’s no bigger mouthpiece than the SOTU, when 40, 50, 60 million people tune in to listen. With a dose of civility and reference to the real numbers, the real facts, this is our chance to let all of America know how the dems are intent on destroying this great economy and steering our free society down the dark road of socialism. But he CAN do it “nicely”, merely by stating the facts and informing us of his plans to keep America safe, free, and prosperous.
Bones from WW II, bones from the Korean conflict, love of veteran’s, but not one word about our POWs in Vietnam. Zero. They may still be alive, a few of them. Our voting population is philosophically split 50/50. Everything is “controversial.” It’s like 1860, again. Insane. It’s A-OK in the minds of some people to murder babies. That’s the SOTU! Sure, push all the positives, but there’s no way a SOTU address will be non-controversial.
This is a terribly worded poll. There is a contradiction which causes confusion. How can he avoid controversial topics and stick to current key topics. ALL topics are controversial these days in our hyper-polarized country with the idiot DEMS.
In the next State of the Union speech President Trump should use the same mode as he did in his second SOTU. It was fantastic!
Condemn the Muslims and set up a covert plan to rid the USA of them.
