The United States and Israel have launched a joint military operation against Iran codenamed “Operation Epic Fury.” Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and dozens of top Iranian leaders have been killed, and the United States has destroyed many Iranian military assets. Six U.S. military service members have been killed in Iranian counterattacks.

President Donald Trump says that this operation was necessary to pre-empt an Iranian first strike on U.S. forces in the Middle East and permanently end Iran’s ambitions to build a nuclear weapon.

Democrats and some Republicans say that the operations against Iran are illegal and accuse President Trump of starting an unnecessary war.

Given this context, what is your opinion on the ongoing U.S. military involvement in and around Iran?

If the U.S. and Israel did not attack Iran, the jihadi movement to establish a global radical Islamic caliphate would continue to escalate its objective to reestablish dominance of its radically violent “religion,” as it existed in the early years of Islam.

To that end, Iran has been the major funder of numerous Islamic extremist groups polluting our world, such as Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Qaeda, Al-Nusra, Al-Shabaab, Houthis, ISIS etc., which grew out of the Muslim Brotherhood. The atrocities carried out by these Islamic terrorists has been experienced world-wide, culminating the 9/11 attacks, and more recently with the genocidal attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.

For nearly five decades, Iran (or one of its proxies) have initiated attacks on Americans and Israelis:

·     1979: Seizing of American embassy in Iran holding 52 U.S. diplomats hostage 444

days

·     1983: Bombing of Marine Barracks in Lebanon killing 241 U.S. military personnel

·     1984: Bombing of U.S. Embassy Annex in Lebanon killing 23

·     1985: Hijacking of TWA Flight 847 – a 17-day ordeal killing one U.S. Navy diver

·     1992: Bombing of Israeli Embassy in Argentina killing 29 and injuring 242

·     1994: Bombing of Jewish Community Center in Argentina killing 85 and injuring 300

·     1996: Bombing of Khobar Towers targeting U.S. forces in Saudi Arabia killing 19

U.S. Air Force personnel and injuring 400

·      2002-2011: Iran’s involvement in Shia militia attacks on U.S. forces in Iraq

·     2010 to present: Iran’s involvement in Shia militia attack on U.S. bases in Iraq and

Syria

·     2001: The 9/11 attack on U.S. soil – Iran only had indirect involvement

·     2023: The Hamas attack on Israel – 1200 deaths and abduction of 251 hostages

The loss of American lives inflicted by the radical Iranian regime is much higher. Iran’s improvised explosive devices (IEDS) took many more American lives in Iraq and Afghanistan — totaling more than 4,200.

Beyond Iran’s ongoing aggressions against the American military, let’s talk about the Mullahs’ connections with Mexican drug cartels and other hostile powers in Latin America. Along with Venezuela and Cuba, Iran has been providing most of the oil to the noxious axis-level adversaries like Russia and China. These communist and Islamist regimes have remained on life support because of Iranian backing. Enough is enough!

It’s about realism. The ayatollahs’ first loyalty is to an apocalyptic ideology that sees nuclear capability as a tool for global dominance against nonbelievers. Iran has been feverishly working to complete their goal of building and launching nuclear weapons on the U.S. and Israel. Despite the U.S. taking out three nuclear sites buried in the Iranian mountains last June, the Mullahs were working overtime to restart their program to annihilate us. Did we really want to wait for that? Thank God we have an administration with the fortitude to do the right thing!

I’m so sick and tired of the MSM and the clueless masses on the left! President Trump has finally done what no other President would do by removing the worst dictator and leading sponsor of terror this world has seen since Hitler. As Commander-in-Chief, President Trump has the complete right to use the military as he sees fit. This ISN’T a “Declared War”, it’s a Military Action! The Democrat Party and all of the leftist idiots never protested when President Obama used military action against Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia, and Pakistan. WHAT A DOUBLE STANDARD!

America is not fighting Iran because of Israel.

America is fighting Iran because Iran has been fighting America for forty-five years.

From the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing that killed 241 U.S. servicemen to the Khobar Towers attack that killed 19 Airmen, the record is clear: this war did not start in 2026.

It is so comical how socialist/demos/progressives always oppose any action by a conservative/Repub, but if you look back in history, demos have numerous times taken the same actions. Socialist/progressive/marxist/libtards only care about money into their pocket, they don’t care about the military, police or the religious. The left does not care if your children are raped, killed or sex trafficked, the left are nothing but Immoral degenerates and I’m thankful Trump has the balls to do what presidents in the past should have done.

In addition to the dangers from Iran itself, an even greater danger, in my opinion, are the internal dangers, terrorist sleeper cells that have been allowed to enter the country under the previous administrations and their elected supporters in Congress. Those Americans (and some who are merely posing as Americans) are complicit in making possible the demise of America and Western civilization. They must be rooted out and held accountable. Otherwise, we will never be safe.

Iran was coming very close to having a nuclear weapon capable of destroying Isreal. This, and destroying us has been their goal all along. Trump has warned them that he doesn’t draw red lines and then just ignore them, they were warned. After obama and biden financing their development of the weapons, this “war” was inevitable, just as closing our borders and sending the illegals home. That’s why I voted for Trump!

Iran has been at war with US for 47 years. They have killed hundreds of US citizens through their proxy groups and have spread into the Western Hemisphere in places like Venezuela. Their POLITICAL ideology [not religious] is a CANCER that needed to be cut out and thrown away. Prior “leaders” had been all TALK and no ACTION. Obama and Biden had actually helped Iran get a nuclear weapon. We shouldn’t need
“boots on the ground” if we arm the Persian citizens and enable the Kurds and others to do the dirty work!

Sigh. Everyone that says Trump started a war either hasn’t been alive very long or they have short memories. I vividly remember the Mullah’s seizing our Iranian Embassy along with all the other attacks by the Islamic Theocracy and their proxies. President Trump isn’t starting a war, he’s finishing one, one that has been ongoing for FORTY SEVEN YEARS!!!!

President Trump did absolutely the right thing by decapitating the Iranian leadership and destroying their ability to develop nuclear weapons and destroying their ability to make war. He is giving the Iranian people the ability to free themselves from an extremist dictatorship. This “war” will create peace throughout the world.

The success of our military has been stunning. It appears that they may be able to complete their part of the mission by the end of the month as long as ground troops aren’t needed.

As far as the ultimate political success of the mission and its impact on the region, it’s way too early to tell. Stay tuned.

The Islamic Republic regime has been waging war on it’s neighbors, Muslim and non-Muslim, and many parts of the globe, since it’s birth in 1979.
If you take a little bit of time to investigate Islam, you discover that they view the world as Muslim and Not Yet Muslim. The Islamic Republic has never engaged in HONEST peace talks, and never will.
Iran is the ROOT cause of modern day violence in the Middle East and across the Globe.
Without dealing with Iran, the rest of the world is expending it’s resources, it’s blood, for zero return.
We tried, the whole world has tried.
Trump is doing what needs to be done for our grandchildren … all across the Globe.
America First has the beneficial side-effect of being good for the Globe.

Iran has chanted ‘DEATH to AMERICA’ for over FORTY YEARS.

What better way to actualize that THREAT than with NUCLEAR missiles (with AID and SUPPORT from China, Russia and North Korea).

You either believe the Iranians MEAN what they SAY or YOU have your HEAD up your BACKSIDE in DENIAL.

The CHOICE is YOURS.

I moved to the US August of 1979. I remember the years of plane hijackings and hostage taking, all funded by Hezbollah (Iran). Iran has always hated peace. People crying for Iran now (because they don’t know / don’t remember the past) need to watch Argo at least to try to get a sense of how horrible Iran was and is and can be.

Previous Administrations had condoned, & at times, abetted Iran’s terrorism, Trump knew his efforts would be undone by future Administrations if possible. Each year of negotiations saw Iran become more powerful and harder to eradicate; each day of negotiations in this last round saw Iran’s allies bring more weapons to help Iran kill US soldiers and our allies. Waiting would make it harder, and at all times Iran could have positively defanged itself, if it were willing. Unfortunately, decades of successful stalling and lying will becoming more venomous made Iran think that would happen again. Thank Trump for making the world safer; hopefully the Iranian people can free themselves from their captors as well.

It will be no surprise that this conflict will emerge in all parts of the world, where jihadists are now living ( influencing and recruiting). We are fallen people living in a fallen world, remember.
How long it takes, or where next….that’s in God’s hands. Only He knows The word of God clearly outlines the peoples who will exist in the end of days. It will be no surprise.
Secure your own salvation in Christ, and all this will not matter. You’ll be eternally with the Almighty God! Speak to others about Jesus, as we are commanded to share the Gospel.

The last three questions that some people actually voted for boggle my mind. How could you think this is not putting America first? Iran would have gleefully wiped out some of our populous cities in a heartbeat. They think this war is wrong. Well have to break some eggs to make an omelet. The President is perfectly legal and right to protect America and strike first, as we will not know how many American lives were saved by his decisive action. As far as wanting more information before you make a decision, well, that kind of thinking gets you killed. I support the President all the way. I said in another post that I am thankful that America is finally off her knees. God Bless America and President Trump and his administration.

I am sorry I did not add that without the intelligence reports from Israel, it would have made things a little more difficult. The IDF appears fearless to me. The way it has been done shows desire to get it done and get out. The military resources were gathered and then set free to do what they are trained and equipped to do. Limits are set but, within those limits, the military does their job.

Even the Arab countries are on our side. A destructive cancer is being removed from socities. You cut it out and let it heal. That’s what the military is trained/paid to do. Job done.

This war is 47 years overdue. Iran attacked our embassy and took our personnel hostage for 444 days. The wholly ineffectual leadership of America just rolled over and played dead. Even Ronald Reagan didn’t have the moral fortitude to retaliate.

In the years since, every foreign conflict we’ve been in has had Iranian fingerprints all over it. The Iranian regime supported the attacks on the World Trade Center—both the failed one and 9/11. The Iranian regime supported Iraqi and Afghan forces who fought against us in those wars. How many American lives could have been saved if we had waged war against the real enemy instead of its puppets for 47 years?

It is normal to have concerns about this, be it should have been done a long time ago. Evil regimes like this do not want to negotiate, all they know or care about is death and destruction; this had to be done. It sickens me to see these democrats who have more sympathy for Iranian terrorist leaders than they do for the safety of their own country. My question now is where are the charges of treason against Obama for supplying pallets full of cash that helped to fund the evil Iranian regime, allowing them to advance their nuclear weapons program and fund terrorism? After all, it is financial aid like this that helped lead to this invasion in the first place. BHO is one of the most dangerous people in this country. Where are the charges of treason against Biden for the absolute disaster in Afghanistan? It has become very clear now that this democrat party is so radicalized that they will support anything that will lead to the destruction of this country. I only hope that people will see this come the midterms. Otherwise the leaders of this country will become like the leaders of the country that America just destroyed.

Every Iranian ayatollah is the extreme version of radical and are spreading it as a religious purpose which is wrong in every way. The cvilized world cannot contiue with such thinkers and unpredictable actors getting nuclear weapons. Hope North Korea is paying attention. If not, then they need handling by China. A sleepert I’m concerned aout is Pakistan which also has nukes that th US provided. Depending on their behavior going forward, that “gift” may need rescinding. All to say, cleaning up the ayatollahs is the right move, just hope it will end soon. At hundreds of strikes daily Iran must be running out of arms, even with Russia & China sending more.
